So far, I would not rate them very well. In my opinion, their administration takes advantage of people. They will pressure you into signing a lease before you ever qualify for assisted-living and then just collect your money. Their nurse will qualify you for living there or even if you meet none of the state standards for being healthy enough to live in an assisted living facility. Their nurse approved my friend without any sort of exam, face-to-face (Face face exam is required by the state ) when she was positive for a very contagious disease and on isolation (you cannot be admitted to an assisted living if you have a communicable disease ) and then, when she re-examined her or spoke to her, rather, she did not do an exam, she again approved her even though my friend could not stand on her own or transfer, or any of the things that you’re supposed to be able to do to qualify for assisted living. They have no problem cashing the check though, and won’t return your calls. Seems very unethical. Buyer beware. Don’t let them pressure you into a lease before you are ready to move in.

Brookdale Southpoint was a small facility and it was an older building. The rooms were small. The young lady who showed me around was very pleasant. Other than the normal, they had 3 meals a day and snacks, they would do the daily housekeeping of the rooms, and there were facilities for them to do their laundry. They had daily programs and events outside.

Brookdale Southpoint was a one floor facility, which was something that I was interested in. There was not a huge number of total beds. Their memory care unit was secure. They have a shared living suite or a room for two, but that's not what I wanted. I wanted more of a companion suite where the rooms are separated. The tour was still fine. People were very nice and I liked the place. They had an activity room, a library, and LifeStations. I met one of the women that worked in the memory care unit and I really liked her approach on how she communicates and deals with the residents.

I toured Brookdale Southpoint. The person that came out to see me was friendly. She toured us around and told us about the program. It looked clean and it smelled fresh, so it was nice. They had a library, but I didn't see a pool. The appearance of the place was nice. It was satisfactory and pleasant.

I went to Brookdale Southpoint. It's a little bit better than the other place I visited. The staff was very accommodating, friendly, and very helpful. They showed me around and answered all my questions. I explained to the manager that the range of the prices they provided for us is out of my limitation, and she gave me a list of other facilities to look at. It was well cared for. The room was clean. I liked it better than the other place, but I cannot afford it. It was bigger, and the shower and the closets were better.

I liked the personnel at Brookdale Southpoint, but I disliked the memory care unit, particularly because they had a wood wall around it that appears to be thirty feet tall. It's like a fortress with a very small area for people to walk out in. I would describe the staff as very friendly and helpful, and if I had just based it on the staff, I would have moved my aunt in there. The place needs a lot of love and attention. It is pretty run down once you enter the front door. The surrounding is beautiful with beautiful trees, instead of an area where there are medical buildings and all. The location is beautiful. We were told that they have plans to upgrade things and get things like they should be, but I just don't know how long it would take. I was not interested in going in at this point.

I toured Brookdale Southpoint. I toured both assisted and memory care. The office staff was really nice. The rooms are pretty normal, in terms of the others that I've looked at, like everything is pretty comparable to the other places that I toured. It was very pretty. The amenities are pretty much what most nursing facilities offer. I know they have a salon. I am unaware that they had a pool, or they would have a gym. What you have to really realize is, with COVID, you can walk through the dining room but I think most of the places that I went are doing in-room dining, so the dining area is there but they're not using it. In order to kinda discourage people from going there and sitting around, then everything is kind of push aside and those types of things. The only people that I had anything to deal with was the office staff and they were nice.

We found Brookdale Southpoint. They seem very nice, very welcoming, and the apartment of my brother is very well organized. It is very clean, was just painted, and the staff is very efficient. They have a courtyard, craft room, and a little library. He's moving there soon. The facility is very clean, sparkling clean. I would recommend it.

I didn't like Brookdale Southpoint. I went to both their assisted living and memory care facilities, and the staff was not prepared to have me visit even though we set up the time in advance. There was a nurse, but there was no guided tour. She did the best she could, but she wasn't dedicated to giving me the tour. Of the five places I visited, it was the only one I would not put my mother in. The nurse was nice enough, but it smelled bad when I walked in.

We liked Brookdale Southpoint. The staff was pretty nice. The rooms were probably smaller than what we anticipated, but it would be in a price range that we would be able to afford right now. It is very accommodating, the staff is attentive, and overall, it is a nice place to be.

My family member moved here over 4 months ago. They've had nothing but staffing problems, particularly in the kitchen. The menus they post online are not what they serve -- they've had 6 different cooks in the last 4 months, and my loved one's health has deteriorated due to the terrible food, enough so that we are considering a move elsewhere. They don't seem to understand what sugar-free means.

I didn’t care for Brookdale Southpoint. They need a wrecking crew in there, and I didn’t like the staff. It was old, tired, and not well kept nor clean. The location was OK because it was close to where I worked.

We were not impressed with Brookdale Southpoint. We had set up an appointment, and when we went there, they were not ready in any way. They had somebody else come, take us around, and meet with us. She was a very nice woman, but I just did not feel that it was a professional presentation. I did not feel that there was much interaction with the residents as I walked by. The person who took us around was upbeat but not necessarily about the facility, while the other staff, I did not see the cheerfulness or the upbeat personality. They looked more tired.

Brookdale Southpoint was a little more up-to-date than the other place we visited. It's a newer facility.

I really didn’t like Brookdale Southpoint because they were all about the money. I just felt as though they were more about trying to get the room rented. They weren't even worried about my grandmother's care or needs. The staff who accommodated me at first was very nice, but then she became very pushy.

It was a little bit more independent, and I think my grandmother would have wanted it. It was a little bit of a younger population, and everyone seemed very active. The staff was fine, and it seems like a very nice place.

It was good, but I just don't know if my mom wants to go that far out because she lives in the city. The rooms were big enough. You have a full-sized bed, a little sofa, a dresser, and a bathroom. It's just enough room for what she may need. They were an outstanding staff. By the time I went there, there wasn't anybody there except one girl, but she showed me what she could. There are a few restaurants around. The hospital looked close, and doctors' offices are around there.

My family and I visited this facility to find a right place for my grandfather and grandmother. Being together is what matters the most to them, considering their age, and with the sizes of the rooms , that isn't a problem. We as a family choose this place as well as my grandparents. They are constantly busy either enjoying local surroundings, walking on the trails and visiting the gardens. To this day they still say they enjoy this place.
