I am a resident of The Village of Tanglewood. This apartment is gorgeous. I have two balconies, one off the main living area, and one off the bedroom. The air conditioning works fabulously. They are beautiful. They offer more activities that I can participate in. The amenities are quite wonderful. The only thing is, they do not offer valet assistance or valet services. That would be the only issue. The only suggestion would be to add that. It's wonderful. I love it here. Their menus here are extensive. It's truly a culinary delight. You get one meal. You get breakfast every morning, and then on Sundays, they have a phenomenal brunch. You can either order lunch or dinner, but the lunch reflects dinner so you can order two entrees and two sides. They make sure everyone is well taken care of.

Mom, a native Houstonian, has lived comfortably at The Villages at Tanglewood for a year now. The casual and friendly atmosphere matches how she lived in her prior home of 20 years making the transition to independent living easier. The staff are accommodating and kind. She is still mentally and physically active and what the Villages at Tanglewood do not provide, the YMCA across the street does. When my husband and I visit from Austin, we actually stay on site in one of the apartments reserved for family guests. The food is so good, we happily eat in the restaurant where the wait staff are attentive and friendly. This is a safe and happy place for Mom.

I am a resident of The Village of Tanglewood. There isn't anything to dislike. The food is outstanding, the staff is very nice, and the facility is extremely nice. There's just nothing to complain about. It is very, very nice and everything is kept very well. They have a gym with all sorts of equipment. They have a swimming pool, a movie room, and two or three other rooms that are used for various things, including games that people want to play. They have a dining room, and they also have a mail room. They have a beauty and barber salon, but it's not owned by them. I've been to it one time and it's too expensive to attend. The food is outstanding. The dining room is very nice. It's large and very nice with white tablecloths and a very polite staff. They have card games and lots of movies. They have everything, as far as I can tell. It's very expensive, but I've heard that are other places are more expensive. I chose this one mostly because it's two blocks from my church and they will take me to church.

My parents have already been in The Village of Tanglewood for three years now. They like where they are. It's "grade A" all the way. It's very, very nice and a great place. They have people who come in and sing at Christmastime, they play bingo, and there's a calendar of events on display, like in the elevator, and it tells you what's going on throughout the day. They also have a recreation room, a swimming pool, and a fitness center, and they do special things during Easter, Memorial Day, and all that.

We toured The Village of Tanglewood and it was our favorite. Its perfect in every way. They have beautiful meal service, they have lovely apartments, they have great staff, and its in a great location. Its just a beautiful place. The person who accommodated us during the tour was a fellow by the name of John Paul. He was wonderful and very helpful. The dining area was outstanding, the service and dining room itself was beautiful, the food was good, and there are nice choices. They have a chef that goes out of his way to make the food appealing. They have a swimming pool, all kinds of classes, entertainment, social activities, an exercise room, and nice grounds to walk around in. The residents are busy all the time, but you can be as busy as you want to (or not). They have classy staff members and they stay. They dont have as much turnover as the other places. The only thing is that there wasnt enough guest-parking and that could be a problem. Although they have a parking garage that you could go to if they dont have parking in the front.

My first choice is Village of Tanglewood. The facility was really good, and the rooms were really nice. The lady who toured me around was very friendly. They didn't feed me at all, but it was a typical dining room. It was the best that I saw because it appeared to be brand new. The rooms were about what I expected.

The people at The Village of Tanglewood were wonderful with us. The director was incredible. We had dinner, and the food was excellent. We saw the apartments, and they were wonderful.

I live in the Village of Tanglewood. It is going downhill, because little by little they're cutting services. They are putting a big bash for marketing and that is something that residents do resent because we pay for it. They ran out of food and we're down to two entrees a meal, and that is one fewer than we have been getting. The rooms and accommodation is good enough, but I think we pay too much for what we get.

This facility is really well kept, especially in the foyer area. They have a piano and a small pool. The rooms are well-kept and are really modernized. The entryway is really great. The residents have access to transportation provided by the facility. They have a recreational and fitness program for the residents. The common areas are really spacious. It seems like the location and neighborhood is really nice. This facility also has a storage area for the residents. Some of the rooms have a view. The ceilings were also much higher than at other facilities, and the countertops are granite. They have walk-in showers, nice carpeting, crown molding, and nice window coverings. The staff didn't want to tell me how much it would actually cost to live there, but the fees are based on a monthly rental fee. I know the fees include housekeeping and maintenance, plus transportation and the two scheduled meals per day. If some of their residents can't meet the rental fee for the month, they have different programs and discounts for some of their seniors who are on fixed incomes, so they work with the residents so the fees won't be a burden on them. I talked to one staff member, and she seemed to have an issue with the management, though she didn't want to get into details. She seemed to be well-trained, and she was an RN. The staff provides after-hours contact information for staff in case any of the residents need help. The family members are welcome to come in at any time, rather than having to come in at one specific time during the day.
