Hampton Manor of Cape Coral is a great little place. It's brand new and my mom really likes it there. They're very good at what they do. The staff is friendly and caring. The food is excellent. She loves it. She has three meals a day, and she said they're very good. All the residents seem to finish their plates, too. They have a movie room, bingo, Bible study, trivia night, and a lot of stuff to keep the members active. They have three or four things going on throughout the day. Every apartment has a refrigerator and a microwave. They have a courtyard that has a little putting green and a pool. It's a little bit pricey, but it's within our budget, and for what you get, it's well worth the price.

My wife is currently at Hampton Manor of Cape Coral for respite care. They're doing a good job with her, as she requires pretty much constant care. The memory unit is locked down, but she can't really walk, and they bathe her every day, so she's being very well taken care of. I just can't afford $6,200 a month to keep her there. The rooms in respite care are furnished, but if you're a resident, then you have to come up with your own furniture. They have a lot of stuff going on. They have an activities director and they do bingo, car shows, and things like that. I ate there with her and I chose the meatloaf, which I thought was safe, but it came out really kind of gamey. So, I wasn't thrilled with my first impression of the food. They have a courtyard, but there's no place to sit out there. The staff is fine and just like everybody else, they're stretched a little thin. The place is brand new, by the way.

Hampton Manor of Cape Coral was a new facility. It's modern, very nice looking, and located on a main road. The rooms were nice, but were a little smaller. The person who toured me was very nice, very accommodating, and answered all my questions. They had a nice dining area, a pool, a courtyard, and apartments around that area. You pay a little more if you are actually in the courtyard. What I like about the place was they have codependence, which each person could get if they wanted to for $25 a month. If you needed help, you could press a pendant with you. All the other facilities only had a pull cord in the room. I thought the pendant was a plus.
