I've been a resident at Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge since the Grasslands independent living apartments were completed in July 2019. My wife and I couldn't be happier. We have a spacious apartment, beautiful views out our windows, a sizeable screened-in balcony, and upscale food that has grown to a 5-star restaurant and Bistro. The Prairie Rose Restaurant makes everything in-house. They have a full-time pastry chef. With appetizers like a Charcuterie Plate and Bruschetta, you can only imagine the taste of high-quality steaks, pork, chicken, fresh salmon, and more. There is a special every day. If you enjoy wine with lunch and dinner, they have an excellent selection. Our lunch and dinner desserts are all made in-house. Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge has so many activities every day that tenants get a 16-page monthly calendar with all event dates. You can join clubs, such as the Handyman's Club, which has a workroom with tools. But, best of all are the fantastic, friendly, caring employees, and so many tenants are our friends. Sometimes, being at Oakwood feels like getting a big hug.

My mother-in-law is in Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge. There's no problem there. The staff is really good; she really likes them. She doesn't have any complaints about the food. She's in a studio, and it's nice and clean. She has a bed, two chairs, a couple of tables, and dressers. The only complaint we had was the TVs. You couldn't even see. The people are elderly and I felt they could put a little bit bigger and newer TVs in. These are old TVs and not a good quality, so we had to buy one and put one it in there. The facility is decent and nice. They have a fireplace in the common area, a library, and they have things for people to do. She has not participated in any of the activities though, so we don't know what all they offer. They have limited activities. We were only in there once. They don't let you go in and out freely because of COVID. We were just there when we moved her, and they interacted with us fine. They were kind, caring, and explained things. They don't return phone calls very fast, sometimes it's days, sometimes you have to call them back. It's too expensive.

My mother is in Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge. She was there prior to the rehab center, so we knew the place. What stood out was the ratio of help to patient, so I know shes going to get the care she needs. They have a number of social workers and different people who come in ro either play music or read. Theyre playing games like bingo and crossword puzzles. They have a nice variety of food.

Oakwood Village was clean. They had a coffee shop, and the food was fine. They are set up for independent living and also have a skilled care rehabilitation unit.

I ate at Oakwood Village; the food was very good. I think the continuing care was fair but I found them a little in need of repair. I would seriously consider them because I have a kid that lives close.
