My mom is a resident of Lakeland Health Care Center. It's very clean and friendly. It seems like a warm place. It's not as big as some other places are. It's more personal. The people I've dealt with have been nice. When you ask them questions, they respond. I've called certain times and sometimes they aren't able to pick up because they're busy, but they do call back. They make an effort. They'll call somebody and they'll page people. They will talk to you and they'll answer your questions. So the staff is friendly, and it seems that they care about the people. She's in a room with another patient, which is fine. I have relatives that have been there when she's been given her food and for the most part, she eats it. It seems like she's fine with it. Sometimes there are certain things she doesn't like, but I go over the menu and she has certain food restrictions that we follow, but overall it's good. They're giving her some physical therapy while she's there. She's not as involved as other people might be in activities because she's 94 and she has dementia. I haven't been there for them to see the activities, but I know they do have a calendar of activities of what they do and everything.

I've been in Lakeland Health Care Center nursing for almost 2 years now. I finished my rehabilitation and then the pandemic hit so now everyone's trying to get out of here. I had an accident just over two years ago and I was put here for rehabilitation. I'm fine now, everything is okay and I'm walking on my own. I've been given a list here that I've been calling trying to find someplace to go to. The rehabilitation was good. Medically, they take care of me. You're pretty much allowed to do what you want here, even though it's limited what you're allowed to do. Their only stipulation is that you're not allowed to leave and they don't want people leaving and going around the neighborhood or whatever. That makes visitation pretty limited. I guess the facility is fine and they take good care of it. They have people here that help you with certain things. Once a week we get visits from outside social help. If you need something, they get it for you and that's pretty much it. They've got two people per bedroom and I share myself, so that's not a problem. The food is okay some days and some days you just don't want to eat it because it's not something that would normally be on my diet. It's not the best but it's also not bad. The staff is fine and you get friendly with a few people. There's been a lot of change over but as far as the personal nurses that treat me and the doctor that normally takes care of me and all that, they're all fine.
