Hudson Elms is amazing. Dorina really out do herself. My moms transition from Assisted living to SKill. I can admit, I was very nervous about her care. Mom did not want o go anywhere, She wanted to stay here, her home. The staff on both sides are amazing. Mom received all her medication and the rehab is great. Mom was even able to have double portions, Mom loves to eat. Travis made the transition very inviting.

Everything about Hudson Elms was great. I just didn't see much staff and I was expecting to see more people. I don't know if that's their usual, but it seemed like the residents were still well taken care of. The rooms that I saw were average size, but people just had a lot of stuff in them, so they looked smaller, but they seemed OK. We went into the dining area. I think the one at the other facility is a little nicer, but I like that you can see the outside areas from there. There's lots of good lighting, so that's nice. It feels like you're almost eating outside. They had a really good recreation person. They had a group come in and sing. I guess it was a choir or a group of ministers coming and singing to the residents and they gave them gifts and things like toiletries and things like that. So, that was really nice.

This is beyond words terrible. NOT ADA Accessible! Double doors for wheelchair bound people with no automatic openers and the only single door was SCREWED SHUT FROM THE OUTSIDE!! This is a hazardous firetrap that no one should be living in. I requested a towel for a patient on Friday from the administrator Carrie on Friday and on Monday when he was still unable to bathe I called her back. Her answer? “I didn’t say what DAY I would take it to him”!!!!!!!!! I am reporting this facility to every state and local agency I can and working to remove my friend.

My grandpa lived here for five years, and it was wonderful for the first four. Unfortunately, the new management from Hillstone adopted a slew of cost cutting measures at the great expense of the residents' well-being. First to go was the vibrant activities program as aggressive staff cuts made it unsustainable. Next to go were the standards for admitted residents and facility cleanliness. Finally, attention to the medical and social needs of the residents fell drastically. I hope that Otto Warmbier is receiving better care in North Korea than the residents here are getting. I wouldn't send my grandpa back to this place if he had beat me as a child. PLEASE do not send your loved ones (or even not so loved ones) here. Apologies to the few remaining good staff members who are doing their best.

When my great-grandmother broke both her hips, we knew it meant she'd be moving to a facility that could take care of her around-the-clock. While Hudson Elms seems to have the room-to-room appearance of most unwanted nursing homes, where the patients are divided by a hanging sheet and directed at the same television all day, I have to say everyone in my family was surprised by the intimate care she received. The facilities aren't brand new and there's still the difficult side of saying goodbye and not wanting to leave your loved one behind, but it's evident the staff there is nurturing and know exactly how to care for patients who have sustained debilitating injuries. She eventually moved out from Hudson Elms to a facility offering single rooms, but the few months she spent there were very satisfactory. She often told us how she liked Hot Dog Thursdays.
