I am very pleased with Pine Acres Convalescent Center, and the care they've been giving my brother. He's getting 24-hour nursing care in a shared room, which is extremely clean and comfortable. It's not a fancy place and older but kept beautifully. What I've been most impressed by is the caring and friendliness of the staff. There is not a single person that does not greet me when I'm there. All of the administrative staff knew my name at my second visit. They are very amenable to keeping in touch with me either by phone or by email. They do whatever I ask them to do and they've taken wonderful care of my brother. Their food looks really delicious, too. Their menu always looks very appealing to me.

The facility was built in 1965 and it looks it. Not much has been updated, it is not an attractive place. Having said that I must say that I found the staff to be VERY caring and attentive. My Father's main complaints were that the food was often NOT good and severed cold. Also, 4 people usually must share 1 bathroom--which is difficult to say the least. If you are looking for good staff for subacute or short term I would recommend it. For long term, not sure I would want to live there. . .
