I liked Vintage at Vancouver because it's independent living. The people were very friendly and cooperative. The facility was just adequate. They have a courtyard, a salon, a gym, and activities. They also have a garden and walkways.

This is a depressing place to live. It was bad, so they just did a renovation. Now it's worse, and whoever has been in charge of the renovation should be fired. This past summer/winter we were forced to go without any laundry facilities AT ALL for over a week; we couldn't use our deck, and actually had the whole sliding glass door blocked off, so the whole apartment was dark, for 2 months. Tools have been left everywhere, a tripping hazard and an eyesore; and for what? Our newly un-veiled interior is a mish-mash of electric carpeting with a pattern of 10 competing colors, laid down incorrectly and left that way. They've now added furniture that clashes even further with the carpet, is under-sized, and doesn't meet resident needs, and 'artwork' that a cheap pizza joint would scorn. It's now truly hideous inside, whereas before it was merely depressing. This is more than simple lack of taste--this is the cheapest reno job possible, topped with the cheapest furniture possible--and I bet they raise the rent to cover the costs. Of course there are no activities offered at all, and the management isn't responsive to problems or safety issues. Avoid this place if you can afford to.

It was a beautiful complex. The people were great. The apartment was nice. The ambiance in the entire building was absolutely fabulous. There is no other place I would want but Vintage at Vancouver.

The facility was a beautiful place. The amenities were amazing for the residents that live there. They have game nights which included playing cards, bingo, scrabble and much more. They have designed it so the residents can use a community computer for research or whatever they might need. They kept the place so clean and presentable. The staff was exceptionally polite and welcoming to all the visitors that I had seen there. One down side that I had seen is that they all had to share a community wash room. They only had three of them which contained at most three washers and three dryers, which there was one on each floor. I personally feel there should be more for the number of residents that occupy the facility. Other than that I feel it was a very well maintained place that was very open to people visiting their loved ones.
