BridgeWater is nice, clean, small, and not overcrowded. There's a nice courtyard and an event coordinator who's starting to do more activities, so things are good. The dining area is clean, well-run, and food comes out quick and tasty. My grandfather has been living there for two months.

My 74 year old mother's experience at Bridgewater Assisted Living has been nothing short of a nightmare. Over time, we noticed a decline in the facility's Wellness. Communication with the staff became a constant issue, as they were defensive and hostile when we raised concerns or asked questions. Our mother, who was once happy and content, gradually became more and more annoyed by simple things. She started complaining about the care staff, including not wanting a specific med tech to care for her nor to dispense her meds. The Wellness Director was alerted to this and we were able to highlight instances where policies and procedures were observed being blatantly disregarded. In the last year, our mother experienced several hospitalizations due to severe infections in her lower extremities. These infections went unnoticed and unreported by the staff, causing immense discomfort and hindering her mobility. Mom began experiencing falls, some of which were never reported to us. She also expressed doubts about the consistency and accuracy of her medication administration. We were on site witnessing med techs carelessly administer medication without proper monitoring raised serious concerns about patient safety. Occasionally finding other residents' medications on the floors in the hallways and giving them back to med techs who state “oh man”. In December, my mom suffered a serious fall in her apartment, fracturing her nose and sustaining multiple bruises. She called 911 herself. Emergency services determined that her blood sugar levels were critically low. It was later suggested by the Doctors at the local hospital that the only answer was my mom had been given the wrong medication. She is not diabetic Bridgewater management dismissed our concerns and showed no willingness to address their role in this dangerous incident. business hours. When we escalated the issue to the C-level executives, we were met with resistance, deflection, and combative interactions. Instead of supporting us, Bridgewater was more concerned with avoiding accountability and maintaining their reputation. My mom was in the hospital for a full week. By the end of that week the Doctor cleared our mom to return to her home. The Wellness Director at Bridgewater told the bedside nurse on a Friday afternoon when she called to give a report, ‘that she was not able to return to Bridgewater as they were not able to provide care for her.’ This was news to us as a family as this had NEVER been communicated. Mom remained in the hospital for an additional three days, unwillingly separated from her home, while we worked to find a new facility for her. Bridgewater's apparent "granny dumping" practices were disheartening and further highlighted their lack of compassion and empathy towards their residents' well-being. Finally, we found a new facility for my mother to thrive in. However, Bridgewater's proven negligence caused significant pain and suffering for both my mother and our family. To our dismay, they showed no remorse or willingness to take responsibility for their actions. Management displayed a profound lack of understanding, empathy, and professionalism, while the care staff's inadequate training and communication worsened the situation. The Wellness Director prioritizing her fashion choices over overseeing her staff further exemplified the lack of dedication to resident care and the LIVE WELL philosophy they advertise. I urge future families to thoroughly research and consider all alternatives before placing their loved ones in Bridgewater's care. Do your due diligence, visit at various times, call multiple times, and ensure messages are returned promptly. Bridgewater almost cost us our mother, and their negligent actions should not be taken lightly. To the management and C-Level executives: If you cannot genuinely care for and empathize with the community that counts on you, you have no business running facilities that profess to cater to their needs. Take note, Bridgewater's negligent practices reflect poorly on the Solterra brand.

What I liked best at BridgeWater Assisted Living Deer Valley was the open courtyard that allowed them to go outside and wander around in a larger area. It was totally ramped. I like the entrance area, where they can sit and congregate in an open floor plan that was very large, inviting, and non-clinical in appearance. I like the restaurant area. It looked like a restaurant area and not a cafeteria, so that was good. They unfortunately didn't have a library. Their books were scattered throughout the floor. They didn't have a reading room or anything like that. As far as their security, I wasn't really crazy about the fact that the guest could leave through the emergency exits, and the door is open with a lock (so they could step outside to smoke a cigarette). It kind of worried me because there was no notification when the doors were open. For memory care issues, that didn't really throw me a whole lot. It was an older facility. The rooms were basically a bedroom and a bathroom. It didn't hold the same level. The staff were kind of blunt. They seemed a little burned out.

I really wanted Bridge Water Assisted Living for my brother. It was really modern, and the food was excellent, but I had a lot of problems with the admission staff. The room was nicely appointed, so you actually felt you live in a space instead of a box. I thought it was an excellent, very cheerful, and colorful place. They had a nice crafts room, social room, and an exercise room.
