I had been to Woodland Ridge about a year or so ago. It was a very nice place, and the staff was excellent. I had a very good experience. They're very personable and very caring. They answered every question and bent over backwards to try to help us. I had to place my wife there for a few days, and her room was excellent. They took care of her as much as they could. She was in the assisted living part, and they just bent over backwards trying to help us. The atmosphere was good. It was quiet. It did not feel like an assisted living facility. I ate lunch with my wife a couple of times. The food wasn't gourmet, but it was good and decent. I don't know about dinner, but they seemed to have plenty of food. My wife wasn't able to participate in activities, so I'm not really sure how extensive they were. They seemed to offer a fair amount of things for them to do.

I visited Woodland Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care. They offer hair appointments, there's a cafeteria, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there are common areas for sitting. There are planned activities, and they have bingo. They also have a bus that runs a schedule that will take you to the grocery store and things like that. They offer laundry services for a separate fee. I was completely fine with that facility. It was my mother that didn't want to move. The staff was very informative and friendly. I saw them interact with the residents. We did talk to a couple of the residents who said that the food was very good, and we were able to view the menu of what they were having daily. The residents are required to go to the cafeteria to eat. They're not allowed to bring the food from the cafeteria to the rooms. I saw three rooms for a single person category. They were all very well-maintained, clean, and very nice rooms. You could see the view from inside the building. Some of the apartments overlooked the common sitting area. It had benches and nice landscaping. It was a clean facility. It had live-in support, a small dog that the residents all interacted with. You could tell they all knew and loved the dog.

Woodland Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care was more for people who are not as independent, as opppsed to my parents who were more independent. So, it didn't fit their needs. They have activities that are not as active as my parents are. Their room didn't have a kitchenette or anything like that, unlike other places where they're more like an apartment style. They just had a bedroom and a bath, and didn't have any space for a kitchen or a balcony, and it was very enclosed. My mom wouldn't be happy about that at all. The staff was good though. Everybody was very attentive and very friendly, and they seemed to be very clean and organized. So, they did well in that area. The lady was very detailed and gave me a pamphlet with all the information, and was very professional. The facilities were very clean too.

We had a very pleasant and informative visit at Woodland Ridge. The surrounding was nice and clean and nicely landscaped. The room was nice and had nice colored walls. They had a list of activities for their residents. The dining area was spacious, nice and clean. The staff was very friendly.

Woodland Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care was nice, newly renovated, and very friendly. Any staff member I passed by stopped to have a conversation. The rooms were nice; one was large and spacious, and the second one was newer, but a little bit smaller, and everything was nice and clean. They had a library and a couple of common places.

I visited the memory care portion of Woodland Ridge for Mom. It's a very nice place, they have very nice staff, and the staff has been with them for a long time. My problem with it is the fact that they're very expensive. We saw one room, it was very nice, and the bathroom was big enough for a walker. The residents were well-kept, they were sitting in a common room watching TV, and they were singing old songs.

The rooms at Woodland Ridge were good. The staff was friendly and outgoing. They had cameras outside the door, and they seemed to cater to the needs of the elderly that needed assistance. They had Bingo, arts, and stuff, like most of them have.

I am very pleased with Woodland Ridge. My husband is in memory care, and I am very pleased with all the facility is doing. It is a small facility, and there are a lot of people on-hand. It is all 1-level and has a very homey, family feel to it. They do a very good job for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. I am pleased with their menu.

Dad is in Woodland. It's fine, it was quite good, and everybody there was pretty nice. The rooms were nice, the ceilings were tall, and it felt nice and open. He watches TV, he gets dinner, and that's pretty much what he's interested in. He said the food was pretty good. So far, everyone we've met has been very nice, and everything seemed to be going well.

Woodland Ridge was OK. It was not exactly what we were looking for, but it was an OK facility. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were nice, comfortable looking, clean, and well-maintained. The grounds looked good. It was an acceptable facility in my opinion. I would recommend for other people to look at it.

WR is excellent! Very caring staff, many of them have been there a long time which is quite unusual for Assisted Living. Facility is cheerful and always well kept. They have a lot of activities and access to in house medical, dental, psychiatry and beauty salon is wonderful!! Highly recommend.

Woodland Ridge is a good facility. Everything was OK. We had a little problem with the medication, but we finally got that straigthened out. After that, it was OK. They had plenty of things to do, but my loved one refused to participate. They did have activities. They had bingo, crafts, exercise in the morning, TV time, and church on Sundays. They had a whole bunch of stuff.

The gal who showed me around Woodland Ridge was very good and wonderful and talked to residents. I thought it needed a lot of updating. To me, the rooms were very depressing, very small, and very dark. I couldn’t see my mother there because they didn’t have any type of view out the window; it reminded me of a prison. They said they were upgrading, and I thought the security was good because you couldn’t just walk right in. It was locked all of the time, which was a good feature. They had a huge dining room.

I investigated several facilities as we neared the end of Skilled Nursing, met most with great angst about the fit for my mother, and then found Woodland Ridge (WR). They made my ulcer go away. I was very comfortable with the introduction and information I received, the caregivers I met, and the environment for my mother. The WR team that went to the Skilled Nursing facility to evaluate Mom also received rave reviews for their thoroughness, warmth, and professionalism from my mother’s nurses there. (Some others did not.) Now that “we” have been at WR for a while, I can honestly say it is where I would choose to be for me if I were in the same situation as my mother. The staff is excellent in terms of their abilities, attention to needs, active care, understanding of residents, and communication with family. They seem very cohesive. I have not seen turnover, and most have been there for quite a long time. They have levels of care, and so can meet changing needs of most residents. Overall, they seem to run a tight ship (which I appreciate) with warmth and a supportive community spirit. My father and I have developed a strong communicative relationship with the caregivers there, so we feel well-connected with all aspects of my mother's needs. No, it’s not “home” and not the path we had planned. This is hard on all of us. But, WR has helped us manage this as well as we can, and we sleep well at night because we have complete confidence that my mother is cared for and supported when we are not there.

I personally like Woodland Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care a lot. It was so convenient. The only thing is if we put Mom’s dog in there, she would have to personally take care of it, and she forgets, so that would not work. As far as pricing, this facility is the best among all that I have visited. I really liked the staff, who was very knowledgeable and very caring. The rooms were just fine.

I like Woodland Ridge a lot, but they would not take her when all is said and done. But it is great. The fees are reasonable, and the staff was wonderful. The rooms are big. It is in a quiet setting way tucked back in the woods, and it was a good size.

We are very happy with Woodland Ridge. It is my mother-in-law who is there, and they are taking good care of her. It is a beautiful facility, and she is really happy there. I will recommend it. She has a one-bedroom apartment with a full-size bed, a chair, a dresser, and a nice size closet. The staff is wonderful. They are very attentive, and they are concerned. They are quick to call us. We are there in different times of the day, so we know that she is having care throughout the day. The food looks good, and my mother-in-law loves it.

Residents in assisted living may not be able to live alone but do not require the skilled services provided in a nursing facility, but woodlands assisted living program of personal care provides assistance with the activities of daily living in a supportive community setting and personally the facility really was organized. when someone wanted to plan a visit they would talk to the supervisor at the attendants desk, and they would place it on this huge calender so residents at the facility could look forward to it. I was interested in being a personal care giver but I never had the time in these hard days. The facility was really picky to finding the right dedicated employees. Woodland Ridge workers really are committed to upholding the highest home care standards for client care and satisfaction in Smyrna. If I ever go to another Assisted living facility I would never see the love and compassion workers and residents has in Woodland Ridge.

I've volunteered at Woodland Ridge for several years with my church. The residents tell me how happy they are and how well they are cared for at Woodland Ridge. Their family members are also welcome and active in the community that gives it a true family feeling. It won't be too many years before I will think of moving there too. I'm glad I'll have friends there to welcome me.
