I moved my Mother into The Brookdale Cape Coral last November. After a bit of a rough start [We were told that this is Very Common], Mom began to quickly adjust and instantly began to meet her new set of friends. The Staff was most accommodating in every aspect of Mom's transition. After a couple weeks, she had settled in so nicely. With ALL her needs being met 24/7, I was finally able to relax...!! I knew the moment that I walked in to The Brookdale Cape Coral that "This IS the Place for Mom" The Executive Director and the Staff were So Warm and friendly. They were so sensitive to our concerns and apprehensions. They totally understood right where we were emotionally. This was a Huge Decision we were making. And after our lengthy tour and wonderful consultation with the Executive Director, we put down a deposit and moved forward. Since the day Mom moved in, she has been thriving!! I visit almost every day and she always has a smile and a story about another happy experience she's had that day. She Absolutely LOVES the staff!! She does not remember most of their names so, "Pumpkin" seems to do for every one of them!! As her Son, I tell you I am the Happiest guy knowing that Mom is being cared for better than I could have hoped for!! She plays Bingo a couple times each week. She attends just about every activity that Angela can come up with. I visited 2 days ago and ended up in the Lounge area playing UNO with Mom and a bunch of ladies that also live there. What a Hoot!! I have gotten to know many of Mom's fellow residents and I have enjoyed every moment. I'm always looking forward to my next visit...!! On Mother's Day, I was able to join Mom for Brunch. Such a delight to see her enjoying life once again. Before she moved to The Brookdale Cape Coral, she was isolated to her condo. Living alone. It seemed as though she just existed in wait for my visit each day. She had a life with very little quality. Now?? She enjoys an enriched life in a Beautiful Social Environment... Mom is So Very Happy!! We are So Very Happy!!

Brookdale Cape Coral was very nice and very clean. The staff was very nice. We had lunch there. We took a tour and that's when we realized that my husband was not up for assisted living, that it had to be memory care. They had a variety of rooms there. They had studios, one-bedrooms, and shared. The food was a little bland for me.

Brookdale Cape Coral was very nice. It was a very small community. It was very well maintained. The people were very friendly and were very upfront with everything. The least I liked was the location. It was a little bit too far away for me. The rooms were nice and simple with a good view. They had everything that would be needed for assisted living. It just wasn't in the correct location.

Brookdale Cape Coral was a nice facility. The staff was very nice. It was clean and it seems somewhat updated. They had a courtyard and a salon. It was just pricey.

Brookdale Cape Coral was a little dated, but it was nice. It was a smaller facility. The residents looked like they were having a nice time while playing bingo. The staff looked very friendly and helpful. They didn't offer quite as many activities as the other facility I visited, but there were people playing bingo and they took them out for little tours. They have a garden outside. It was a nice facility, it was just a little more low-key. This does not have that smell and it was kept very well. The bedroom that I saw was small, but it was enough. It was located close to restaurants and a hospital.

My mom has moved into Brookdale Cape Coral. It's very pretty. It's a little smaller than some of the other ones. It seems more like a home with the decor, and it's all one level, which was better for her. She had been on the third floor at another place. The people are amazing. I visit her maybe four times a week, and the people that work are amazingly kind and very competent. I can't say enough good things about the people there. It's very nerve-wracking putting a parent in a place like that without knowing a lot more about it. But every time I visit, I feel more comfortable with it. She's much more active now than she was before she moved in there. She is enjoying being there and that makes me feel better. I have been there for one meal, but it's hard to judge because I don't eat the same things. But my mom seems to enjoy it. If I could it a 10, I would. It's amazing what we're getting and what we're paying. It was very homey, so lovely, and well decorated. It wasn't like an institution. It was very much more like a house.

The Brookdale Cape Coral wasn't as nice as the other facility I've visited. It's older but the people were fine. The room was a little older and wasn't as nice. They have dining, cleaning, and that's about it. I don't think the recreation activities were as good. The location is fine. The facility is nice, but nothing special. Their dining is more of like a restaurant type.

We toured Brookdale Cape Coral. It was a very nice place and the people were very friendly. The rooms were a little small considering this is for both my aunt and uncle, and that was one reason we did not choose them. I remembered that they were warm and friendly to us, it was around lunchtime, there was not a lot going on, and we saw the facilities where they would be doing things, but they were not doing anything at that time. The staff was very nice, very informative, told us about their services, and everything. There was an atrium outside. If you leave an area and go the wrong way, you just keep going, and you end up right back where you need to be.

Brookdale Cape Coral gave me some cookies and they were very good. It was a fairly new building. It's very small with small kitchen and a small cafeteria, but it had a homey atmosphere. They had a fireplace in there. It had some colonial trim and columns. The prices were a little higher than the others, but they were not too bad. The facilities were nice. The rooms were OK, and they had a little kitchenette. I would recommend them.

My friend moved into Brookdale. It was clean, friendly, they greet everybody, and there were not so many people. They have singers that come in, some entertainment that comes in, games they play, and books to read. They have a doctor that comes in and sees my friend. However, they're short-staffed and they need to hire more people.

Brookdale was very nice, and the staff was pleasant. The rooms were clean, and we saw one that was not occupied. The grounds were neatly kept. The people that brought us around were very accommodating. I think that they should go and judge from what they see from my own perception.

Brookdale was very clean and nice. The individuals there looked clean and healthy. The place didn’t smell. Unfortunately, it was out of our price range. They had assisted care, where they would help her gett dressed, prepare her meals, and give up to ten medications. After that, you have to pay extra. The staff was very helpful, gave us some good information, and followed us up.

My favorite place was Brookdale Cape Coral. The rooms were very nice, and I enjoyed speaking with Meg. She has kept in close contact with me and offered me assistance in any way that she can, even though I'm not ready to place my loved one in a care facility yet. We've been in contact every month, and she's been very informative and would even allow me to call and talk. They had singing and gatherings in their common area with music, and some people were being served snacks or something. I visited the Alzheimer's facility, and the staff there was so kind and gentle with the residents. I was very impressed with how the staff interacted with the residents.

I visited Sterling House for my mother. It was really nice. It was referred by Caring.com. It was really nice, and it was smaller. I really like this facility a lot. The staff showed us all around. They showed us different rooms. We visited the rooms, the dining, and the laundry, and they have a little sitting area outside. They have a room that has a bird cage with all different kinds of really pretty birds. It was nice. Sterling House seemed to be in a very nice area. I didn't taste the food, but it looked really good. It looked like a really nice well-balanced meal. I really like this place.

My friend is at Sterling House. It is very nice. Everybody is very friendly. The rooms are very nice. My friend has a very adequate room. As for the food, he always says the food is nice, and he likes it. The staff is very nice. They have a big TV where they show movies and a computer room. They also have church. He doesn't partake in any of their activities because he is 97 years old and he doesn't do a whole lot.

Sterling House had a funny smell to it. That place had a weird odor. The facility was an older building. It was a one-story, and the ceilings were low. It just looked closed-in. I just didn't like it. The whole facility was small. We saw one room and it had a low ceiling, and it just had kind of a closed-in feeling. Regarding the staff, the residents were having lunch when we were there, and they had a lot of staff assisting the residents in the dining hall. The one we talked to was very nice. She wasn't the person we needed to speak with about the finances. We didn't schedule anything; we just stopped in. She was very friendly, and as much as her knowledge allowed, shared all the information with us that she had.

My mom liked Sterling House, and it was very nice. Everything was very positive. Everything that my mom would have needed, this facility could have provided. It was probably the nicest one we visited. However, it was something she couldn't afford.

Everything was clean at Sterling House, and the people seemed to be very caring. There were activities posted on the big board. I think there was Bingo.

The one reason I liked Sterling House the best was that my father-in-law has a dog, and he said they could accommodate him bringing his dog. They even have a little courtyard that has grass, and it is in the middle of the facility, so the dog could roam around there and he couldn't get out, he couldn't get lost. It is a perfect environment. The rooms are very, very homey, and the staff is all very friendly. Everything is nice and clean. There are no odors. The people are great.

We love Sterling House. We almost put my mom there. It wasn't really big like some of these other places. I think it was like 65 or 70 residents, and it was just very home-like. The dinner, the dining area, you never were that far away from anything. All the rooms were like one big circular area. It was very, very clean. The rooms were nice. They had several different choices to choose from. They just had a sitting area, a bedroom, a small kitchen and a bathroom but it was adequate for what my mother would need.

Mom is at Sterling House of Cape Coral. The doctor that visits there and their physical therapy are very good. The staff and the CNAs were wonderful. The nurses are top shelf, but I don't care for the executive director who is a detriment. If it isn't for the staff, my mother would be leaving.

I like Sterling House's environment. The facility is very clean with well-maintained grounds. Had they been more appropriate to my needs and I had seen more, I would have been interested with them.

My friend's mother was a resident at Sterling House for several years until her death a few months ago. I had the opportunity to visit her several times there, sometimes accompanying my friend and sometimes on my own. Both my friend and her mother always spoke very highly of this facility. Every time I visited there I found the facility to be very clean and nicely decorated and maintained. In addition, I always found the staff to be helpful if I had any questions. As the needs of my friend's mother increased, the staff was sensitive to her feelings about this and their sensitivity eased her transition as she required more assistance. One of the nice features of this facility is that it is basically located in a residential neighborhood yet also close to an area of the city where a large number of employees work (the City Hall, the Post Office and the County Building.) Because both my friend and I work in that area, it was convenient for us to drop by and visit the facility either during our lunch hour or immediately after work. This convenient location made it easier to visit frequently. I have already recommended the Sterling House to my cousin who is trying to select a location for his father.
