My aunt has moved into Ohio Living Llanfair. I was there before she moved in. They have two independent living senior apartment complexes. The apartment is a nice one-bedroom-one-bath. She has a walk-in closet in her apartment complex. It also has a storage bin down the hall. It has a patio, which is what puts them ahead of the other places. It's a nice-sized patio. The staff were friendly and nice. They have bingo and card playing. They have a salon that does your nails and hair. They take them to the bank and grocery stores and other things. They told us that they hook up with another senior facility not far from them, and they do a lot of outdoor activities together. The one thing that I liked about them, when she was signing the contract, they told us that they would assign a mentor for her. So when she moved in, it was one of the residents that live there that walked with her the first week and showed her the facility. She didn't walk down to meals by herself and she didn't walk anything by herself. They actually knocked on the door, talked with her, walked her to places, and went to things together so that she wasn't like the new kid on the block that didn't know anything and nobody. So that was the nice part that they did.

Ohio Living Llanfair is in a neighborhood that we're familiar with. It's recently updated. The marketing director who we met with was very generous with her time in our information and has followed up since our visit. It is a well-established retirement community with a good reputation. The grounds were beautiful. They had a courtyard and an onsite chapel. WiFi and cable were included in the pricing.

We went to Ohio Living Llanfair. I like the fact that it's kind of an all-encompassing type of community. It's a large campus with a whole lot of things there. So I think if my mom were to move there, she could live there for the rest of her life. They seem to have a very good staff and the apartments were nice. They provide two meals a day and one meal a day on the weekends. I guess the main thing is the continuity of the care of the person, and talking with other residents, there is a woman who is 101 who lived there for 25 years. The people we talked to were happy and they had been there for some time and that registered well with me. I think that the pricing was very reasonable. Residents were coming up to our tour guide, and talking to him. They had had an event earlier in the week about antique cars, with music and ice cream, and they were saying how much they had enjoyed the event. So people seemed to be engaged in activities and were happy there. They have two television stations for the residents, so one will give the calendar of events for the day, and then the other station records events live. So like, if my mom didn't want to go to the church service, she could watch it on TV, or if they had a concert and she didn't want to go, but she would like to watch it, she can watch it in her quarter. So, I thought that was a nice thing. They have a church, they have a library, they have an arboretum, and the grounds are nice. Right now. It's my favorite of all the ones that we visited. They showed us the menu for their meals and explained to my mom how to order her food to go, then If my mom chose not to leave her room on a certain day, they would bring it to her for free, which, I felt, was very kind.

I liked that the rooms at Ohio Living Llanfair were very light, bright, and a good size. The staff we met was very good. They were just a lot more expensive and a little older and dated, but it was still very nice and very clean. They had very pretty grounds outside and plenty of activities such as bingo and happy hour. The dining area was also very nice.

Ohio Living Llanfair is clean and there are a lot of amenities. It's probably the best value for what you get and it's one of the nicest facilities I've visited. Their apartment is freshly painted with new carpet, and it's conveniently laid out for somebody who is a little bit mobility impaired. Everybody was very friendly and professional. There's an exercise room, all kinds of art classes, a library, group activities, and outings. As far as independent living goes, there's a lot of flexibility to make some minor add-ons for somebody who's not quite ready for assisted living, but needs a little bit of help now and again. So, it's independent living with a plus.

My mother has moved into Ohio Living Llanfair. It's clean, well kept, and it doesn't stink as my wife would say. The rooms got new carpet, and they painted it. The rooms are nice. The staff is very professional and very thorough. We like the people that we've dealt with. She's not complaining about the food, so I would say it's good. I know they're having a Christmas party today. They have happy hours on Fridays, bingo, a big TV room, and games.

Ohio Living Llanfair was extremely nice but not upscale. The people were very helpful and gave me every bit of information that I needed. It's a place that you have to apply to because if you have too much money, they won't take you. Its a very structured place that offered all the facilities that I felt were necessary for the long-term for my parents. They had a one-bedroom and studio, three meals a day and buffets for lunch; dinner and breakfast were ordered off of a menu. The apartments were nice but small. The cost including the assistance was a better value. It wasn't as nice and fancy of a place, but it had everything I felt my parents needed to live out their lives. They had people on staff 24 hours a day for any type of assistance that any of the residents need.

I was in the nursing facility for short term rehab post-joint replacement surgery. The facilities are modern and attractive, although rooms are very small. There is inadequate nursing staff to handle the case load. This is particularly severe evenings, nights, and weekends. Calls for assistance could take 45 minutes to answer at night. There were language barriers with night nurses. The only doctor was extremely brusque and rude.; he visited on day 3 for 5 minutes. The food was not healthful; it was greasy comfort food, Jello, and canned fruit. I could tolerate most of these things. What I could not tolerate was receiving wrong medications, not receiving the right medications, and resentment that I noticed. I feel sorry for the nurses because of the severe nurse understaffing and their heavy workload. My discharge planning was not conducted competently and I was given misinformation, including that it would take two days to process the paperwork to leave. The day nurse was not invited to my care conference (a brief meeting where everyone is supposed to get on the same page and answer my questions) because of staff infighting between social worker and nurse. I was not given the balance of my medications upon discharge and my departure was then delayed 2 hours while they got the undispensed prescribed meds together for me. I did receive excellent PT and OT. My poor review is because the inability to dispense the right medications and not dispense the wrong medications and keep to an semblance of the dispensing schedule. I was cognizant enough to notice; unfortunately many residents were not. The dispensing records are all hand written in paper logs; nothing is scanned or automated, and these procedures were very inefficient for the nurses.

My mom has moved to Llanfair Retirement Community, and it's going great. She seems to be happy. It's everything: it's retirement, assisted living. It has rehabilitation as well as nursing. There were people who live in their own independent apartment. They have occupational and physical therapy. They have a person come in and help the people in the lounge with exercises. They do brain games, a lot of trivia games. They have bingo. They have entertainment come in sometimes. They have a choice of whether you want to eat in your room or eat in their dining room. The caregivers are very upbeat, very positive, and very calm with how they deal with everybody. They're very kind; they're very nice. A big reason why we chose this community was because my mom would not have to transfer to another facility. You can just transfer into another apartment or a different area. We haven't had any problems with anything. That retirement community has been there for a very long time. They are keeping it up pretty well, and it's very clean. The apartments are really cute, and they have little café-type places on corners and different areas.
