I'm staying in Watermere at the Preserve. They have a dollar limit each month for the food you can get from the dining room if you choose. Most of the time I cooked my own. I don't like the items they have. They have meals from Monday through Saturday and it's a different meal each day. They also have an a la carte that you can order but most of the food they prepare, I just don't eat. I don't care for it. I'm not saying it's not good. It's just that there are only certain things I like to eat. The facility is nice and clean. The apartment is also nice depending on where you are located in the building. I'm in the south, which I love because my apartment is bright. I would never want to be on the north side and do not care for the east side. It's the south and the west that are the brighter sides. I don't pay much attention to the activities because the ones they have are mostly for older people. I am old but I'm not as old as the majority of the people here. From what I hear, I'm one of the younger ones. They paint rocks and small pumpkins, do some drawings, and make beds out of plastic bags for homeless people. They have bingo periodically, too. These are just not something I'm into. The staff assist and listen to you. I'd have to say this new guy who took over the place is better than the one who left. From what I hear, he listens and tries to see what he can do about your concerns. I just don't see how they can charge one price for one apartment and then a lower price for the same size apartment. I don't think that's right.

We moved into Watermere at the Preserve. It is an excellent facility. We chose it because of their large units, the location, and the price. Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly. The food is good, but not outstanding. There are a lot of activities, but we aren't big activity people. They have a beautiful gym and in-house physical therapy. They have people coming in all the time for hearing tests and all kinds of services they provide in-house.
