Murray Senior Recreation Center(801) 284-4237The Murray Senior Recreation Center is a place where seniors can partake in leisure time, get assistance from social services, attend educational and instructional programs such as culture, computers, art and general health for older adults. Activities also include dances, playing cards and exercise sessions. Nutritious meals are offered, and there is no membership fee. Some activities may have a cost for supplies.
Rides for Wellness(385) 468.3200Older adults and seniors 60 or older can schedule rides through Rides for Wellness to medical appointments such as chemotherapy sessions, physical therapy and kidney dialysis. The vehicles are wheelchair-accessible minivans, but larger vans are also available. Rides need to be scheduled at least one week in advance, and seniors who schedule ahead of time will receive priority. Rides run from 8:30 to 4:00 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and on Thursday between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

The climate is a primarily high desert with an average rainfall of 20 inches and an average snowfall of 68 inches. In only a few days, temperatures can go from one extreme to another.

The good news is that in 2021, Utah established a nonrefundable tax credit for Social Security benefits.
