I toured the assisted living of The Gardens at Cuyahoga for my mom and it was very nice. What I liked most was the scenery. It had a nice porch, and the place was kind of off the road, so it was quiet too. It's all in one level and it's like a big ranch. The rooms were spacious. They were very clean and I didn't see any maintenance problems or anything like that. I also saw the dining area and it was very nice. The staff who gave me the tour was good.

My mother was at the Gardens at Cuyahoga Falls. She was in assisted living and that was OK, but once they put her in memory care there was no staff, and the food was horrible. Cleanliness was horrible, and that's why we moved her. I had to interact with the staff all the time to try to find somebody to get something cleaned, or for my mother to get changed because she's incontinent. The room was dirty, too. For activities they had coloring, but it was with coloring books and not adult type things. And the other thing I saw was them folding laundry, that's a helpful thing, but my mother didn't want to participate in anything there.

I'm not happy with our experience with The Gardens at Cuyahoga. Three times I tried to get the lady to call me back in regards to getting a walkthrough, but I could never get through, nobody there would help me. They said, "You gotta talk to this lady. We'll give her your message" three times. I wanted to move my grandfather there because one of my best friends lives there, but she's never called me back. It's been three weeks. My friend said that the food is bland, and she couldn't have any salt. She's almost blind, and when I was there the whole floor was just full of food. I thought it was unacceptable, and in my head it was strike after strike. I saw them doing activities, and sometimes my friend is included. She can't do all the games, but she's listening and talking, and she loved it, so the activities seemed great.

The rooms are really nice, bright and roomy but due have a tendency to smell due to lack of attention to detail and proper personal hygienic care of the residents living there. Major Lack of communication, And a tendency to ignore or follow proper diet restrictions/instructions per specific individuals dietary needs. Coloring and Puzzles that's about it. As far I could tell in the year my elderly loved one spent there in the memory care unit. NONE!!

The Garddens truly feels like home! I was very pleased with the care provided by the staff. They were always helpful and did it with a smile. My grandmother was extremly active in the activities there and for that I am greatful. I would reccomend them to anyone looking for a place to put a loved one.

Went to visit my aunt and was appalled. She has lost so much weight and I can see why. Since when do you serve an adult food on a dessert plate? To make it look like they are getting allot of food? 2 pieces zucchini, maybe 2 tablespoons of rigatoni with barely any sauce, tablespoon of mashed potatoes and only had orange juice to drink?? And no dessert cause forgot to order it? No snacks? 2nd time-drumstick, few potato wedges and scoop of veggies? No dessert or snacks again. Post a menu and then don't get half the stuff on it. Need to follow Nursing home standards: 3701-17-14. No follow through with staff at all. These elderly are people! Would you want to be treated this way?

I occasionally took my husband up to Garden of Western Reserve for a couple of hours if I had some errands to run. The place was very nice, and very homey. Part of it was adult daycare, but it was a resident’s facility. Our experience there was fine. The place was very nice, and very homey. He had lunch there if he was there during lunch. There were activities going on, but I was not sure if he was interested in joining any of them. The staff was very good, and caring.

The Gardens have single rooms but are a little bit smaller. You have to provide the furniture but the rooms include limited kitchen facilities like a sink, microwave and counter. I don't know about the services though but they were very friendly.

The staff was attentive and best of all, there was a wonderful recreational activity staff. The food was only average but the service was excellent during meals. The focus seemed to be that they were busy helping the residents live instead of just waiting to die. I know that sounds harsh, but very true as compared to several other facilities I've visited.

This place treats the alzheimers patients like animals. They get limited attention. Alarms go off unnoticed, doctors take forever to show up, nurses ignore patients and blame staff. The only good reviews go to the workers with whom management place the terrible treatment of patients on. The state needs to take a look at this place. These workers are kind loving people and this place treats them as bad as they do the patients.
