My brother is a resident at Deerwood Place and I was so worried about him going into assisted living. Right from the start the administrator was on top of every detail and still is. The staff are friendly, courteous, and respectful to all the residents. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the residents there are happy and interacting with each other. Anytime I've had a question or concern I call the administrators cell phone and she is right there every time. She has gone above and beyond to help my brother and he is very happy there. I can sleep at night knowing my brother is in good hands and happy! The facility is very clean, nice and welcoming! I am a happy sister for a brother I love very much knowing he is in a great place!

I placed my sister in Deerwood Place. I love the appearance and the layout. It's very clean and doesn't smell bad. They're a little slow on maintenance issues, and there's not one person you can ask for information; they seem to not really know. They're negotiating their cable, so we didn't have cable for the rooms for two months now. All the medical assistance seems to be very good. The food and dining area are very nice.

I choose Deerwood Place because is close to my job. It is clean. I like the staff, and they take Medicaid. I didn't taste the meal, but I see that it is good enough. However, the room could be bigger.

It's all very good here at Deerwood Place. The rooms are adequate and nice. My room has a refrigerator and a microwave. I like mostly their staff. They're really good. I'm very satisfied with this facility. I would recommend them to others.

Rooms are small but the care, food and programs are very acceptable. Cost is normal range. I would recommend a family member living here

Some one referred Deerwood Place and I went for a visit. I would never put anybody there. The rooms were bingy, dark and small. The bathrooms which were attached to the individual units were old, had rusty faucets and chipped sinks. The dining hall was not very well-put together. It was just nasty. The lighting and bathrooms should be improved. I saw that there was construction in one of the gathering room but I did not know if they were doing the whole place or not.

The buildings are very nice is kept up very well both inside and outside. The grounds are landscaped nicely and obviously maintained professionally. There are many events available to the residents to ensure they are never bored. They all seemed to be excited for the day and eager to take part in the community. There was Bingo and other "gambling" games weekly along with special events for the holidays. However, the common areas sometimes seemed to be too small to accommodate the amount of people who were in them especially when many were in wheelchairs. The food was good and complimented on by many residents. Volunteers were used to host many events and while they seemed good with the residents I think more hired caretakers were necessary. Overall, I would recommend the facility to my family especially because the prices are competitive. My relative in it was always in good spirits despite her ailments.
