The Catania

My grandma is at The Catania. It looks like a Spanish-style apartment. She chose it because that was the only place that she could afford to go to. It's a decent place, but it's not in a good neighborhood. I wouldn't recommend anybody going over there. The living and the upkeep are fine. She has two bedrooms, a full bath, a small kitchen, a living space, and a little outdoor patio. It's a nice apartment. There's nothing wrong with it. They have an outdoor area where they can barbecue or hang out, or something like that. Other than that, there's not too much they've got going on over there. I haven't interacted with any staff. They make their own meals.

I liked the proximity of Primrose to downtown and the medical center because my brother's doctors were located there, and that's really helpful because it wasn't a far distance to travel. It was near grocery stores and pharmacies. They had elevators and a lot of activities. One of the things with the seniors was that they could get lonely and isolated. So, the fact that they had a lot of group activities was really attractive to me as well. They had a lot of amenities, like transportation to local areas to help with shopping. The staff was really nice and very helpful. They were willing to go the extra mile to help you complete the application. However, you would be responsible for providing your own food. I would recommend them to others.
