My mother-in-law moved into The Social at Savannah. Our initial visit was very nice. Everybody there was very friendly and very welcoming to her, as well as to us. So, we found the facility to be very nice and she seems to be quite happy there. It's a one-bedroom apartment. It's a separate bedroom, living room, small kitchen and bathroom. They offer quite a few activities. She hasn't participated in a whole lot of them yet, but they do have social gatherings, Bible studies and game times, bingo, and things like that. They do physical therapy. They do occupational therapy, and she's participating in both of those.

I will be moving into The Social at Savannah. I like the place. I love the grounds and the rooms. I love the way the laundry room is. There's nothing that I dislike. I like the way the staff handled herself and handled the business. The residents sit around and play cards and chess. They sit around and do a lot of talking. The way the lunchroom is set up and designed is very real. I liked what I saw. You can pick up the food and take it back to your apartment or you can dine in and eat.

We toured The Social at Savannah. The apartments are just right for the senior citizens. They have a cute little kitchen, a decent-sized living room, a room, and a bathroom for them. They have facilities there to help out if the person that you need to put in there needs help of any kind. They have concierge services. They have three times a week where they go out grocery shopping. You just gotta make sure to put your name on the list. They also do like little events, take them out, and just get to make sure you're on the list as well. They will help any of those who are ex-military with the VA. I'm sure it was pretty good. That's the one we were trying to go for, but the VA didn't work out for us.

The Social at Savannah is a nice place. The meals are good. They take good care of us. They have plenty of facilities. They have a very equipped exercise room, a pool table with billiards, and other activities, which I haven't had the chance to do yet. They have card games, bingo and other such things. The staff has been great. The gentleman at maintenance has helped me quite a bit. We had trouble getting furniture in, and they're very helpful. And I have a two-bedroom apartment because I'm so young, and I haven't completely downsized yet.

My brother will move into The Social at Savannah. The feel and look of the place are wonderful. The staff is friendly. The grounds are beautiful and kept up. The inside was nice, clean, and pristine. Everything is to our liking. The dining area was very nice. They offer kitchens in the independent living, which was a very important thing for us. My brother is a cook, so he preferred to have that as opposed to the other place that did not include a kitchen. That was our big decision-maker right there for us. For activities, they have people come in weekly to play and give people some social activities, and so we like that pretty good, too.

The Social at Savannah was a nice facility. They had a good plan. They had activities for the people in the facility and they had a nice deck and a sitting area for people to sit outside with rocking chairs and things like that. The room they showed me had a bedroom, a bathroom, and a small sitting area.

The Social at Savannah was very nice. The living areas were nice. They would serve meals and different things. The staff was very friendly. The apartments were a good size for myself and my husband. The living atmosphere was cozy, comfortable, and safe. It was a very large community and had different floor levels. They had elevators to go up to the upper floors. The dining area was a good size to accommodate the community. They had bingo, different games, and holiday activities. The place was very clean and very neat.

We found that The Social at Savannah was very welcoming and inviting when we got there. The first person who greeted us ensured that we had a place to wait for the tour to begin. So it was a very comfortable experience. We walked through the complex. We saw the dining area, as well as the entertainment area where residents can meet with each other, communicate, play games, and have entertainment. We thought that that was a very nice area to be a part of. Then we were taken to an individual unit so that we could take a look around and just get an idea of what the unit had to offer for an individual who would consider becoming a resident there. So we had a chance to do that as well.

I liked the fact that the Social at Savannah showed me a two bedroom and it was up on the fourth floor, which was great. I could sit up high and kind of look down and kind of just relax and stuff like that. They had the laundry room and the chaplain center or church there. They also had the gym facility and everything that I would need to survive and all of that. It was kind of out of the way. It's in a nice, secluded, and quiet area. I was like, "Wow." For the price that they were asking for, I thought it was a little bit expensive. Although they said it would have provided meals and things of that nature, I still thought it was a little expensive. The staff was very respectful, courteous, and very informative with all of the information that they were able to give. We were able to use some information that I didn't even know anything about, so with that they're very helpful.

We went to The Social at Savannah. They showed me the rooms, the eating area, and stuff like that. It was pretty nice. My father didn't want to share a room with anyone and they showed me a single room or what have you, but he wanted to go back to Mississippi. The room was very nice and very clean. Everything was laid out nicely. I enjoyed it. It's just the fact that he didn't want to be there. The staff was very nice and friendly.

My aunt will be moving into The Social at Savannah. We chose it because of the cost, and she is familiar with some of the residents that are already there. Nothing really stood out significantly about the facility. The room had an adequate size to meet the needs of a senior. They would do some updating of the rooms as new residents move in. The staff has been very helpful, attentive, and personable in providing information and following up. They have been very good. They would provide transportation and activities. They had an exercise room and a small library.

When we toured The Social at Savannah, a lot of the residents were getting ready to go on a shopping trip. So, the lobby was full of people, but everyone we met was super, super friendly. It was a very nice place. The lady that took us around was very informative, very sociable, and very outgoing. It just lacked a lot of outdoor space. There were no balconies or patios. There was a huge public patio on the ground floor with swings and stuff like that for the people to use, but not individual balconies. There was one trail that went around a pond, but that was about the extent of it. They had a bar where they did a happy hour. They serve three meals a day and you could choose which two you wanted to go to, or just one, because they had full kitchens. They were small kitchens, but they had a dishwasher, a refrigerator, and stuff. The rooms were very nice. It was more like in a neighborhood location and it was very close to the hospital, which was nice.

I toured The Social at Savannah. It was a wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted by staff that were very personable. The tour guide was magnificent. She wanted to know what my needs were and what my expectations were. They shared family experiences. I got a very good understanding of who would be helping me or assisting me. I loved the premises. The premises were clean. I had a wonderful experience with the staff. The facility didn't have a chemical smell that the others I visited had. The smell that I got from the other facilities was the biggest turnoff for me. It didn't have that chemical ammonia kind of trying to hide that diaper smell. It was just clean and normal and the clean smell of the facility was the best thing for me. I can't say enough good things about the staff or the facility. It's a beautiful facility and most of it is renovated now. The maintenance was perfect. Everything was clean. All the carpeted areas were great. The insides of the apartments were clean, the bathroom areas and the kitchen areas. Everything was excellent. I looked at the menus, but I didn't try the food.

We moved in at The Social at Savannah over a month ago. We chose it because of the staff, the air, and all the relaxation it gives to people. There are no lockdowns, and the doors are open all the time. So, our families can come in and out all the time. You can have pets in your room, they just can't come to meals. We have games, a hairstylist, physical therapy, and occupational therapy on-site. There's just a variety of things to do here. Overall, I've never been in a place as efficient and friendly, and a joy to have around the people here. The food is quite good. It has its bad days but everybody does. Our apartment is pretty ideal. It's a typical single bedroom with one bathroom. Transportation is provided for shopping and doctor's appointments.

I've chosen The Social at Savannah for myself. There are a few things I liked about it. I liked the location of it. They have transportation there for me to take me to my doctor's appointments, to take me shopping, and they can take me to therapy. It's a nice, secure facility. My experience with the staff is very good. The room isn't perfect, but it will do. The kitchen is small, and the inches going to the bathroom are kind of small and tight to get through. So far, it's the best I've seen. They have different activities going on there. When I went there yesterday, they had aerobics and bingo going on. They have a gym, a library, and a laundry room where you can wash your clothes, and they have a barber and a hairdresser, and a nail salon. They have benches where you can sit outside and talk to people. They've got a nice lounge area.

The Social at Savannah was nice and friendly. They were excellent. The lady showed me around and told me what to expect and what not to expect. She told me right up front how much money we needed and then we calculated my friend's income. She was very nice, friendly, and full of information. The apartment she showed me was laid out for a person with a wheelchair. There's a place where you could go and mingle with the other residents, play cards, watch TV, sew, dance, or get your hair done. They also had patios and a nice manicured garden. The dining area was very nice, too. I highly recommend anybody to go there if they can afford the $4000 a month.

The tour I had at The Social at Savannah was very positive. I first encountered the residents there and they were dressed very well and in very good spirits. They were not sitting around looking bored or disengaged. The staff moved around and greeted the residents (the residents also greeted the staff), and I could feel it was very much a community, like a family-type setting. Everything was tidy and organized, too. Each unit had a kitchen facility. They had a prepared lunch which people could receive if they chose to, either in their room or if they happened to be out on the patio or in a sort of indoor area. I saw some people playing a board game and there was a little library where there were some people reading. So, it was very laid back.

The Social at Savannah was good. The tour guide was flexible and patient. She tried to be thorough in meeting what she anticipated would be our needs. She frequently asked, "Are there any questions?" The grounds looked good. When we turned to go in, we were impressed, and then when we got inside, we were impressed as well. I didn't see too many people doing too much of anything though. We saw signs on the wall like a calendar, announcing when particular activities would be, but that's about all that we saw. The apartments were comfortable. We looked at three units and we were going back and forth with the tour guide and she kept narrowing down what she was going to show us based on what we were saying. She got us to a two-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen within our price range.

I went to visit The Social at Savannah the other day. It was great. I liked everything about it. It was clean. The staff answered every question that I had for her. She took me around and showed me different areas. She told me of different things that my mom would be allowed to do and the special event that they have there for their residents. Overall, it was quite nice. I was quite amazed by that, especially by the cleanliness of it. It was immaculate, and it was very clean, and that's what I like. They have game nights and trivia nights. They have a game room for the people who are going to play Scrabble. They have a TV room, a seating area, and an outside area where tenants can go outside and sit on the swing enjoying the nice air. They have people that come in, and they have concerts. The dining room was immaculate. It's a nice dining room. They can get to choose the food that they want from the menu. They have a choice. I like the fact that they said they will take them to the doctor's appointments. They can take them where they need to go, and I like that. Everything is inside the building; you don't have to go outside to go get your mail. Everything is in there. The staff was very good and very thorough.

I went to look at The Social at Savannah. They have bigger apartments than in the place my mother is in now. They seemed to have more caring staff on hand. The facility itself looked clean and had no funny smells. It seemed like they took a great deal of interest in what my concerns were. The tour was about an hour. We sat and talked for a while, and then we visited the rooms and the dining area. It seemed very well kept. The staff all seemed friendly and looked like they were glad to be there. I only interacted with four people, but they were all very friendly and welcoming. I did not see an activities calendar, but I did see in one of the common rooms that had game boards set up like checkers. There's a library or reading area. They had a nice dining facility. It was close to lunchtime, so people were coming in to get seated and ready for lunch. They have a little common courtyard with a gazebo, where you could sit outside. Each of the apartments had a sliding glass door where you could go out on a small patio that's enclosed with a fence. Overall, I had a very good impression of the place.

My husband has moved into The Social at Savannah. What struck me was that other assisted living places have levels of care, so they have a standard rate, and then based on the level of care that the resident needs they add a certain amount per level. What I like about The Social is that all residents get the same level of care, meaning they get what level of care they need. For example, at the previous facility, when my husband needed continence management, they added $500 a month to his monthly rate. When I asked them here that same question, they said that's part of their care. Whatever he needs, they'll take care of it, their system will, which was very great. I was very happy about that because he has changing needs. So, I'm glad to know that they will be able to meet, up to a point, his changing needs. The community is good. I think for my husband, he would like more men there. There are more men on the independent living side. So, he's having a little harder time connecting with people. He's just used to having lively conversations at lunch, and most of the people here, most of the women are very quiet and don't say anything at lunch. They're chatty other times, so, I think it's just a transition for him. But the community is very caring, and they're very patient. There's a southern hospitality that is ever-present in here. It's so much more civilized than communities in Boston, much more civilized, so it feels to me. They gave me a virtual tour while I was in Boston, and we decided on a particular studio apartment again. When I arrived, that studio apartment was not available anymore. So, they gave me a one-bedroom for the same price as a studio. I was very pleased that they did that. They were generous and accommodating. They haven't even given me my first bill yet, I put a five hundred dollar hold on the place for 30 days back in October, and they said, "Oh, don't worry about it. We're going to work that out." I think we're just starting to get to know each other better.

I like the location of The Social at Savannah. It's very near my sister. The residents seemed to be relaxed there, and they seemed to be doing a lot of things together. They were playing cards. The area was nice. There were trees and stuff around there. There were sidewalks and a nice place to walk. I didn't try the food or anything, but the kitchen and dining area looked nice. There were people in the game room playing cards and things like that. So obviously, they're social. The people there were very helpful in explaining everything. I think it's affordable for me, too. That's what was very important. The place is immaculate. All of the amenities and the rooms are very nice. The staff was knowledgeable and knew everything about what was in the rooms and how things worked. I have an issue because I have cats. But she was very amenable about that. She said no problem. People have pets here. So that was a welcome thing to hear because I don't want to leave without my pets. The kitchen was small. Of course, I'm accustomed to a home, so it's smaller, but it's very efficiently arranged. I don't think I would have any problem making the transition.

The Social at Savannah really is not in a good area of Savannah. The facility itself is easily accessible. We did take a good tour, but I think they would be low on my list simply because of the location and the walking distance for everything is pretty bad. There were some larger apartments that looked very nice, but they were undergoing quite a few renovations. They were taking the carpeting out and replacing them with laminated floors, which is a step in the right direction because the carpets looked pretty old. They showed us amenities like meeting rooms, physical therapy area, and dining room. They looked good. The staff was very friendly and very good at what they do. I only saw the kind of food that they provide. It looked like they were focused on the people in terms of what they provide, and they're very flexible meals so that looked good.

The biggest plus here is the friendliness! Both staff and residents are welcoming to new residents. I cried for six months before this move, knowing I needed the safety of community, but hating to give up my home. It only took me a few weeks to feel right at home here. I wish I had made the move sooner! I have made new friends and enjoy a variety of activities. Every staff member is extremely helpful with all questions and concerns. I highly recommend this community to all.

We visited here, which looked like a hotel. It was really great. They had a two-bedroom apartment, but it was too small. They had great planned activities and a nice dining room where they served food three times a day, but you have the option to have two meals a day. Everybody was really nice.

I like it. The people are friendly, it’s warm. and clean. It doesn’t have an old people smell to it, and the people that I interacted with- the residents and the people who were in charge- were friendly, and helpful. I just feel that it might be a good fit for my brother.

My mom is here and so far she is doing well in that place. It’s been a month since she's there. She has dementia and the staff works well with her. She is adjusting very well. We are satisfied and really impressed with their efforts to ensure the safety and the comfort of their residents.

The staff was very accommodating and seemed very well informed. The rooms were nice and very clean, but they were not as nice as the others. I don't really have any complaints about them except that I didn't really like the facility. It's multi-storied and there's not a lot of space outside for residents get some sunshine. It's in a very small piece of land with very little exterior space. We did try the food. It was not exceptional, but it was certainly more than passable. I guess I like the general layout of each floors. They had large open areas to easy accommodate wheelchairs without any problem. I didn't see quite as much evidence of activities there. But they did have a movie room. One of the common areas on each floor was use for crafts and wheelchair exercises. They didn't have a lot of dedicated space for individual things, but they had a lot of common space that they use for scheduled activities.

My mother has been living in here since May. She has an apartment with a very small kitchen, a large bathroom, and a medium size living room and bedroom. I liked that the apartment faced the courtyard, and she liked to watch the birds and the flowers blooming. The staff is very friendly. They have trips, they take them to different places for lunch or to different events and shopping. They play bingo and have daily exercises. People also come in to entertain them. The dining room is very pleasant, but mother complains about the food.

I visited this facility and noticed that it was nestled in a beautiful picturesque setting in one of the most beautiful cities in the U.S. When I walked into the facility I noticed how beautiful the interior was and the staff was quite friendly and helpful. I arrived at lunch time and noticed how delicious the meal looked and smelled. I noticed the residents were all enjoying their meal. As I toured the facility I noticed a large library and also a computer room. There was ample seating for residents and visitors. They offer studio, one and two bedroom suites and each suite had ample room with a private bath. Also there are guest quarters for family members that come to visit from out of town. There is a large recreation area and lots of arts and crafts offered along with many other activites for the residents. There are also outside walkways for the residents to stroll about and enjoy the fresh air.
