She is a nice woman, Miss Lemons, who was the assisted living provider for my grandmother. She gave the southern hospitality vibe, but there wasn't a lot for the seniors, including my grandmother, to do. There was a pool, and a small fenced in yard. The care home was filled with southern decor, and lots of rooms with televisions.Every time I visited it was always clean. There was always food available for guests and the residents. The seniors were never outside. Obviously the seniors in their late sixties and early seventies weren't going to do laps in pool every morning, but they needed exercise. All the seniors did was watch tv and eat unhealthy foods. I felt like the care giver could have exposed them to the sun more and made be more active. It is good to be lively and to get sunlight. I feel like my grandmother would have lived longer had someone taken the time to make sure she was getting some kind of exercise and exposure outside. All she did was sit and watch television, and eat sweets. Since she was already in poor health, so it was just a matter of time before this sedentary lifestyle would hinder her health to point of no recovery. In conclusion, I feel that the care giver was very polite, but did not understand what people need to extend their lives. I feel that it is a vital characteristic that unfortunately many assisted living homes lack. She probably didn't have enough people working there. She and a few other employees had to change their diapers, feed them, change their clothes, bathe them, monitor all their medications, and etc. It isn't an easy job, I don't think I could do all they did for all the people at the home. At the end of the day, she probably needed more people staffed to give the kind of care one wants for their loved ones.
