I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

If I could give it zero stars I would. The rooms are like jail cells and the people who work there do not really care about what goes on. The residents have no say in the food they get and it seems like everyone gets the same thing whether or not they can eat. I was bringing my father food every day. You can never get anyone to speak to in regards to their care. My father ended up going back to the hospital and the nurse said to me “when he returns,” but I made it perfectly clear to her that he is never coming back to this facility. No one could ever tell me what medications he was on or even bother to look it up for me. My father has since passed away and I will always live with the regrets that I put him in a place like this.

DO NOT let someone you know go here. The place is a dump. Meals arrive cold. Aides are lazy. Some nurses care, some are just there for a paycheck. Cant get answers from the facility, they don't respond to email or voicemails. They are like every other health"care" facility nowadays. They are just a corporation looking to make money. They don't "care".

My husband moved into Spring Hills Post Acute Wayne. I chose it because it's ten minutes from my house. I like nothing about the place. The parking lot is in shambles. The building is not kept up. The rooms are minimally furnished. On weekends there is nobody there, just a few people, and there's no rehab going on. I found my husband without pants on at 11:00 in the morning. I complained to the head nurse. She listened to me, and she wanted to make it better. They shaved my husband after one week because he couldn't do it himself at this point. My husband can't eat regular food right now, so he has mush on the plate. It looks so unappetizing that the dog wouldn't eat it. It's a horrible place. The basement is a rehab facility where they take my husband for some exercises. I went with him, and it was minimal. It's covered by Medicare. They need to hire more professional staff.

The staff are very neglectful.Theyre never around the nurse station. Their showering my God mother once a month and once every 2 weeks They don't want to come help her get out and back into bed or change her on time. They take away her food before she's done eating. Her roommate is very disrespectful.

The place should be closed down. Very rude staff. They hang up on you when you call, never return your call. Nurses are on their personal cell phones, acting like you are bothering them, when you ask about your loved one. Just a horrible experience and a very poor run place!!

This place is disgusting ever since taken over by Spring Hills. My mother is here and today as I was visiting her, she wanted to go lay down on her bed and take a nap. When taking her from the wheelchair she was soaked with urine. This is just the first thing today. Then when I went to ask for help to get her washed and changed the attendants had been going back and forth as to who should clean her up. Then when I went back to her room to get her in the bathroom the handle for the door was broken and sharp. What if her or her roommate would have tried to get into the bathroom, they could have cut their hand. Then one of the attendants did come to take mom to a restroom down the hall from her room. And brought her back cleaned up and in fresh clothing that I took out of her closet. The bedroom is dirty, the floor is disgustingly sticky. I’ve seen the man that cleans the floors sitting around wasting time. A few times I found him in my mothers room just sitting there texting on his phone or watching TV. NICE JOB. The bathroom is not useable cause you can’t open the door since the handle is broken. Her dresser and closet in her room is falling apart and on half the room is painted and has wallpaper on it. This place is a mess since the new Spring Hills takeover. If things don’t change they may not be getting another check from me till things are taken care of. Or maybe I will need to find a new place. I would never suggest this place for anyone or even a pet. BAD JOB NEW MANAGEMENT. Maybe someone needs to take a whole new coarse on how to take care of the elderly and those with disabilities. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN YOUR CHOICES. I have complained to the first person in management (social worker). Let’s see how soon things get taken care of. DISGUSTING PEOPLE, DISGUSTING !!!!! Very upset over this.

I had my family here and was very pleased . It was very clean , the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful . While there is no place like home I felt overall the staff went out of their way to make us all feel comfortable . The Rehab department is amazing . I would recommend to anyone looking for post acute care !

I visited this facility

A close friend is here. They neglect him. They won't even give him a blanket, they say he is incontinent but he isn't, he just needs help to the bathroom, they just let him soil himself. They leave him in a wheelchair with very little therapy. It's difficult to reach him by phone, or find someone who knows what's going on. This place is awful. We need universal healthcare...

They are understaffed. Medications are either distributed late, at all and/or in an incorrect dosage.

If you are not on top of the care for your loved one, it won't get done. Some staff members are doing their job and others DO NOT!! No matter who you speak to, it doesn't get done. My dad has his showers 2 times a week and this week no shower and it's Wednesday. If you do no tell them to take your loved one to the bathroom, they will sit on their wet diaper. It is extremely sad! I have seen staff members screaming at patients. It took 2 1/2 weeks for a doctor to evaluate my loved one. The rooms are ok. Interaction with staff is yes to everything and nothing gets done, depending on the staff you speak to. There is absolutly no activity...a lot of advertisement but you do not see or hear anything going on. The theater downstairs is full of storage. No amenities whatsoever. Thank god our elderly mother is able to spend the day with her loved one and be is advocate. IT IS SO SAD!!!

Don’t come here! My Mom was here for Rehab & cried daily. They deliver your food & leave the room. The tray is too high to see/ or eat the food on the tray. You can’t open the milk, ice tea, creamer, etc. Rather than help you to walk to the bathroom they hand you a bedpan & return 2 hours later! The place is very nice but the care is poor. Broken clock in the room/ broken TV.

My mother went in for 20 for rehabilitation recovering from a UTI recently. This is my mother’s third time around. She was here in 2013 and again 2015. And now in 2018 I. Can honestly say the service has declined. My mother is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s and needs assustance for everything. The same night my mother was admitted I saw less staff and less attention. A few times have incountered my mother dirty from just leaving the food tray in front of her and staff walking away. After calling to their attention the nurse took charge of making sure she was assisted. I can totally rule out one nurse there and her name was Jury. She was knowledgeable and attentive. She would answer all my questions. But as far as the aids only one was attentive but I can’t remember her name. But do recall her being there all 3 times my mother has been there for rehabilitation. She was from the islands and had a bad knee. She was very sweet. The therapists were very good. My experience was not good as in service. The aids are lazy and have attitudes as if they don’t want to do their jobs. A couple of them I would speak to them in passing in the hallway and would just ignore me. Other then the 2 ppl I have mentioned the entire time my mother was there I had to look for an aid and one was never around especially during the day. It was horrble. For example while giving my mother a shower (yes you heard right) I was in the shower room and 2 different aids came in and did not help me. The only thing they did was help me was transferring her. They came in and out of he shower and not once asked if or attempted to the do what they are supposed to do. They would rarely would check on her. I can go on and on but won’t. I will never put my mother there again and would never recommend anyone out there loved ones!

You can't do much worse in the area unless you go to their other facility in RT 23. Rude management. Rude therapists. They simply don't care. Rooms are doubles, dirty and disgusting. My wife was here and ended up with an infection from the roommate who left feces and urine everywhere in the bathroom and no one would clean up. My wife tried to clean things but she still got sick. Therapy is a joke and the manager is more interested in her iPad than answering questions. She acts like she can't be bothered. My wife ended up worse off for being at this place.

I would rather drive a further distance to see my husband receive better care. I cannot give a positive review. My experience was a lesson in patience and faith that things would turn out ok. We were here years ago. The care and therapy were great. During the most recent time though we took my husband out. Nursing was rarely available. Administration was rarely available for complaints. Therapy care has degraded and one would think that this facility was run by the therapists that obviously have a God-complex. I felt as though I wasn't allowed to ask questions. The therapy supervisors are rude and expect that what they say good without regard to anything we were told by the hospital. I couldn't, in good faith, leave my husband here. He was as miserable as the staff. We brought him to another place that I will not mention as I want my review to be just that and not a marketing tactic for where we went.

I can't recommend this place. Happy employees are important. No one here is happy. It can be seen in nursing, therapy, dietary and every department. Patients are unhappy and not cared for. Managers are always behind closed doors. I went to ask about my grandmother's therapy and the rehab manager was locked away in her office. When I went back an hour later she was gone for the day (at 3pm). I asked a female therapist and she acted as though I was asking something private. Also, this place's therapy is run by students who are not supervised. My grandmother's Occupational Therapist was a student, unsupervised. When I asked about this her mentor was in the basement, an entire 2 floors away. The facility is in disrepair and the staff is quite untowards in their fault interactions with patients and family. My grandmother fell here and called us before someone actually found her on the floor.

Patients sit in urine and feces. Staff is rude. Building is in disrepair. Adminstrator is non-existent. Therapy is run by students who are NOT supervised and therapists have inappropriate conversations around patients or are on their phones. Rehab manager is always behind closed doors and never available for concerns.

I am/was a resident of this facility

My father in-law was in Atrium after surgery, and they basically lost him in a wheelchair when they were supposed to be exercising him. They had activities, but they didn't engage their patients in them; they didn't do it, but it was a pretty place. They had a movie room, they had an exercise room, and they had a barber.

My husband is at Atrium of Wayne, and so far, so good. The place is a lockdown unit, and the room is fine. The staff is very friendly and caring. I feed him his lunch every day. He has been enjoying it. They have a lot of activities, like bingo, tossing ball around, coloring, and crafts, but he doesn’t participate.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

The Atrium of Wayne was a nice place to stay. My grandmother had been a resident for 2 years before her passing. When first walking into the facility it was very comfomfortable, It almost seemed like a hotel. The staff was friendly in greeting visitors and were very helpful when people didnt know where to go. The Atrium also had a pet friendly policy which I loved because my grandmother always wanted to be visited by my dog. They also had a nurse with a therapy dog that would visit on occasion. The Atrium had a nice hair salon for residents which made my grandmother very happy because she also loved looking her best! They have a nice outdoor patio where residents can sit and play games or visit with family and friends. The only reason I give The Atrium 4 out of 5 stars is because it was very very expensive and although there was lots of things to do, my grandmother was often lonely. I wish they had extra staff to visit with the residents more often than they did, for the money paid. Other than that I would suggest the Atrium to a friend.
