I took a tour, they were nice and courteous there. It was a little bit smaller than the other place I visited, but we like it. The staff cared, and they had the amenities that we needed or that we were looking for. It's accessible to all of my mom's doctor's appointments so that's nice. The staff we met there were informative, patient, nice, and sweet. Their dining area seems community-based and open. The surroundings felt warm, you go in and it doesn't feel like a nursing home. Everybody was friendly there, it didn't feel like the people there were forgotten about, and there was a lot of care. They have transportation to doctors' appointments, which is great. They also had activities that they coordinate for the residents. I remember seeing a few people playing cards in like a sitting room. They have stuff that they plan and then daily stuff that they can do, which is nice.

For anyone who needs to find QUALITY care for their loved one in the West Essex / northern NJ area, please - for the sake of your loved one AND you - just go straight to Green Hill. My father was neglected and almost died in another area facility. He was transferred to Green Hill and is doing so much better. They know how to deal with dementia patients - with dignity, respect and true medical care, even during this year of pandemic. The staff is considerate and friendly, the food is good, and their standards during the pandemic are at par with hospital level - and I know, because my husband works at a hospital. The facility looks like, and we learned, was a former hotel/respite site during the 1940s. The inside is spacious, and with social distancing, that's a GOOD thing. My father is limited in his activity level due to his dementia, but our visits have been SO encouraging. We almost lost my father, so believe me when I tell you, this facility was divine intervention.

It was my mom's first choice. It's a much older facility and a little larger scale than the others. The people and the staff were very friendly. They have satellite dining areas and a main dining room. I ate food in the main dining room once and it was pretty tasty. There was entertainment going on, and the people were having a lot of fun.

It is very nice. It is an older facility, but kept well. People were friendly, and informative. I know they have the independent, assisted-living, and memory care too. I looked at the independent, and assisted-living part. The memory care is in a different building. They have a little store that the residents run. They have all kinds of arts, and crafts. They have an area where there are birds, and rabbits for the residents to care for. This facility has a homey atmosphere.

I moved my mother to their assisted living. I am impressed with the care that they give and the amount of staff. It is a nice and pretty environment. They staff has a positive, friendly attitude. She has a single room that is a lot larger than any of the other places that I visited. They have a good of selection of quality food, and the dining room is attractive. They have religious services, holiday parties, bingo, exercise activities, current events, classes, meetings, and arts & crafts. They can improve on reminding people of the activities. They have a calendar, but people have a hard time following it. Aside from that, I think it is as good as it is going to be for her.

This community was alright. They both had independent living and an assisted living facilities. I didn't like the apartment, they need to improve on the layout of the rooms.

I was looking for facilities for my parents when I visited. They had professional staff. I didn't like their rooms because they were depressing. The apartments were older. Their rooms were spacious but just older and less appealing than the other facilities.
