We found a place for my mom, Alaris Health at West Orange. It came on a recommendation; a friend's mom has been there for about four years now. When she went in there she had to be quarantined for 14 days. They call me all the time, and I call them, so there's never a problem getting any updates. That's where we are right now. My mom has not been eating that much. She is also very fussy, but they're trying their best. Pretty soon I'll be able to bring her food there. The staff has been very extremely helpful. Extremely helpful. The facility itself is very pretty. I haven't been inside yet because of the quarantine, but outside there is a patio with tables. The building itself is pretty. It is a nice setting. Right now I would give them a high rating just because I haven't had any issues with them, and they have been extremely helpful with my mom. I'm very satisfied. I don't know much about the value for money because my mom is pending Medicaid. They took her pending Medicaid, which I thought was helpful. The value for the money is hard to rate just because I like that they took her pending Medicaid, whereas some places would not do that.

My brother was here years ago and now I came here for rehab. The care here is excellent and has not changed since a couple of years ago. The nurses are very caring and makes sure that I get my pills on time everyday. The aides are very nice and helpful, a few non-regulars I didn't care for, but overall, help was wonderful. The therapists are amazing; I am going home tomorrow and I am back to walking again and my entire family is extremely thankful to the staff of Alaris Health at West Orange. This place has a very warm and pleasant atmosphere and I highly recommend this place for anyone needing sub-acute stay.

I would not recommend this facility to no one! They are very abusive physically and emotionally. My Mom was there in August of 2012 and died November 2012. She entered the facility with a broke hip for rehabilitation. The doctors in the rehabilitation are showed no compassion or patience and gave up on her so quick. The CNA's were mean! Just a job for them. There are people that need a calling for this type of work and they were not. I walked in and the CNA was shoving food down her throat that I know she never at once with me growing up and she had no teeth to chew it. You drive in and they have a banner outside stating they are a FIVE star facility. POEPLE WAKE UP ANYONE CAN HAVE A SIGN MADE WITH ANYTHING THEY WANT IT TO SAY. I WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE IT ONE STAR. TERRIBLE PLACE...IF YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS DO NOT BRING THEM THERE

Do not send your loved one here. My relative received indifferent care and had to be re-hospitalized after getting 'treatment'. My relative nearly died.
