At The Waterford, my mother has received wonderful care. Her apartment is roomy, pleasant and sunny, making for a very pleasant environment. The staff are gems, always helpful and thoughtful about how they give services to Mom. She likes to see them come when they drop food or prescriptions at her apartment. They are always willing to assist her with what is needed, have gotten to know her well, and look out for her at all times. She enjoys living here, and participating in activities. I would not want her to be in any other place!

The Waterford at Fitchburg had beautiful apartments. I think they were built to be condos at the beginning and I thought the ones I was shown were very pretty and very nice. They had nice grounds and nice trees. I liked a lot of things about it. I had lunch there and it was pretty mediocre. I don't think I could eat that way all the time. It was OK, but it wasn't wonderful. Everybody on the staff seemed perfect. Everybody has been helpful and nice. They've spent time with me. I have no complaints. From what I saw, the cleanliness of the facility was fine, but the hallways were old. They had old pictures in it like my grandmother used to have in her house. I was astounded. Maybe that's the decor they're using and I'm just not into it. The whole place looked like it was going through renovation, except for the apartments, which were finished and which I had seen. The apartments were wonderful. They had fireplaces in them. They were newly painted and newly carpeted. They had nice windows. The woman that gave the tour was very, very nice. She was the one who set up lunch for me with people who lived there. It was very nice. We had shepherd's pie.

The Waterford at Fitchburg was very welcoming. It's a newer place. I liked the location of it better. I also liked the rooms better. They had kitchens in them, which is what I'm looking for.

We toured The Waterford at Fitchburg, and it was fine. They were also having a class in the dining room. I think it was current events. The rooms were very adequate. Inside the room was a small kitchen, a bathroom, a bedroom, and a living room area. We got a treat at the end. It was a dessert, and it was very good.

The Waterford at Fitchburg was a nice place. It was clean. The rooms were large. The amenities were very nice and everything I'm looking for. It was bright. One thing I liked about it was it is five minutes from my house. It still seemed a little restricted because of COVID, but every place is like that. They do have an option to cook their own meals. One thing that's unique from what I've seen around here is that if they need assisted living, they stay in the same apartment. They don't have to move to a different unit to get the special services; that was very appealing to me. They get the full assisted living services right there. It's one of the best places I went to.

The overall attitude is very corporate and uncaring; my relatives receive little support while paying out a LOT of money. The theme is "You're on your own; we're not really interested." Some of the staff are caring and helpful, but the powers are more concerned about the bottom line. The food is TERRIBLE, and outrageously priced, especially if you need it delivered to your apartment. I'm hoping to help them move.

The Waterford at Fitchburg was way too expensive. They provide the meals and the meals I saw were very poorly made and were of poor quality. I went to the independent part, but it's all in one building. If you're walking through, some apartments were assisted living, some were independent living. All meals were included and I didn't like their options because that was on top of what you pay for your apartment. At one time, the apartments were condos, so when they switched them over, you have to pay for all your electricity, heat, etc., so it really brought the price way up. The place was OK, it did not wow me, but it was very clean. They are limited on budget, too. They do the best they can, and that's understandable. The building was 20 some years old, but that didn't bother me so much. When I asked the staff about the age group, it's 55+ for people living there. I said, "How many people are in their 70s?" and she said very few. I was looking more for an active group because I'm not 70 yet. The one who welcomed me was a little pushy, but very pleasant and knowledgeable. She sent home some bakery stuff in a little gift box, and it was average. I didn't have a meal, but what I saw of them serving was like cafeteria food. It felt more like an institution. They had a beauty parlor. They're really geared towards the assisted living more. If you're independent and you move into the assisted living, you could stay in your same apartment, you didn't have to change apartments.

The staff is every caring and responsive. My father is very happy & well at the Waterford. He loves his apartment which is spacious, bright, open and, of course, very nicely appointed for seniors. He would request a greater variety of meals, but enjoys them all the same. Staff has been very committed and responsive to the pandemic and has kept the population well & safe.

When we learned my mom could no longer live independently, I visited several facilities and The Waterford at Fitchburg was by far superior. The rooms are very spacious. My mom has a 2 bedroom with a den. There is plenty of room for her to navigate the space with her scooter. The staff are amazing and always friendly. I never see or hear staff members putting the facility down, as I saw at her former facility. As of October 16, the facility has remained Covid free which is due to the incredible leadership of the organization. They have worked hard to keep families informed of the changing rules and coming up with creative solutions for visits that meet the guidelines. Staff has handled a couple of medical emergencies expediently and professionally, always keeping me informed. Mom's most recent experience at rehab was not good, but the bright spot was Waterford staff. They worked with me to get her home as soon as possible. She is happy to be back where people know her and truly care about her. I sleep better at night knowing she is in good hands at The Waterford. Taking care of your loved one is their number one priority.

After touring seven places, we chose the Waterford based on the beautiful apartments and well-kept building and interior, but the excellence goes on. Everyone there is like family and although Mom is in independent living she enjoys various activities--movies, social hour, a variety of entertainment brought in (all done safely!) and interacting with staff and other residents. The Waterford makes like easy and safe, Mom is able to get her hair done there, and has dining options that include interaction with other residents. During this time of COVID we are so grateful for the extra mile the staff and management is providing. Mom is in the safest place she can be right now which is of utmost importance these days.

When my 92 year old mother-in-law fell 3 years ago, we needed to move her closer to us with assisted living services. We chose the Waterford and haven't regretted it one bit. The apartments are large and bright with the necessary accommodations for elderly clients. Laundry is in the apartment and done each week for her when the apartment is cleaned. The med cart and staff are fabulous. They have managed several medical emergencies wonderfully with safety of the resident in mind. She gets all 3 meals (which we think are tasty) each day and can choose from an alternate menu if she doesn't like the meal option. Services like hair salon and PT are available on site. We are comforted to know that as she declines, we can add more assistive services. Currently dressing, bathing, and help with using the bathroom are provided daily along with management of her medications. Communications with staff are frequent and helpful. We are especially happy that they have been able to remain Covid free to date (October 2020) which is a minor miracle. The Waterford feels like home to my mother-in-law and we expect her to enjoy her time left in the comforts of a home atmosphere.

We came from out of town to make a quick decision to move relative from rehab to assisted living. Sarah made visit happen & arrange for move-in very quickly. Apartment was prepared & things fell into place. Apartment is very spacious & includes many amenities for comfort including fireplace, washer/dryer, porch, & grab bars in bathroom. Relative is very happy & says the meals are delicious & nice variety. Movies in “theater”, hair salon, & activities offered. Convenient to have PT/OT available onsite. Nice patio area. Staff has been very accommodating & wonderful. Response to relative’s needs met with understanding & compassion. All this is being done with health & safety in mind due to COVID-19.

The Waterford was built as a condominium complex. The apartments are sunny and bright with sliding patio doors to a porch or balcony, nice kitchens, large bathrooms and a gas fireplace. New low pile carpet goes down for residents. The building offers underground parking. There is a hair salon on site with friendly faces ready to assist. The Waterford Staff is cheerful, always ready to assist. Mother often remarks that people are kind to her. She loves the food and since she was quite a cook in her day, this makes us happy. Kitchen staff assists with late meals or special requests. Maintenance has been available on the spot when we needed their assistance. When the day comes that Mom needs assisted care, she can stay right in the same unit. A space she loves. There are activities for those who want to join in. Bus service will take residents to appointments on certain days of the week. Hallways are dark, as there no outside windows and Lighting is low.

They have several room sizes to choose from. My parents are in a 2 bedroom with a den for their computer. they are 89 and 91. My mom especially enjoys walking around the facility with her rollator and grabbing a couple pieces of fresh fruit that is always available. the balcony gives her a chance to care for plants that we give to her, and a beautiful view of the Koi pond. They started out on the meal plan, but now feel comfortable cooking in the apartment.

I love The Waterford at Fitchburg. It was a good tour. The staff was very good. It was a nice place to be in and to move into. The room was very nice. It was like a condo. The staff member was very good. She gave me a lot of information and we had a good time. They had a big band there and there was music that was going on. It was very nice. The people were playing some type of game in another room, and people were getting their hair done by the hairdresser. The place was very good and very nice.

We really liked The Waterford at Fitchburg a lot. The apartments were wonderful, large, had a full kitchen, and a full dining room. It was a beautiful community, but when we run out of money, they will not take Medicaid. So we would have to move. The food was wonderful. The staff was very nice and because I'm lactose intolerant he came out to talk to us. The residents like it there as well.

I liked The Waterford at Fitchburg a lot and it was very nice and clean. The apartments were nice and I liked the koi pond outside. They had a touch of nature right in the city. I would recommend it. The staff member who showed me around was absolutely wonderful and I liked her a lot. She had a lot of information, spent a lot of time with me, and made me feel very comfortable.

The rooms at The Waterford at Fitchburg seemed big enough. Every time a room opens, they re-do it and get it in better shape. However, when I asked the staff why they had fireplaces in all of them, she said it's because it gets cold in Wisconsin in the winter. I didn't like that they heat the apartments with fireplaces. They were doing a lot of repair on the community. When I ate there, the food was average.

We are on the waiting list of the Waterford at Fitchburg. It is a retirement home, much like any other. I really only met the sales staff, and they were fine. The rooms had full kitchens, and the carpet is low pile, which is better than some. There are lots of shopping opportunities close by, and the grounds are maintained. The thing we liked about it is that to get assisted living, you do not have to move out of your apartment. The assisted and independent living is combined, and you do not have to take meals; you can do your own cooking.

The Waterford was wonderful, and the people were very gracious. It started as a condominium and they converted it into assisted and independent living, so the apartments were rather large, very spacious, and well appointed. The dining area seemed to be adequate. They had a lot of programs and activities for them on a scheduled and had a shuttle to take people around to Walgreens and different areas in town. I think they have their act together and do a really good job.

The Waterford at Fitchburg was absolutely lovely, beautiful, and perfect. I liked the beautiful unit I was shown. It had a fireplace and a balcony, and it was clean. I believe it had a library. I had a nice salad while I was there.

I went to The Waterford at Fitchburg. When I went there, the place was empty and everybody was gone so I did not meet any of the staff. She said they had an outing or something. There was a variety of rooms and they had options. Every room had a fire place and a balcony that looked out the garden areal. There was a heated swimming pool. It was very luxurious. My interest in it was that I would like to be able to attend things at the University of Wisconsin and I thought there was a bus line and it was not that far from the university. That was my major attraction to it.

I liked the setting at The Waterford at Fitchburg. They had a number of activities, recreations, and exercises. The apartment was very nice and laid out very well. My furniture would fit in there very well. The facility has a pleasant surrounding and a bistro, which was very nice. The atmosphere seemed very pleasant.

We chose Waterford because of the location; it’s centrally located for all of our family. They also allow pets. The staff was very polite. Everything was well kept, clean, and secure. They have activities. My mother is in there a little over a month and is just starting to get involved in the activities. The food was very good. She has a 2-bedroom condo, and the rooms are a nice size.

The Waterford is about two blocks from where we live now. It was very nice but very expensive. They have people come in to your apartment and give care and they charge extra, so you spend about 5000 a month. I would consider it fairly new. I think it’s been there at least five years, maybe more, so everything looks neat and clean. They have a heated swimming pool. It’s just way out of our price range, though. We had looked at it when it was another company, and the prices were quite a bit lower, but now (with the new corporation) they’ve had this 5000 a month, plus pay extra for things they do and have to charge it by the hour. The staff was very friendly. They had very good food. I don’t like to cook anymore, so that’s important to me. The dining room was very bright and very spacious.
