My sister-in-law was in the assisted living part of Spring Brook. They did a wonderful job of taking care of her. They would assist her with her laundry. She was supposed to do her own laundry, and she'd walk down the hall to the laundry room. If they saw her she was having trouble, they would assist her with it. They had a little library there, which was nice. She liked the common dining room where they had the meals served, and she liked the friends she met there. She wasn't much of a mixer, so she spent an awful lot of her time in her room. She had a bedroom, a living room kitchen combination, and her refrigerator and stove. She never used the stove, just the refrigerator. They had a nice elevator. The staff was good. They take her down to the common area and they had the music down there. She wasn't much of a game player like cards, games, or anything like that, but she liked jigsaw puzzles. She thought the food was good. The facility needed updating, but they had a swimming pool and she liked that. I thought they were expensive, but she didn't have much choice.

We visited Spring Brook Assisted Living. It is very nice. I would say the best I've seen out of all of them, facility-wise, was Spring Brook Assisted Living. It was new, well laid out and fresh, clean, and kind of fancier, too. The rooms were top-notch and fancy, but well-laid out. I wouldn't mind living there myself. It was great. I thought that the activities were similar to the rest of them. They had movie nights, and several options for church throughout the week, and they brought in entertainment and things like that for the residents. It was equal to all the rest of them that I visited. I looked at a two-week cycle menu and it looked like it would be good.

I've been in Spring Brook Assisted Living since the 19th of May. We've been kept in our rooms 90% of the time in the last year. We have had not much visitors from our family and that's one of the reasons why I'm leaving. My room is lovely. It's an apartment with a large living room, a kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The staff is just fine, but not the same ones all the time. They help me get out of bed, wrap my feet and put my socks on, and deliver my meal. When they bring the food and if I cannot eat it, then I fix something that I can or they bring me something special. The facility is excellent, too. We had a swimming pool, but after the disease has started, we don't have anything. The people who have mental problems have activities, but the rest of us, myself, we don't have anything. The living atmosphere was wonderful and a lot of the people were very friendly. We had a lovely dining hall where we could meet each other and have a good time. We had a swimming pool and cards of different kinds, but that was when we checked in. The people that decide what's going to happen are very poor, but the staff that waits on us is excellent. It's expensive here.

I took my mom to Spring Brook for a visit about a year ago. It was a very nice facility. We liked that my mom would be on the 1st floor, so she didn't have to take elevators or stairs. We looked at a 1-bedroom apartment, which was very nice. They had a little pool, an exercise room, a nice dining room, a beauty salon, a little church area, and a theater. The amenities were very nice, but at that time, we were not ready. We met with the intake person, and she was very and very kind.

Spring Brook Assisted Living is a facility for loss of memory also. We're down close to the humane society of Alaska, so we see a lot of wildlife down here too, and we have a pond. We have activities, we have music once a month, but now we don't have anything because of the virus. I have a two-bedroom apartment, it's got two bedrooms, kitchen, living room, and bath. They also have one-bedrooms. Their lost memory section has three floors. The staff is wonderful. We have a really good gal that's really good. I do a lot of the cooking myself, their food is OK, but it's not like home cooking. We had a lot of nice activities and music when we can, though we can't right now.

Spring Brook Assisted Living is wonderful, but it's too big, with over a hundred residents. It was an excellent tour. The staff is excellent, the rooms were more of an apartment, with a stove, a refrigerator. The staff was excellent.

The staff that we have encountered or talked to at Spring Brook Assisted Living were all so very pleasant. They kept saying, "This is your home. We're not here to say that you're a resident. This is your apartment, but we're here to assist you in any way we can when you need it." It's very clean and well kept. The location is very convenient for what they were looking for because it's right next door to Gundersen Clinic and they have a lot of their appointments there. It's five minutes from the Valley View Mall area, so it's close to many things. It's a one-bedroom, open concept apartment, and it has a kitchenette and a living room with peaceful views. It looks out onto to a marsh area, so you don't see any cars or anything. They do allow pets, and they're right next door to the humane society. A lot of the residents will walk down to the humane society and will take the dogs for walks. My loved one is allergic to a lot of food, so they've been super accommodating to make him what he can eat. I have not seen anything wrong with the place. There's a swimming pool, and they constantly have so many activities posted in the elevator and on the bulletin boards everywhere. They have a lot of people that come in and sing. They have an aerobics instructor and they call people just to remind them when it is. They really try to get them involved, but they don't force it. I just wish there was a little bit more parking.

Springbrook Assisted Living is a large facility with three floors, which would cause problems for a person who has problems walking, even with a walker, because the dining room is in the central location on a lower floor. It's a very nice facility, but mobility is a problem. The rooms were very nice and spacious.

I found a lovely place for my mother in Spring Brook. Everything is wonderful. I loved the place and felt she would be safe and comfortable. Her room is just the right size and overlooks a courtyard. The staff is just absolutely wonderful. My mother loves them.

At Spring Brook, they have beautiful new apartments. The staff seemed like they're happy to be there. They didn't seem to be overworked. It was the nicest assisted living I have ever seen.

My father is at Springbrook Assisted Living. When we toured the facility, it was clean and the feedback that we got from the residents was very good. So we chose it for him. The place is also very close to all of his kids. The staff are absolutely wonderful. They are very communicative. The rooms are spacious and clean. They had it all painted and cleaned the carpet. It’s perfect. They have lots of activities and they have many people and that is good for my dad because he is a very social person.

My mom is going to be at Springbrook Assisted living. We chose this facility because it's close to me and her sister already lives there. The facility is only five years old and it's a very nice place. When we talked to the director just the other day, she said it could be the middle of this month or could be the end of the month wherein my mom could move in. They have bingo and they play cards. They also have entertainment and they also bring pets in for the residents. They do bus trips to Wal-Mart once a month. They have a theatre there for the residents to watch movies. They also have an exercise room and a swimming pool. My aunt is at the third floor and she has great view. She has lots of room with a big living room, bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchenette. It's just very, very nice. The staff are really nice too.

It's a very nice facility. It has all kinds of things for seniors to use like a swimming pool, exercise room and we have 3 meals a day here. I got a one bedroom apartment and i like it because it's spacious and clean. I like the fact that the people here are all very friendly and helpful. I have been in the food business for years and the food here is surprisingly good. I haven't been here that long but I can say that I'm happy being here so far. Everybody here seems to be happy. We have a lot of opportunities to be with the other residents and mingle. They have all kinds of activities. There are a lot of people who like to play cards. We have movies and religious activities and many others. It's a friendly atmosphere here, I can say.
