Sanctuary Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center was very good. It's a fairly new facility and it's very comfortable. It turned out to be a very nice place. It was very clean. My uncle appreciated the staff. They were good enough for him, and he was satisfied with the food. They had an outdoor area where patients can go like a gazebo. They had accommodating grounds.

This morning I visited my mother, who is a resident of Sanctuary Pointe. My mother needed to use the restroom and so she signaled for assistance. A young woman who identified herself as Prosper assisted my mother. Prosper was very pleasant, very professional, and very thorough. She was courteous and kind and did quite well in assisting my mother with her needs. I could tell that my mother was also pleased with Prosper's assistance. I am impressed by your facility, your services, and your staff. My thanks to you and especially to Prosper.

If you ever have a family member that needs rehabilitation, please do not send them to this place! My grandfather had surgery earlier this year and due to the surgery, he needed some help rehabilitating back to his old ways. He had problems standing up on his own, walking, and even hand eye coordination. The hospital offered for him to get care at a rehabilitation center, which was supposed to be a place where he could get the help he needed, as well as them helping him out with things that he could not do himself. They told him not to try to get up on his own, to press the nurse button and they would come to help him get up to use the bathroom and such things. The response time after pressing that button was insane, and not in a good way. Anybody that would have to use the bathroom when they pressed that button, would end up going on themselves by the time the nurse would come help. On top of the terrible response time, they have maybe one employee that works nights and/or weekends. That is totally unacceptable. One nurse is supposed to be available to assist all of these people by themselves? Impossible. You bring up why there is no help at night time, and they just say “oh well nobody wants to works nights or weekends. We just don’t have the help.” How can you operate a facility where no one is available at night time or on the weekends? So all of the people there are supposed to lay in their own feces all night or all weekend until the morning crew comes in??? That’s disgusting. They caused my grandfather to develop bed sores on his rear because they would leave him in a wheelchair or in the bed all day, in his own feces. Then we get to the point with COVID-19 and no one can have any visitors... They really don’t care about the patients then. No family members can come in and see how their relatives are being taken care of. They apparently got tired of taking care of him, so they sent him home. But now he is in the hospital, fighting off the infection caused from the neglectful care of this place. He has only been home a short amount of time, and he’s already back in the hospital, fighting. All because this place would not give him the care that they said they would while he was there. This place does have one or two good nurses, but they can’t run the entire place themselves. Shame on this company. I doubt that they would let any of their loved ones get “care” here.

The first two weeks that I was here, I was shell-shocked to say the least...I wasn't the nicest and I yelled the loudest. All I really wanted was to go home and not be in this pain, everyone here has gone out of their way to try to make me happy. My god they even got me an apple pie! I SO did not deserve that! All they've tried to do is to get me the help that I needed and I see this now and I'm so sorry for being so hateful. They have a top notch rehabilitation department a day as a whole I would recommend Sanctuary Point to anyone needing skilled nursing facilities care. Respectfully, Lauren K Johnson
