My aunt lived at Eagle Crest South. She passed within the last six months, but I was there, and I got to see what they have, and I got to see her room. The facility was also very beautiful and well-managed. When I was there the first time, it was still during COVID, and they followed very strict COVID rules, which was appreciated knowing that the elderly were at risk, so I appreciated that they had certain rules for that. I never had a problem like going in to see my aunt or anything. Everybody was always very helpful. The grounds were beautiful. Her room was perfect for her. It was on the third floor. She had her door decorated on the outside, so it was cute. She enjoyed it. She liked the community feel of it, and that's something she thrived for, and she was a social butterfly, so it was great for her. It was very clean. The people were very friendly. Beautiful grounds. They had a beautiful overlook of the river on the other side. The only thing I didn't love about that location is that it's right next to the hospital, which is great, but the hospital also has a helicopter, and the helicopter is quite loud. They have a courtyard. A lot of the rooms had balconies for the tenants. My aunt had a balcony room, so she could sit outside on our balcony and have coffee or whatever in the morning. They are along the river, so they have like a little trail behind where the Eagle Crest faces that you can walk and be along the river. Then they have a dock where the tenants can go down to and enjoy the river from the dock or go fishing and that kind of stuff down there, which is kind of cool.

My father is a resident of Eagle Crest South. The girl at the front desk is excellent. She answered everything that I ever thought of. They gave my dad a welcome packet with answers to all the questions that I would ever have, and between that and the girl at the front desk, she's been so helpful. It's quiet, clean, and brand new (almost). I think my dad is the second tenant in his apartment since it was brand new. They are quick, like if we need the TV setup, it's the same day set up. It's very easy there. They're accommodating. I know he met some people yesterday. The gal at the front desk kind of steered him in the right direction to meet new people, so he's playing cribbage today at 2:30. My dad really likes cribbage, so there are a few guys getting together for that; but that wouldn't have happened if it weren't for the gal at the front desk. She knew who to call and ask. She's been really helpful when I thought I needed the maintenance guy to come out. She had the answer, she said she's been there since it started, and she's heard all the questions. If she didn't have the answer before, she developed. So now, she has the answer when new tenants have that same problem. I think the cafeteria is closed because of COVID; I'm not quite sure, but I know one time my dad wandered down there and they were serving boxed lunch meals, so he got one of those. They're doing the best they can given the circumstances of COVID. I'm sure, later on, in months and months, the cafeteria will open, and that would be really good for him. They're working through the COVID thing. The facility is clean, nice, and wonderful. I know that gal I spoke with before tried to steer me in directions that I thought I needed. I thought I needed assisted living, and my dad has gotten better, so we didn't need that. But the numbers that I heard about assisted living were double what he's paying now. So, I'm sure there's a range that independent living rent falls in, and I'm sure it's in that range; it's not an outlier, I feel really good about it. I have no complaints because they've come through where I didn't even expect. Even setting up the phone, we got help with that. In setting up the TV, a technician came up and set that up. All these things, a person would never get with a regular apartment leasing company. So, they are really helpful. It's the sort of thing for older people who aren't technology driven. The washing machine is high tech and it's slightly complicated, but they've been helpful through that. The welcome packet has an instruction sheet, and the gal at the front desk knew just what to say in response to my concerns. The only reason I had questions about the washing machine was because I hadn't read the welcome packet, which had a few sheets in there. So, they thought of everything, and they've heard every question.

My mom moved into Eagle Crest South's assisted living in June. So far, I've never had a problem with them communicating with me all the time or if something changes. We're also told if there are COVID-positive people, so it's good. It's a very nice facility, very clean, and the upkeep is very nice. Her room is very spacious. She has her own bedroom, a living area, a tiny little kitchen, and a bathroom. For her, it's just the right size. They offer laundry service, medication management, and three meals a day. The staff is also very professional. The location is, of course, convenient because I'm from that area, so I know my way around. They have a lot of activities and a lot of things on the calendar. My mother is just in the stage where she's not willing to do a lot of things. For what we're paying, I think she's getting a lot more from it than if she would have stayed at home.

My grandmother is moving back into Eagle Crest South. She was in the independent living. I've been there before. The staff is very good, they've been helpful, and they took good care of her. The rooms are clean and nice, the staff is nice, and they have a salon. It's very nice and it looks very good.

My mother is at Eagle Crest South. It is a brand new facility; it just opened up last month. The rooms are fabulous; it’s a 5-star resort. They have all kinds of activities for the people who live there. They have outings; they have a library. They have a beauty parlor, a gift store, and a bar there; there was everything under the sun you could think of. The food is excellent; they have multiple choices in every meal. They have bistros for snacks anytime you want. They have 3 meals a day, which has 5 or 6 choices of what you can eat. It’s one of the nicest facilities I’ve ever been to. They take care of somebody from assisted living until end of life. They even have oxygen set up in each and every room if you need oxygen down the road. It’s a unique facility. They have everything you’ll ever need, and the staff is fantastic.
