This place is awful the head nurse Monti (think that was it) was extremely rude and condescending the entire time I saw her. Some of the staff is nice which is the only reason it even gets one star. Other wise they deserve none. Place is filthy. First day my mom was there the room had black stuff all on the floor, used thermometer covers, trash was full, a resident came and got his stuff out of the room. Bugs in lights, cobwebs all over. The nurses are rude and it’s honestly no wonder they work at such an awful place.

Facility is always dirty and smells awful. Staff especially nurses are rude and unprofessional they use profanity at other staff members as well as residents. There long term unit isn’t fit for a dog.’

My father was there and took me four days to get him out of there. Bed linens were dirty, took for ever to get a response to the request for assistance and help was not very skilled. Would never put a relative here again.

I don't think the sanitation is good in Florence Park. My mother broke her leg and she was bedbound and a couple of times she had to lay there on her own spills for quite a while before someone came and it usually happens on weekends when they are short of staff, but through the week, everything seems to be handled pretty well. I don't think the rooms are as sanitary and clean. The people are just fine and I have no issues. They came every time we had to address something. The cleaning staff need to make sure that the rooms and bathrooms are clean and disinfected definitely. They need to be more alert especially on weekends.

Staff could be unfriendly at times but my family wasn't the easiest to work with. We had many communication problems regarding payment. Staff did not inform us of one member of the family's delinquency in payment for my grandmother until it was very behind and she was on the verge of being kicked out. The actual wing my grandmother stayed in smelled bad and did not seem clean but the facility had nice common areas for visiting. However, to get to them you had to walk through hallways where patients would be "parked" in while sleeping or just sitting there. Was not a pleasant place.

I feel that my grandmother is safe here. My grandfather and family members have become very close with some of the staff. The facility is always clean and they have even updated it in the past year with new furniure and flooring. The gardens are tended to and the residents seem to be clean. There is an abudance of food served with three meals a day. The down side is there are not enough workers. The food may be there but there are not enough people there to feed them the food. Many of the residents are bored and do not have enough engagement because of the lack of people. Not for sure if people don't want to work there or if they only will pay so many. If there were more people there the patients would be a lot more happier.
