The rooms were fine and always clean. I worked with Daniella, who was my social worker, while I was a patient there. She helped me so much with all my questions and supplied me with knowledge of how to get Home care, how to get transportation for when I would visit doctors when I left the facility. She even called me a few days after I left to see how I was doing and if I found a primary Doctor that I was happy with, etc. I am happy with the Doctor I found. She was always in a good mood and smiling. Daniella is very kind and caring and did an outstanding job with me and I observed she was the same way with all the other patients she interacted with. She is an asset to Excel care and their patients. Thank you to Daniella for always going above and beyond for me.

About Excelcare at Dover in Dover, New Jersey
Regency Grande is located in the historic town of Dover, in New Jersey’s Morris County. Founded in 1722, the picturesque community is actually nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, although it is just 35 miles from Manhattan and approximately the same distance from the Delaware River and the Pennsylvania border. Once a landmark hotel, today the six-story facility has evolved into a wonderful showcase of Regency’s commitment to total patient-centered care and comfortable, home-like living.
Regency Grande’s team of experienced caregivers and support staff provides a variety of long- and short-term healthcare services designed to meet the widely varying and changing needs of our residents and patients, including the elderly, those suffering from prolonged illnesses or disabilities, as well as short-term Post-acute rehabilitation candidates. Services at the 155-bed facility range from 24-hour skilled nursing to sub-acute and Post-acute care and assistance with basic requirements of daily living in Regency Grande’s gracious assisted living accommodations.
Residents and families alike enjoy the friendly environment, comfortable, cheery rooms, sumptuous dining with choice of meals, beautifully appointed living, dining and recreation areas, as well as a stimulating schedule of activities and entertainment.
Regency Grande is very much a part of the Dover town landscape that, for the past several years, has been undergoing a business and cultural renaissance. Families and residents can step out of our front door and shop for antiques, ride in a paddle boat, visit dozens of boutiques, go to a country-style auction, attend a summer concert, or dine at one of the town’s many fine restaurants.
Easily reached by public bus or rail transportation, or via automobile from major roadways Routes 80, 46 and 10, Regency Grande has emerged as a “grand example” of Regency living!

There are some great people there, and some bad. Unfortunately, those that are bad really overshadow. Specifically, there's a nurse in the evening shift (Canada) that intentionally locked my mother and I out of the building at 730, before visiting hours were over. She sat at the desk ignoring our knocks at the door. Canada should be fired from this facility, rather than just spoken to. I was supposed to help and feed my dad and they were going to let him go hungry and not let me back in. Luckily a kind janitor let me in a side door. The physical therapists are lovely and so are many aids. It's a shame how one toxic person can ruin your entire experience.

Excellent. I only had one issue and they resolved it! I can't say how appreciative I am of all the aides and nurses assigned to me. Everyone is so nice. I've done better in 2 weeks of therapy at Regency Grande than I did in 3 weeks at another rehab.

My husband is residing at the Regency Grande. He is there for nursing care. His room is very comfortable and very cozy. They keep it spotless and extremely clean. It is not at all a hospital-like setting. It has enough space and everything is inclusive. My husband loves the food too. The care is exceptionally great. The aides and the nurses are on top of everything. They really truly care about the patients. They make sure that they're comfortable and they fit into the community. They continuously keep them busy. They have casino day, Bingo, arts and crafts, exercises, and a book mobile comes around. There are unlimited things for the residents to do.

My sister-in-law is very comfortable at Regency Grande Post-Acute Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She is in hospice right now. The staff is great, they give her breakfast, lunch and dinner, and they have a doctor that comes in. I'm very satisfied.

I visited Regency Grande. The area it was located in was not very pleasant. It was a big street and not secluded. The place itself was not bad, but it was more like a nursing home and medium-sized. I waited 15 minutes for someone who was supposed to walk me around.

Excellent. The therapists, aides, nurses, everyone is wonderful. It’s kept very clean They’re constantly cleaning and the food is good and if you don’t like what you get, the aides will go get something else. They are very attentive and equally to everyone. I don’t have anything negative to say.

Recently, I was fortunate to stay some 7 weeks at this facility in Dover, NJ. Without the slightest hesitation, I can say that the Regency Grande Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dover, NJ, stands alone and high above my several other rehab experiences. The physical plant is akin to new and well maintained hotel, most comfortable and pleasant accommodations and entertaining, well coordinated activities. The therapists and caregivers were phenomenal too. This is definitely a 5 star facility. Walt M.

My spouse Sonia was in the Regency Grande last Aug/Sept and we were extremely pleased with the physical therapy she received there. She was stronger and able to walk confidently with a walker. When it came time to pick a facility for Sonia after 2 major heart operations in Boston, we would not go anywhere except the Regency Grande. She could not walk when she arrived in February 2015 and came out walking with a walker in April 2015. It is also a testament to the Regency Grande that everyone that worked there when Sonia was there in 2014 was there when we returned in 2015. We were welcomed home like family.

This is a subacute rehab center and a nursing home. My mother was a nursing home resident there for about two years. The staff is courteous, and most display a good attitude. The decor is lovely; it doesn't look sterile or "clinical." The activities staff could employ more of a variety of activities (i.e. tailor the activities to the residents ability). However, there are frequent visits by various musicians, which definitely brings joy to the residents. The residents are kept clean, groomed and dressed every day. As with all homes, the family adds the extra TLC. My mother had been in two other nursing homes in the area that we did not find satisfactory (despite their good ratings). Regency Grande was the best by far.
