"We toured Holiday Indigo Pines. What I liked most about it was the openness and that the residents actually seemed very happy. Everywhere we went we were greeted by residents with a smile. We looked at the activity list. The activity list was fantastic for seniors. We liked the fact that when the residents went into the dining room they ordered from the menu like a restaurant, which was great. It made them feel more confident. They were happy. They have music. The residents love music. The only thing that I would say negatively about it is that the showers have a six-inch lip. We were looking at a bathroom with about a six-inch lip, and because of some leg issues of my daughter-in-law's grandmother, we're not sure that she can safely lift her foot over that lip to get into the shower. We're going to schedule an on-site visit with my daughter-in-law's grandmother to see if it would be accommodating for her, so that would be the only setback. It was just a wonderful facility to visit, and I think anyone would be very happy once they saw it. If they were looking for something, I think that would be a great place for them to look first for independent living. The facility was very clean. The size of the room that we looked at was a bit smaller. That's another thing, trying to fit her furniture in that small studio that would accommodate the price that we were looking at, but we're still weighing that because it is affordable. I don't think the size would deter us as much as a lip on the shower for her safety. That's the only thing that I think would deter us."

"The least I liked about Sunabella Senior Living is they have two separate buildings, one for memory care, and one for assisted living, and they do a little bit more in one building, so if the residents don't go to the other building they might miss something, Overall, I think it's a very beautiful location in Savannah. The facility was clean. The room sizes were nice. The staff was wonderful, showing me the different rooms and the sizes, and how they could walk outside in a garden. It was very spacious. The residents have nice places to sit and places to walk inside and outside. I've met a couple of the staff members, as well as the management who showed me around. They were very nice and very informative. They had a studio bedroom and one bedroom. The rooms were great and had a very nice layout."

"We're on the list at Savannah Square. It's nice. They have a lot of places to walk outside and of course, you can walk inside. They have some cottages if you want to live there or they have an inside place where you can live, and that's what we like. We like the inside better because we are older and all. Inside the apartments, they had a stove, a refrigerator, and a dishwasher, but they did not have a microwave. If you stay inside the building, you cannot have a washer and dryer in your apartment. You have to use one down the hall, and they have a laundry room there. If you stay in a cottage, you can have a washer and dryer, but you have to purchase it yourself. The staff who took me around was very nice and very knowledgeable. She did not pressure us. They provide three meals a day. We had lunch there and it was good. Everything was very clean."

"I have lived at The Marshes since 2018 and appreciate and enjoy it more each year. When I first arrived I thought I was too young to live here, but meeting the other residents quickly made me realize how wrong I was. Many of my new best friends have been in their 90's and I have learned that age is just a number. The facilities are awesome, activities are fun and plentiful and the dining options are varied and delicious. But it is the people who really make the place feel like home. Not only the residents, who are bright, interesting and welcoming, but the staff who can't do enough for you and learn your name seemingly overnight. If you are considering a move here, I say go for it!"

"We have three golf courses at Sun City Hilton Head, tennis, our own library, and a hall that shows movies. It's quite a nice place. We have our own houses that are pretty well built for retirees because it's a 55+ community. It's laid out very well and runs like a small city. "

"I went to Sprenger Health Care Bluffton. The tour was very good. Cynthia did a good job with the tour. She's very knowledgeable and helpful. I was not impressed with their staff-to-resident ratio in the assisted living part. I thought their staff-to-resident ratio number was not where it should be. The rooms seemed fine. Everything looked clean. They're a very usable, livable type of space. There's a small refrigerator, like a little freezer, a little microwave, and a little counter where they could fix a cup of coffee, and that seemed to be pretty standard across the facilities."

"My father will be moving into Bloom at Belfair. It's a very nice place. We like that. They've got very good people. We like the offerings of the place. It looks like it's going to fit my father's needs very well. They've got lots of different things going on. They have transportation, snacks, and meals. The best thing about it is you pay one price and there are very few incidentals after that beyond your medical and stuff. The meal preparation is a big deal, the house cleaning, and the fact that there's going to be someone there onsite 24/7 if something happens."
