My mom stayed in New Vista before. It wasn't a good facility. First off, it had a really strong smell and it wasn't that clean. And then, she wasn't being cleaned properly and she was getting infection after infection. She also had bedsores from being in this facility. The staff wasn't that great. There was an instance where they put her in catheter and left it in for too long. Then, they lost the medical record that said when they first put the catheter in. I don't think it was coincidence that they had lost that piece of paper. I think they messed up. Eventually, my mom got UTI from that facility. I think they need more people. My mom didn't have a regular nurse coming in for her. Each day it was different. Usually the next nurse coming in had no idea what was going on with her. I don't think that was okay. When I called them in the middle of the day to ask about my mom, they would say, "Well, I don't know, I have to find her file." They had been there since morning, they're supposed to know my mom's condition.
