We moved into Cedarwood at Sandy. It's very, very good. I chose them because of the potential beauty and friendliness of the place. It's just good old camaraderie here. The staff members are very, very caring. From the kitchen staff to the housekeeping staff to the yard people, they are all very caring. The food is really good. It's reasonable. It's very homey. Many times it's like having a meal at home. They have way more activities than a person can participate and they're all good ones. As we looked around at many places, this was one that fit into our budget most economically and expeditiously. Another reason we came here is because we felt we got very good value for our money.

I toured Cedarwood at Sandy. The facility was nice. The staff was nice and seemed like there were a lot of activities for her to do. The lady who helped with the tour was just helpful and insightful. The facility was clean.

I like Cedarwood at Sandy very much. It's not quite what I was looking for, but they were very friendly, and it's very well set up. They have quite a bit going on as far as crafts and things like that. The rooms were very nice. The staff who gave the tour was sweet. They have a garden area and the people who live there take care of it. They have a garden club, too.

We've visited Cedarwood at Sandy. We only met with the salesperson, and he was nice. Their open areas were very nice, everything was very plushy. The apartments were beautiful with granite countertops and brand-new stainless steel apartments. They had lots of activities going on. They had quilting, crocheting for the homeless, and piano recitals going on. They also have two places to eat with an awesome menu. We didn't get to eat there, but it looks awesome, and they had 30 choices a day that you can choose from. The only drawback for us was they could not take my mother-in-law far enough, they only drove 10 miles out of the area to go to doctors' appointments, and she goes 17 miles. But everything else was beautiful, and I would have chosen that place myself. The apartments had a little area for them to sit down so they didn't have to bring a table with them, it's very open with lots of storage, and the prices were very fair.

I had a tour of Cedarwood at Sandy, it was my favorite. I enjoyed it. It was warm, it was attractive, and it was inclusive. I liked it. The person who gave the tour was great, she did a good job. She showed me every type of room. They have patios and exterior patios and balconies, and I was able to see all aspects of the building. I like their floorplans. They have a deluxe studio apartment, it was the nicest studio that I've seen. It was cost-effective, so it was the best use of our money. They have several different outdoor spaces and they're all well-maintained. They had some that were going through some maintenance and refurbishing, they had umbrellas that were being repaired, and stuff like that. These areas were very attractive and they were very welcoming. They look nice, I'd want to spend outside time in them. I ate there, the food was good and they have different options. The dining area was also nice and warm and attractive.

We toured Cedarwood at Sandy and we liked everything about it. It was one of our favorites, but it was more expensive than the one we ended up choosing. The staff members were helpful and they answered all our questions. They have all the different amenities that we need, and they actually had the largest room size of all the places that we visited. They also have a large courtyard, they have all of the inside amenities for dining, a salon, and all the excursions available. They could take people to doctors' appointments and shopping. Their facilities were very good and very clean.

My mother-in-law moved into Cedarwood at Sandy, and it's great. The people and food are great. The communication has been really good. They have activities. I like the overall friendliness. The facility is clean. She's in a studio, but it's fantastic for her.

Cedarwood at Sandy I didn't like the salesperson, so that was a big takeaway for me. He just felt like a used car salesman, he felt very smarmy. It's beautiful and the apartments are beautiful, it just the community was not the feel for us. I didn't see any of the food, but I did see the dining room, it was beautiful, nice, and open. They had a beauty salon and they did offsite shopping trips.

Cedarwood at Sandy was very nice. They had a beautiful garden for assisted living. The memory care had to be locked. It was very sparse in greenery, and there wasn't enough shade (which I didn't like). Everything else was wonderful. The price wasn't bad. In fact, they were one of the three that we chose. The staff is very knowledgeable, very helpful, and the follow up was very good. It was nice that as they walked through they knew the residents' names and greeted them. I liked the room accommodations. I liked that the residents seemed happy, and I liked the price. It was reasonable.

I visited Cedarwood at Sandy. It was very nice. The staff was very cordial and very friendly. It was just very comfortable. It's a fairly large complex. The building is a little older, but it's well maintained and well kept up. It has all the modern amenities. They do not have a pool, but they have a gym. It's close to shops, too.

We liked Cedarwood at Sandy. We were told all the good things about it, how good the meals are, and that they have an all-day menu. However, now that she has moved in, we experienced some hostility at the front desk, and specific individuals who couldn't care less and have no manners. I talked to the front desk off hours, and I said we like just fruits and yogurt for our loved one. We were greeted by someone who didn't care too much and said she wouldn't be able to do it, and that the CNA had to do it. We waited for almost an hour and there was no food, so I called again, and someone brought it up and walked straight in with no greeting. Other than that, the place is nice and her apartment is nice, but it's a little too far out because we got the last room. She has a call button. It's a clean and homey environment.

Cedarwood at Sandy wasn't as open as the others. It was more expensive and darker, but the outside looked nice. The staff during the tour was very nice. We were invited for a meal, but we didn't eat there. The dining room didn't seem to be as open. They had games and activities, patios, a vehicle to transport people, and a nice salon and they even invited me to come down and get my hair done. It was homey, but not as homey as the others.

My husband is in Cedarwood at Sandy. I am overly pleased with the care. It's a beautiful facility. The rooms are great, the food is great, and the people working for them are just incredible. They're really caring. They'll break their backs trying to please everybody. It's an awesome facility. They have so many things going on. There's a lot of physical fitness, book clubs, and audible books on tape. The food is very good, but he doesn't like beef and red meat, and they serve a lot of that.

The thing that impressed us most at Cedarwood at Sandy is that everything that is done to make the home a happy and familial place. There's great emphasis on activities, like trips every Friday to different places in Salt Lake Valley, and with every place they go there's a little activity for the elderly to participate in. They have exercise classes. The food is excellent and restaurant-style serving, so you can eat any time you want although the regular meals have a set time like on a cruise ship. The rooms are absolutely lovely and personable. My mother-in-law has gone on at least one trip. They have big parties where they gather and invite families to come as well, and so my mother-in-law has participated in the luau. It's the same price as just about every other home but better. They also provide church service that my mom enjoyed. The staff is very nice. I didn't try the food but my husband did and he said it was excellent.

There was construction going on while I was at Cedarwood at Sandy, which was not that long ago. It was kind of distracting; however, everyone was very welcoming. It is close to my house, which is what I like. They had a wing for assisted living, so you'd have to move to a different wing but not a different building. The girl who took me around was great. I liked their apartments. Theyhad numerous different activities for different types of people. The only drawback was that they're under construction. If they hadn't been, I would give them a higher rating.

My husband passed away, but I have found a place for myself at Cedarwood. It is friendly, clean, and up-to-date. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. The room is very nice and clean.

Cedarwood at Sandy is an older place. The staff and director are really nice. I'm a little concerned about the maintenance because they put in a nice stove but didn't paint the wall behind it, so it doesn't have a very nice look to it. Other than that, it's all really good. I think we'll be very happy since there are a lot of good people there. I liked the idea that Mom has someone to come in and clean her house for her every week and also not having a set time to go down and eat. It seems like there's a long walk between a lot of the places, but that's just the way the building is. The residents are very happy with it. It has very open parking, which is convenient when family comes to visit. My mom has a decent-sized fridge and a small stove, which is perfect for her in a full kitchen. Cedarwood's bathrooms are very small. The people are so friendly, giving, and welcoming.

I thought Cedarwood at Sandy was nice but just too big, and we prefer a smaller place. The one that we ended up with only has about 15 or 17 people in it. It was really nice and everybody seemed friendly. The man who gave me the tour was really nice and talked with me about the different options and the programs that they have there, and seemed like it was taken care of. They had activities going on for the residents, it seemed like the staff was friendly, and they had different pricing options, different rooms, or different things for each person's needs.

It is close to my mother's dialysis. Great place with a good staff. They have Bingo, movies -- everything. Yes, I would recommend. I liked their location and service the best.

The other day, we visited this community. It was very positive. They would made you feel welcome and would show you around. The people working there were very helpful, positive, and upbeat. We saw a couple rooms. One was being lived in and an empty one. It had nice arrangements and a nice size.

My visit went very well. It was very friendly. It was good. They let me look at a lot of their available rooms. You can get a larger apartment there. I like the fact that their meal isn't so formal. They had all kinds of activities.

I visited two places in Sandy, I like them both, but this community has independent and assisted side. I felt like if my mom's needs change, I can move her to assisted living and that's what has happened recently. We have just moved her to the assisted living part. The facility is clean. The staff and the residents know my mom. I like the personnel and they have lots of activities. Also the food is excellent.

I went with my son. The woman who toured us was very helpful and I liked her presentation of the place. She sent me a menu every month with all the activities and that was something that I do as I want to keep active even if I go to a place like that. We looked around and there were some nice things that I liked about the facility. They have some outdoor rose garden. The layout of the room was good. There was a laundry in the apartment. There were just a lot of features that impressed me. It was in a nice area and I like the location that the facility was in. The staff were very nice. Another feature that I liked about the facility is that everybody wears a medical band so that if you have a problem you just press the button and somebody comes and helps you. That gave me a lot of comfort knowing that in an emergency there would be somebody there immediately. The whole atmosphere was warm and welcoming and I liked it. As I said to my son, this is the number one place for me if and when I decide to go to Utah.

It is centrally located to lot of other health facilities and senior living centers. The place itself has everything on the site: medical staff, really nice cafeteria, and other amenities. The staff was very helpful when we visited. We had a complete tour and they did follow up several times. We had lunch there and we liked the food. They even have a complete menu where you can order from.

They're only as good as the staff and they're only as good as the direct care staff in the facility. Whether medications are given or handed to the residents, whether or not they actually do that appropriately, and whether there's supervision by a nurse which is usually isn't there every day, I'm not sure that that's done really well.
