We’ve moved into River's Edge. It is very nice. The people are nice. The rooms are nice, but they’re smaller and older. They keep them clean. The food is good, too. When the chef is not here, the food is not great. Some days are better than others.

I toured River's Edge by Barclay House. I chose this place because of number one, the location, number two, the cost factor, and number three, the extra things they offer, and the physical therapy. If you have a prescription for physical therapy, they come in and they help you. I found the residents there to be very pleasant. It's three floors and I got to meet the person who handles that floor as far as housekeeping. They put coffee out, and they put out a lot of things for them to do, but I just found one to be very pleasant, and very willing to answer questions. It seemed like they cared, and I talked to people who lived on all three floors, and they had nothing but positive things to say, especially about the food. They're redoing all the rooms, new carpet, appliances, and all that sort of thing. The staff was wonderful.

I will be moving in here. I found my apartment and I ate lunch there, which was very nice. The people were very friendly, but I wasn't there very long. It sounds like the activities will be fun and that they have quite a bit. They provide three meals per day. I didn't get to meet very many staff members, except the girl who shows you the rooms and gets you signed up and then the girls in the dining room who were very nice.

I liked that it had three meals a day and a large selection for each meal. It wasn't just one entree. You had three entrees to choose from for lunch and dinner. We had lunch there and the food and the service were excellent. The apartment had a small kitchenette where you could have a microwave, a coffee pot, or a toaster oven if you want to make your own breakfast in there rather than going downstairs There were exercise rooms, a library, a big TV room, and nice grounds. It had patios on the first floor and then balconies on the second and third. It was a very homey-looking place. The staff person that gave us the tour was excellent and very welcoming. She sat us at a table with the gentleman that had been there a couple of years and his daughter who stopped by for lunch. We also liked that we could have our dog.

Very welcoming residents and staff. We felt "at home" with the rockers and ponds. Apartment was a good size. Worried a little small for two people. We had a great lunch.

My mother is gonna go here. It was fantastic. The staff was awesome. The layout was awesome. They got it all. The particular apartment that my mom's going in seems small though. She's in the main building. Her apartment just seems like a dorm room, and there is no kitchen in her room. There's like a wet bar with a seat and a small refrigerator. The outdoors is great. There are lots of paths she can walk on, and there are lots of things that she can do, and I'm happy about that. I just don't think she's going to be happy with the kitchen. It's all-inclusive and she gets three meals a day. Everything was very clean. I just don't like her room personally.

I liked the type of apartments that River's Edge had. It was very comfortable and bigger than what we saw before. I liked that it had a bathtub and that it was very clean. The lady who did the tour was very nice and knew what she was doing. Their dining area was big. The residents said "hi" and were very friendly. I liked that they made us feel good. They also do painting and other activities.

River's Edge was the first one I went to. The apartments were old. You could make it better. But, great staff. They have a mini-fridge in their apartments. They were almost the same setup as the other places. They did have a balcony. That was a little bit extra. The staff member was pleasant, like a little southern belle.

River's Edge is going to be where I'm going to go. The place is very upscale. It has a nice entryway and dining facility. The staff is awesome. The lady that I dealt with was very knowledgeable of my needs. I toured the whole facility, and it has all the amenities that I am looking for. They have staff there if you need extra services. The leasing manager there was so good and awesome. She deserves a five star. They have a place where you can do physical therapy. They have haircare on-site. They have washers and dryers. They have a place where you can go to church services. They have a very nice dining facility with upscale menus, and the ground is superb.

Everything I saw and experienced about River's Edge, I liked. Miss Miller was very helpful and followed up with me. We were interested in a studio apartment because that's all my brother really needs, but they had other slots available outside. I was pleased with the dining room, and they had different activities. I was pleased that they had something continuously going on that they can do, and not just sit around not doing anything. I like the fact that they had transportation for different places he would want to go. It's a place where I feel my brother would be comfortable living. I felt very comfortable with everything I saw in the community.

My visit with River's Edge was OK. The staff apologized in the beginning because they didn't have a room that they could show us. They only had one that somebody had recently vacated and it had to be repainted. The place was secluded and quiet. It's for independent living so you have to hire help. However, the traffic was awful.

The pictures on this site don't do it justice. It's a beautiful place with very nice people. From the time we went in until the time we left, everyone we came across seemed happy and so friendly. It's a place I would like my dad to live if I can talk him into it.

The staff at River's Edge were very nice. They invited us to lunch and we had a wonderful meal. They showed us the whole facility. I would definitely recommend this facility. The whole facility is excellent. The rooms are very nice, friendly, sunny, and clean. It was very clean. I fell in love with this place right away.

I moved my mother to a facility called River’s Edge. It is going very well. She has been there since January 11. It’s wonderful. We’re really happy with it. She is in an apartment, which is clean. It is also nice. It has a nice view. Moreover, it is three times bigger than the place where she was before. We’re really happy with it. They also have very good food.

They are living in River's Edge, and they really like it. It's a beautiful place, and they are doing really well. They are living in a studio apartment, and it suits their needs. I have eaten with them, and the food is good.

We did go to River's Edge. It was a good experience, but it was more of an independent-living place. They had cottages, and we did not want my father to be in that situation. Even though the doctor told him he couldn't drive, we felt like he was going to go out by car after we left. The staff was very nice, and they were very persistent. He liked it; however, he couldn't live in a cottage. We would have to hire somebody from the outside to come in and administer his medication, and that was going to cost more. It's a very nice facility, and they had activities going on also. We toured the room, and everything was very nice.

River's Edge was a nice property, but I wasn't crazy about the location, and it was quite large. My mother is coming from an independent living that is smaller, so I just thought that she would acclimate better to a smaller facility as opposed to a larger one. The person who gave me the tour was excellent. He was so professional, answered all of my questions, and followed-up with me several times. I can't say enough about the person who was there. I just didn't think the fit was right for my mother because of the size.

At River's Edge, they only have four cottages, but they're quite nice. They did have a ton of apartments in the big building. The food was very nice, and it was served very nicely. They have a gym-type room where they have facilities to do activities, e.g., weight machine and things of that sort. Overall, I'm impressed with their cottages, I like them very much.

The staff is very good. The rooms are very nice, well-laid out, and clean. My dad has an efficiency, which is about 368 sq. ft., but it is enough for what he needs. The food is good. They have all kinds of activities -- bus trips, e-bowling, Bingo, and billiards.

My mother is now in River’s Edge. It is a nice place. They provide meals. It is a safe environment, and it seems very clean. They also seem to have a lot of activities like bridge and card games. I think they have some exercise classes as well. My brother has eaten there, and he said the food is good. The dining room has a restaurant feel to it which is nice. The rooms and apartments are clean, in good shape, and safe.

I have my parents in River's Edge and it went well. I like it that it is independent living. It is very close to the hospital and doctor's office. I also liked the size of it. They have different sizes of rooms and we have exactly what we wanted. I have dinner there a couple times with my parents and the food is good. The staff is amazing, very caring and they check on my parents. They make them feel very at home. I can call them anytime and they will run down and checkon them. If I have a question, they go and answer them. From the kitchen help to the house cleaners, I don't have anything to complain about and my dad feels the same way. They have activities. They exercise daily and a lot of things to stimulate their bodies and minds.
