Madison Pointe is very nice and has limited choices. Everybody is very nice, the place is clean, and the food is good, fresh, and they don't use preservatives. My parents are happy there. The Monday through Friday staff is wonderful, but it's a little bit less on the weekend. The only drawback is when you go there, you have to flip off a little switch, wait for somebody to come and open the door, and sometimes that takes a little bit of time. It would be nice if they had a keypad or something where if you have people there, there's a code that people could use to come and see their family members. For my parents, the cost is reasonable.

I did a tour of Madison Pointe. We thought it was more friendly. I like that the seniors were out and about in the facility. They have a group meeting room, a dining area. They also have a little TV area, a puzzle area, and have walk-in bath facility. They had hairdressing facilities, where people could make appointments. So, it just covered the basics of what my parents needed. The staff was great, I don't think she's there anymore. There's a kitchenette, and they have studio efficiency and 1-bedroom units. The efficiency was quite large, so we preferred that.

Madison Pointe was smaller and seemed more homier and more caring. The room was pretty clean and bright, and the people that worked there were friendly and cheerful. The staff all seemed cordial like when you pass them in the hallway. Everything looked like it was pretty well-kept and there were a lot of handrails in every hallway. The cafeteria looked very clean and they had an outside area as well with flowers planted. They had a grill with picnic tables, so if you want to have a little get-together with your family, you could do that. It was a good location for my parents because that's the side of town that they live in and familiar with. And it's close to the clinic and close to Wal-Mart and the grocery stores and the pharmacies.

I like Madison Pointe for its activities and I liked how busy it was. It's close to me personally. Since there's a lot of activity, there's a lot of noise, which is a positive thing. I think my mom would really like that. The staff member who gave us the tour was very kind and did a good job. It seems like her heart is in her work. This place really had a small and homey feel to it. I just think that some of the walls and furnishings needed some freshening up; it looked a little beat up here and there.
