We've moved into Bonaventure of Vancouver. The bedrooms are a little small, but the living space is nice because it's larger. It's so light and bright all over the facility. It's very, very nice. The food is excellent and the staff members are very, very helpful. We haven't participated in a lot, although they have a lot of activities. It's spotless. The housekeeping is very, very helpful if you have something you need to remove from your apartment, so it's just been excellent.

Rooms are nice but that's it. I have nothing nice to say about this place. When complaints are made and resolution requested, they give lip service to shut you up and /or a blank stare, or denials. The food and meals are gross, they have a constant rotation of new staff, no training for caregivers, etc. They only care about how much money they can soak people for.

I toured Bonaventure of Vancouver. The staff was very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very easy to talk to. They have a lot of amenities. They have a movie theater with a big TV on the wall and very comfortable seating. There's free popcorn, too. They have a pub and a bar, a bistro, and a restaurant-style eating area. The apartment I'll be renting is a one-bedroom, 742 square feet, and it's got a full kitchen, a large bathroom, a big bedroom, and a big living room. They have transportation if you set it up with them. They'll take you to the doctor and back or to the grocery store and back if you want, but you have to make appointments for the ride. Meals are included. The apartment comes with a TV, basic cable, and a free telephone. They have an exercise room and exercise classes and stuff. If you're independent and you get worse, you can just move over to the assisted living and never leave the building. I'm going into the independent living. I called them the other day and told them I wanted to go back to the apartment again because I wanted to look and see where I could put furniture and stuff, so they're very friendly about that. And then they invited me back for Christmas dinner. The place was perfect. A lot of times when you go to senior citizens, it has a smell from the people, but Bonaventure of Vancouver has a nice clean smell to it. It's a new building and it's huge.

The activities at Bonaventure of Vancouver were good. They do day trips and overnight trips, board games, and card games, and they have some garden boxes for the residents to use. So, they have a pretty good range of activities. The dining area was good. The menu had a good variety and the food was also good. The facilities were laid out well and friendly. The apartments were nice and adequate for what we were looking for.

Bonaventure of Vancouver was very nice and very well-organized. The staff there was very nice too. I thought they were a bit on the small side of the apartments, but they were nice. I like that it was easy to move, in case my mom needed memory care or assisted living. It was a newer building so I didn't see any maintenance needs. The dining area was very nice, they had a menu option so it was kind of nice to see. For my parents, it was very costly for them to eat there since they were independent. They were planning on adding some more stuff for outside areas. But right now they have constructed a coffee place going in behind them. I liked this place, it just was more expensive so it wasn't really within my parents' budget. They're still growing, they're still adding stuff because it's a newer senior home in that area. The staff who gave the tour was very nice, they were very well informed on their property. If you ask questions, they help give you the answers.

I went to tour Bonaventure of Vancouver. It was very nice. Hannah took us around, and she was very sweet. They have nice little patios. There's a patio on the bottom and a deck if you're up above. Most places that I've looked at that had patios, they're very small. This was kind of nice and you could very comfortably get two chairs and a table there. I also like that they give you a choice with the meals. You only have two meals a day to pay for, which was nice. I'd rather just have one, but it was better than having all three meals and you don't want them. All the utilities were paid. They had transportation to your doctor or the grocery store and stuff. The dining area was very nice. You have a choice of whether you want breakfast, lunch, or dinner, but you just have two or you could pay for a third meal if you wanted. They had no washers and dryers in the rooms and that kind of bothered me. But they have washer and dryer rooms on each floor. The maintenance looked very nice. The place was fairly new. They have happy hour on Thursday, and they have a little meeting room. It's a little bit pricey, too. The staff who gave me the tour was very sweet and very excited about it.

Bonaventure of Vancouver was very nice, and they seemed to know what they were doing. They were able to answer all of our questions. They seem to really care about the residents. They had a coffee shop, a rec room, a theater, and a gym. They had almost anything a person would want. The bedroom was small, but the bathroom was a nice size. Of course, the assisted living rooms have no balcony or anything. The living room was nice size for one adult. These rooms are completely furnished. We only met one staff, and she was very knowledgeable. They were under Covid at that time, so people were kind of confined to their rooms.

I moved into the Bonaventure of Vancouver. They're very nice people, and I like how helpful they are. It's nice that dinner is part of the package, and they have a lot of things to do. They have bible study, bingo, and a beautician on-staff. It's just a really nice place. The dining room is nice. Everybody has housekeeping once a week to clean your apartment, vacuum, and do the floors. It's very nice and well kept. I have a 1-bedroom, 1-bath, a large kitchen, and a large living room, that's very nice, with vaulted ceilings.

I listed 1 star for Boneventure Vancouver Padden Parkway. My Mother was in Memory Care there. There was a total breakdown in the chain of command. The head Manager along with the manager of Memory Care were told things that need to be done which either were never passed down to the care workers or failed to follow up. My Mother was often taken to the lobby in her wheel chair with no bra, hair not brushed and dried poop on her wheelchair pad. We told the staff many many times that only hard boiled eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast but that seldom showed up in Mom's room. We had to clean the floors when we was finally allowed in when Mom was in Hospice. Most of the care givers had no idea that Mom spent her days in a lift recliner and had no idea on how to operate it. Lifting Mom out and into her wheelchair without the lift engaged caused our Mom great pain. Everyone including the managers were told to keep Mom's door locked. A sign on her door finally went up after one of the residents went into Mom's room and knocked over her 6' curio cabinet with glass shelves and glass collectibles to the ground. Caregivers heard the crash and found the intruder in Mom's bedroom. Mom was in her recliner but as you can imagine, extremely distressed. We are very sorry that we chose this facility for Mom's last of days. We received, of course the great sales pitch which in the long run was just that. They said that they would cover the expenses of the moving company. We wished we had paid for a more expensive mover that were careful and packed up Mom's things with care. Emails were even sent to the CEO and second in command to no avail. In all, a bad experience.
