"I had a friend at Sharon Care Center, and they weren't very good. It's a rehab center. The people were very nice. Maybe my friend was just demanding, but it was kind of hard for her to get their attention sometimes or to get therapy. Therapy was really an issue. She was there for a while, and she wasn't under any therapy for a long time. She didn't like the food, so other friends of mine started bringing her food, or she ordered food. My friends would bring her fruits and the snacks that she liked. She would send food back. I think the chef might have gotten a little upset because she would be sending everything back. Her room held three beds. She had to go to the hospital, and when she came back, she had to go to a different room. When her old room became available, they put her in it again. The upkeep was pretty good, but the parking was terrible. You have to park on the street. There's a gym across the street, and on the side street is a residential area. It looks like it was permit-parking at certain hours. It looked like you could get blocked in, or you could block someone else in. During certain hours of the day, it was valet parking. It also wasn't leveled, so it was kind of on a little hill. It was not user-friendly at all. I didn't see much activity going on while I was there. I also didn't see too much interaction. It could be because of my friend, who wasn't engaging in anything. I remember they had a COVID outbreak there, too, and it didn't seem like they contained it enough. I thought that instead of the little barriers, they could have had more plastic around, or they could have let everybody who was coming to visit know that there was an outbreak."

"My mother has already been moved to Guardian Rehabilitation Hospital. It's very clean, and they're constantly updating things. They are constantly painting and repairing. I don't know if that means it was in bad shape before, but it seemed to be in good physical shape. The people working there are very kind, very considerate, and I would say conscientious. They are working to maintain good health, not just wait for bad things to happen. They responded early and were proactive. When it comes to the food, she's on a special diet. They aren't any more over-priced than anybody else, but it's all so expensive. The reason I left her there and did not move her is because they had skilled nursing. They are close to her hospital and oncologist. So for me, this value is part of our whole care package. They are close to dialysis and senior communities. They have a lot of things within five miles because of the area. There's good care around, so because of that, you pay more. It's worth it if I would ever need to have mom sent back to the hospital. The staff is very kind to my mother. She speaks highly of them. They've repainted everything. They're constantly mopping and sweeping. I've gone in the morning, and I've gone in the afternoon; they're constantly cleaning. I just feel like they're really making an effort to make it better."

"I visited Westside Health Care. It was very nice. They were very accommodating. They took their time with us. They were very cordial, very helpful, and very forthright. I really appreciated them and everything about them. They have different games. They have a calendar full of something that they do everyday. "

"My father moved into Country Villa Terrace Assisted Living. I've only been there a few times and there were some things I wasn't pleased with. I had to tell them that and we had to split some things around for me to tell them what my dad needed. So tomorrow I'm going to go check out what the changes have been and see if he's comfortable. The rooms are okay. They're not immaculate. I didn't like the bed, that's why I'm having him transferred to a hospital bed. He's in assisted living, but now I would switch to palliative care. The staff isn't as attentive as I thought they would be. I felt that my father needed a bit more hands-on care. The food looked good."

"My Dad ( was 32A now 17B)) was admitted late January 2017. At first, I felt the facility was not going to treat or meet the care of my Dad with the necessary attention he needs. My immeadiate intentions were to remove my Dad from Fountain View once an opportunity would open up. But you'd be surprised what lovely people work there. The Nurses just attend to administering medications but are very polite and answer ALL questions. The respiratory techs are incredibly awesome and on every hour to suction patients. My admiration esp. goes to all the CNA 's.... WOW! I go visit my father just about everyday at different times and the care provided by those CNA's is exceptional. Day in and day out all nurses and techs are friendly with positive aditude . The vocation of caring and the service provided is extraordinarily. Who cares if the facility is a bit outdated! The CARE given to patients is what's important ...... I'm truly impressed and Thankful to all Fountain View Nurses, techs and CNA's for the support and empathy my father and I have received by them! "

"My dad was at Studio City Rehabilitation Center. I recommend that everybody stays as far away as possible from them. The place is very interested in keeping its residents as long as possible so they can have their money. They gave substandard care. My dad was overmedicated on Valium and painkillers, but he didn't need them. He was unnecessarily given a feeding tube because he was demented and wasn't eating, and it turned out he had a urinary tract infection. The hospital that put the feeding tube in told me that he had bedsores and a urinary tract infection, and this is why he didn't want to eat and was acting irrational because he wasn't being treated for a urinary tract infection. My dad went through four months of hell, and now he is home suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder because of his experience there. They were inconsistent in his physical therapy if he got any at all. He was mostly just sedated and plugged in. When I want to get him out of there, they told me that I had to wait three weeks because it takes three weeks to get home care which turned out to be a flat-out lie; they just wanted to milk three more weeks of insurance money out of him. After I got home care, they told me it only takes a few days. I found the whole experience just awful. Also the food was horrible. "

"Imperial Care was really good. The place was very clean and well-kept. The staff was very attentive to my dad. He is always clean and neat and he seem to have two people with him at all times. They took additional steps to make sure my dad was comfortable. The people were very gracious and welcoming. The lady who owns it, Irene, was very thoughtful, caring, and diligent. I think they had my dad's best interest at heart and she provided good service workers to manage him. I know at one point there's one person that seem to be questionable and she let the person go, which I thought was the appropriate thing to do. So she seemed to be very much on top of what she does there. But my dad had Alzheimer's. He was becoming very difficult to manage and refused to cooperate. They couldn't handle him anymore, so we had to look for another place and transferred him to a memory care facility. He died a few days later. "

"Our experience with Windsor Gardens has been quite interesting. We are satisfied but there are some areas that need some improvement. The care is somewhat inconsistent. There seems to be a lot of caring and competent staff. They have tried to be very cordial, open, and very accommodating. We are welcome at the facility any time. "

"I was in Brier Oak on Sunset. The facility was nice. The nurses were nice and considerate. The food was good. It was during COVID, so I really didn't get to do activities. They brought us articles to read, we had television and all that, so it was a comfortable facility. I have nothing bad to say about it. They made sure you had your bath. It was a good facility overall. The facility was nice. They had a smoking section and we were able to go out. It was large and you could go anywhere around the facility. The cost was decent, but it was a little expensive. My cousin has been looking for a place and I told him the best place would be Brier Oaks because he is in a wheelchair and he is unable to walk, but he can afford to pay lots of money."

"My brother is in Alexandria Care Center. I have no complaint at all at this point. It's a very nice facility. I'm pleased with what I've see so far. They're better than a lot of places that I've seen. They seem to have a very good activities program. My brother does not participate in them at this time, but what I've seen is very good. Their facilities are excellent."

"I was at Longwood March-May 2019. What are the rooms like? It’s a hospital you have a bed, nightstand and a shared bathroom. TV too but I never watched, had a Kindle with all the extras and headphones. Interactions with the staff was excellent, they went out of their way to see to my constant requests. Activities? Not much, Smoking seems the most popular.I quit smoking while here. Tho there is a physical therapy room where you can exercise and the staff there are most helpful. Community? I don’t know about that, I was only here for 6 wks. My nurse was incredible as was the lady boss in charge of the facility. I must have drove her crazy with all my requests. Which she fulfilled every one! They checked on me daily. The nurses day and night were very kind, that’s the most important thing to me."
