In the southwestern corner of the state in Cincinnati, assisted living costs an average of $4,750 per month. Mansfield has the lowest assisted living rate in the state at a median cost of $3,570, which is $1,305 per month more affordable than Medina County. The average cost in Lima is almost $300 lower in comparison, at $4,594. On the state’s eastern border, seniors in the Youngstown area pay even less at an average of $4,038 per month.
