Never had much of a complaint, only pain issues weren’t addressed quickly. But overall good food, great nurses, like Trish on midnight shift. Jackie at the front desk. Kudos to Orville in the kitchen. Therapist’s had their A-Game.Maybe move back when old age takes over.

Beautiful new facility, but housekeeping is lacking and resident’s laundry just piles up. The food is horrible and the food service is terrible. The staff is nice but NOT trained in dementia care. Personal items missing (literally everything of any value), and management unconcerned. Complaints and concerns were not addressed. NO activities all day long, residents expected to watch tv ALL DAY LONG. The turnover in management is constant, no communication with family members. This is very poorly run facility, and my family had a very disappointing experience with placing my father at Harmony Village which is suppose to “specialize” in dementia care.

my Mom passed out while she was there and I was never notified until I visited and inquired why she had an IV. Shortage of help at facility . The facility house physician NEVER returned any calls I left with his office. Look elsewhere !

Although this facility is beautiful, that is the only thing positive about it. The staff is unhelpful, unfriendly and uncaring. When I asked the receptionist where my relative’s room was, she pointed in the direction of rooms and said “right up there.” The nurse that was assigned to my relative was extremely rude. Lack of staff, 10 patients to one nurse! Totally understaffed. Horrible, Care One NOT!

Though beautiful and with some kind staff, Hanover is grossly understaffed. Some apathetic employees choose to “change diaper” rather than bring patient to toilet. My brother fell while there. He is conversant and no man should have to pee on himself. He went unshaven for days because “we have no razors” His nails never clipped. I never saw him out of bed and in a chair. Food care was very good. One aide, Jasmine, is excellent. Others are unfriendly or impatient. They need more skilled help. Room is large w sparkle on walls. A review is necessary here.

Upon first entry I was happy and impressed but as my mother stayed there, I realized issues. First off most of the staff is incredibly unfriendly. We had an issue with a nurse that left my mom dirty around a surgical site and she ended up getting a horrible infection. The nurse was arrogant about it, and unapologetic. When I went to the director via email she said we would have a meeting and when she saw me in person several times she ignored me and walked the other way. The rooms are filthy. No cleaning crews ever. The floors never get mopped. The food is awful. The give sandwiches with condiments like kethup. Are they dumb or do they just not care? They NEVER pick up the phone when you try and call. Its very frustrating. The pictures they have posted online are false. They are not of care one subacute, they are of the new harmony village next door they built.

My mom was placed there after having surgery on her foot & needed physical therapy to help her get around. After about two days in she started getting confused and have hallucinations. We told a nurse that this is not her & something is wrong. Was told they will contact the doctor to run test. Nothing happened until my sister demanded to talk to the doctor herself. Doctor told her he never got a message to see our mom. He requested tests that they ended up never sending to the lab which we found out a day or two if not getting answers. During this time she was getting worse. Finally the doctor subscribed antibiotics. The nurse ended up giving her the wrong antibiotics (not what the doctor subscribed) that she is allergic to. Also during this time she was given food with gluten in it when it was stated in her chart that she has celiac disease & will get violently sick if eats gluten. Thank god my sister & I were there at different meal times to catch it because in my mom’s confused state she didn’t know what she was eating. Also they put an IV in her arm because she was dehydrated (which was the cause of the confusion & hallucinations). She complained her arm hurt but none of the nurses did anything. When my dad went to visit her the next morning her arm was doubled in size. At this point we ask that they send her to the hospital to get proper care because she is not getting at this facility. Now she has an infection in her arm. Unfortunately she had to go back there but working on finding someplace else because they are making her worse instead of helping her get better. The physical therapist are great but it’s the nursing staff that is the problem. On top of all this she got Covid.

My friend was at CareOne at Hanover Township for therapy and rehab. I thought the staff was pretty good. They were attentive. They always seemed like they were doing something, like they were taking care of one patient or another. I didn't see them sitting around or reading the newspaper. They seemed very nice. My friend even said that he liked it there, that it was nice, and that they treated him well. So that was good enough for me. His room was clean. He is kind of picky, and he ate the meals there, so I think he was satisfied with the meals. They had a very nice visitor's room. They also had a balcony porch-type setup, and we would sit outside in the summer. My experience there was very pleasant.

Five star food and clean well run facility is one thing, but the real value of this place is the staff. Individually they are each are intelligent, conscious, competent, and sincerely caring. Stephanie is a great example of the above, but also an example of another intangible characteristic that the staff, which is experienced by both residents and guests. This is a lightness of spirit and inclusion. The staff has an comradery as if they all grew up together, and what's really cool is that they include the residents in their "family" I can't describe it better than a profound respect for, and affection towards those those they are caring for.

My dad spent close to two months at Care One after complications from a hospital procedure left him unable to walk and suffering from bouts of delirium. I visited him every day and got to see the inner workings of Care One for an extended period. The team of professionals at Care One is top notch. From the welcoming receptionists and administrators; the caring and skilled nurses and aides; a truly engaged physician (with a great bedside manner) who took an interest in my father’s case; physical, occupational, and speech therapists who helped my dad regain physical and cognitive abilities; and social workers that eased his transition home, my family and I could not be more pleased. When my dad arrived at Care One, he was classified as two-person maximum assist just to get out of bed and was suffering from periodic delirium. When he was discharged, he had progressed all the way to one-person supervision status when walking with a walker, the delirium has not returned, and he is not far from being able to walk independently with a walker. His goal — and we are all praying with him — is to get back to where he was before the procedure: independently walking without any supports. We highly recommend Care One at Hanover.

This was my husband's second stay at Care One in Whippany. I was very happy with your facility. Lili the admission director was so helpful and kind. I was not able to visit my husband so I needed to depend on your staff to keep me updated with medical questions as well as using FaceTime to see my husband. The staff was caring and patient with my phone calls and questions! Thank you Care One!

Have not been able to visit facility because of Covid-19. However, the response you get to find out how your loved one is terrible. I know everyone is busy but family does care and should be updated more. Very frustrated with this facility. People do care about their loved ones and time should be found to keep them informed since we cannot visit!! Makes me very angry that you are so cold to people that want information about someone they love.

My 84 year old mom came into CareOne having tested positive for Covid-19. The staff was super friendly, caring, encouraging, supportive and super knowledgeable! They always kept me in the loop and returned all my calls. My mom said the place was super clean, bright, and had offered a happy atmosphere! In particular, I must give shout-outs to Jessica and Kasia, two incredibly smart and supportive nurses, who took excellent care of my Mom everyday of her 3-4 week stay. These 2 nurses were not only super intelligent but would go above and beyond to answer my questions and do what was best for my mom. Stefanie, the social worker, offered constant reassurance to my mom and even helped her fix her phone. She too was great. And, Michael, who I believe was on the social committee. My mom absolutely loved him! He made her smile everyday! The whole staff was truly awesome! I totally recommend this facility giving it five stars for sure!! : - )

I spent 2 weeks at the Care One facility. I found the staff, nurses and PT/OT workers fantastic. Very caring and on top of taking care of my needs and keeping me comfortable. I’m now on my way to recovery. Thank you Care One.

We are actually trying to get my mom back to CareOne at Hanover Township but the hospital hasn't approved the insurance yet. I thought they did a great job. The food was pretty good. The rooms were clean and I liked that it was easy parking and easy in and out. It's a beautiful location too. I dealt with Stephanie who was great. Shes one of the head people there who organized the physical therapist, occupational therapist and the doctors so they can have a meeting and go through my mom's care. There was a girl there named Monica who was very helpful in getting my mother taken to my house for Thanksgiving and picked up because we never had her for the Holiday without Monica. Then Lance in the office facilitated her getting in and out but I was really happy with everybody. They were great to me and to mom. The only problem my mother had was that if she needs to go to the bathroom, she couldn't get somebody fast enough. But I mean you know she's 91 and they're busy, that's going to happen but other than that I thought she was treated well. I thought her rehab was definitely helpful and its a nice place. I really liked it there. My mom didn't really participate in any activities; she does not want to do anything. The only one I ever saw was there was a singer there and everyone sat around. I was really pleased with everything. I really had no complains.

My mother was at CareOne at Hanover Township for a while. I found CareOne because its located close to my home and theres a Careone at Morristown so I have heard the name before. I thought it was very good. They were very attentive. Everybody is very nice and very helpful; everyone seemed to be very friendly. They work very hard. It was also very clean and very organized. It's like an auditorium house that's been turned into a nursing home. All my concerns were met, all my needs were met. They dealt what they have to deal with. Its good value, they accept Medicare. They were very good. Mom got better there so I have to say she it was a good experience.

The staff at CareOne was great. The property was great and well maintained. The care and rehabilitation was wonderful. I can't say anything bad about it. They have bingo and other activities, but my mother-in-law didn't participate in any of it. She had a private room. It's clean, and comfortable. She was there for about 50 days.

I was very pleased with the personal attention of Lance, who greeted me, answered my questions, came to the room, made sure that it was comfortable and that the furniture that my mother needed was available. The food director also came in to speak to her if she had any requests. The young lady at the front desk was perfect, always gracious, sweet and kind. My mother wanted a snack one night and they got it for us. They're really lovely people. The nurses were the terrific and all the aides were lovely and very nice. Some of them I watched were exceptionally kind and goes out of their way to help people. I recommend that they change the furniture in the front parlor. It's a little shabby looking, but everything was clean. They were very careful. The had people wore mask and were very careful with the flu patients. I know that not all Care One are the same and I've heard complaints about others. But I am happy with this facility. They were responsive to her needs and her requests. I was really impressed when I told someone my mother need her eye drops, they got them the next day.

Care One at Hanover Township seemed like an old house that was converted into a facility. It was quite depressing. It seemed overcrowded and understaffed too. There were activities going on, but I don't know what they were. There was an activity coordinator and an activity room.

My parents get round-the-clock care at CareOne at Hanover Township. It's very nice, and they take good care of them. The staff is very nice. They are sharing a room which is very large and nice. Everything's clean and well taken care of. I really like them being there. The grounds are very nice, and the place is right off the main road, but it's kind of secluded. It's a house that's been transformed into a nursing home, and it's just five minutes from my office. My parents seem to like the food, and they have lots of activities. The pricing is very good and comparable with everybody else.

My mother was there for five weeks. During that time period, either my brother or I made sure that we were with her every day. We were disgusted with the gross negligence of the staff. My mom's doctor changed her medication, and the nurses would not give it to her. When confronted about this, they lied and said that the doctor called and said to disregard the change. My mother would for help to get to the bathroom, and no one would show up until it was too late and she lost control of her bladder. She developed a bed sore, and the doctor tried to convince me it was because of something she ate.

My father was at Care One - Hanover Township in March of 2016. We opted for this location due to the proximity to our home which is 1 mile away. From day one, we found neglect, and poor attention to patients. Our family was with our father for most of his 20 days at this facility and we know we helped to improve his stay. But, when immediate attention was required after hours, due to emergency reasons, Care One failed to respond and correct this immediate concern. This serious situation led to EMS response, and a lengthy hospital stay. Our confrontation with the Care One at Hanover administrator led to staffing changes, but why ? Does Care One not manage and audit their facilities ? Why was the facility only at 50% capacity ? Why still today, February 2017, is the facility not at capacity ? These are Red Flags when evaluating a facility when you must make the hardest decision with a family member. Bottom line, Care One is a business and interested in profitability and has a representative at hospitals for sales purposes. We met with this individual and was promised much support to ensure a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the sales pitch had no merit. After the fact, we were surprised to hear of other families who experienced the same problems, and urging caution towards a commitment to Care One at Hanover.

This place was amazingly poor. You hear about elder care facilities typically being like this, but I witnessed this for myself and was amazed. My parent was here to recover from a respiratory condition. Sadly, over the month that he was there, he and others would ring the bell for help, and no one would come for at least 20 minutes. As he was there longer, the wait got longer. While visiting, you frequently heard the help bells going off for huge amounts of time - with no one in site to help them. The nursing staff would frequently leave the bathrooms of the patients filthy and smelly, and then would get upset if you brought it to their attention. Most were extremely unfriendly - acted like you didn't exist. There is one person that is an exception to this nightmare - his name is Mike. He is wonderful Helpful and always friendly - but one person can't do all things for all people there, but he really tries. Such a great guy. It is one of the more depressing places I've ever seen, and this is a private facility. I can't even imagine what a state run place is like. Maybe other Care One facilities are better, but I will never put a loved one into this facility again.

My mother-in-law had to come to this facility afree falling a fracturing her hip. This resulted in a two month stay at Care One in Whippany. I cannot say enough about the staff, Dierdre, Michael, Benedict and Shirley were so helpful. Not all facilities have this level, I have seen others that were pretty bad. This place is a gem, if you are local.

We didn’t care for Care One too much. They said they would do rehab and there was rehab, but then they stopped and he regressed. When he left the facility, he was a lot worse than when he originally went in. They have enough training, and they have staff, so maybe it wasn’t them; my father is not a great patient, and he was kind of stubborn. You couldn’t get any answers from the staff. You asked questions, and you couldn’t get any answers from them. They are paying a doctor to come in, and we see him maybe once a week. The physical structure was fine; I've see him once or twice doing activities in the room. They do have places to socialize and areas for families. They were compassionate and understanding about the case at one point, but not towards the end. The cleanliness was above par. They must answer questions when people have questions about the operation, about seeing the doctors, and patient-doctor relationships were very poor there.

They told me when my mother went in Care One that they accepted Medicare. After she was discharged, they had a bill for over $4000. They were saying that Medicare didn't pay for her room and board and they wanted me to pay it. They waited months and months and months before they sent this bill. I would not recommend them as a sub-acute facility. I would recommend that people be very careful with their financial obligation before they go in there. Other than their billing, we weren’t interviewed by the place before I agreed to bring her there. They started off being very nice to her. She shared a room with someone, and this person left, then they moved her into a room by herself. After she was in a room by herself, she was pretty much ignored. The staff in the physical therapy department was very nice. They were very kind and very nurturing. It's very clean. The activities director was amazing. Of all four places she had been in throughout the last year, the activities director there was the nicest of all of them. He got right down on the patient's level, and he connected with all of them. He got them out of their rooms. He got them involved even then they didn't want to be. I would personally recommend the activities director to go anywhere. He has high accolades.
