Rooms are extremely crowded if shared. The staff was nothing but rude and literally yelled at my family members. It was an absolutely awful experience for my entire family. I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone I cared about.

We really liked Waunakee Manor but it's quite a ways from where we live now. It was very clean and it smelled nice. The staff was friendly and open to any of our questions. They showed us all around and we even got to meet the cook, and they showed us the backyard that had a baseball diamond back there. They said people could sit out and watch baseball games in the summer if they like that sort of thing. They showed us one room that was furnished and then they showed us one room that was unfurnished, so we could get an idea of how big the room was. They showed us the dining area. They have a nursing home attached, so if that was needed, that's available there. The dining room was open and there were a lot of tables in there, and they said everybody could come and find a table and get to know the other people. It wasn't mealtime when we were there, so there were just a few people there. They were having a musical performer while we were there and there were a few people there watching. They have a lot of different activities in that area during the afternoon. In their room, they have a small refrigerator to keep snacks and things in and a microwave if they wanted to use it. They had laundry services that they did and housekeeping. The meals were three times a day, so it was something we were looking for. We met the cook and we got a sample menu.

I thought Waunakee Manor was very nice. The people were nice. The facility was nice. The dining room was nice, and there was a nice area for activities with a piano in it and that was good, too. It wasn't as modern as the other facility, but it was still very nice. Everything looked clean, and it looked good. The dining area was large and very, very nice looking. It's almost kind of elegant looking with the chandelier. It was pretty and nice in a special way. It was very attractive. I talked to the receptionist a little bit and she was very nice. The rest of the people seemed nice and friendly, but I just didn't talk to them very much, the ones we run across. The residents were friendly.

Large confusing facility for residents and family. Seems like a giant maze. I get the feeling the residents are bored as most are in their rooms sleeping or watching tv. Food is wheeled into the hallway in a cart where it may sit for quite awhile before anyone comes to pass it out to residents. All staff are very nice but do not spend much time interacting with the residents which leads me to believe they are experiencing a staffing shortage.

We toured Waunakee Manor for my friend. We were very happy with the facility. It had a lot of good amenities. It was clean. The dining area was very clean and looked fine. The room was roomy, and we liked the layout.

Waunakee Manor seemed like a nursing home atmosphere. They didn't have a room that could accommodate my mom and dad both. They wanted my dad to have an adjoining room and then we'd have to pay for two rooms. The staff who assisted me was very friendly and cordial. The rooms weren't very big. The place looks clean and accommodating, with handrails. I think they had some walking paths and they had areas where you could sit outside, and something at a gazebo. My mom is doing rehab there now. They have activities but nothing that she's participating in, and they have bingo.

Waunakee Manor Health Care Center is a community-based residential facility. My aunt has her own room and they come and tell her when it's time to go eat or when there are activities so she can participate. She bathes herself and she dresses herself. They provide the activities in the morning and afternoon, and the food is great. They have a chapel there, there's a Lutheran church, there's a Catholic mass, they bring in bands, and kids from the local school come in and carol around Christmastime. They bring in pets like dogs. The layout is fine. It's always clean. They have a handicap bathroom, and you can bring your own furniture in if you want to. She moved there after her stroke and that's where she was doing her rehabilitation. The staff is very caring. There's memory care also and more assisted living as well. I only saw the rehabilitation portion and where she is now. They go and get them, they bring them out, and they try to keep them geared up for the activities. The pricing is good. It's very reasonable. This is where the hospital placed her.

I think that this is a fine facility. The staff is very friendly and the senior citizens seem to love it there. The food seemed alright. The bedding situations were excellent, comparable to a hotel. Also there were many fun activities to do. Evey one got along and they love to have guests. There was plenty of parking stalls and a lot of friendly staff. I remember helping the senior citizens make cards to their loved ones to tell them how they were doing which was very nice. there are plenty of activities to be had there too. I saw a lot of card playing and chess/ checkers being played. Also there are people that come in to entertain them. like a poka band that comes in for free once and a while as a good will. Overall this is one of the finer facilities i have been to. I wold highly recommend to any one.

I have had a totally positive experience with this facility The Waunakee Manor. My Grandmother is currently living there because her husband my grandfather - died several years ago and she was getting lonely in her home. facility itself is a very nice place with both rooms and apartments for rent. My grandmother's specific apartment is very roomy with a living room, kitchen, bathroom and separate bedroom. The place was not furnished, which was fine because my grandmother enjoyed decorating it herself with some trinkets from her home. Outside of her individual apartment are other apartments with residents of more or less the same age as my grandma. She enjoys spending time with the other residents playing cards and other games. There are many "meeting areas" within the complex such as a nice reading area in the front of the building, and a large room designed for eating, socializing, playing games, etc. The care she receives is also excellent. She has a personal nurse assisting her daily, but they are not too nosy, and let her be besides the daily care. Overall, a very positive experience for my grandmother as far as I have seen.
