My mom is in a memory care place called Arbor House. I have not been able to interact with her, I just know through reports, and she is adapting well. That's what we're looking for, that she will be taken care of and not just being by herself, medicating herself and not eating. The staff is excellent. I have not been there to see, but I understand that the food is full balanced meals with snacks during the day to fulfill the needs. In my mom's case, she is diabetic, so they work it out, and they have been providing what she needs. We know that the facilities are adequate. Nothing was out of place. Everything was clean and well kept. Again, I have not seen the activities, but I understand they have a routine with exercise and activities to encourage the residents according to their situation.

We toured the Arbor House of Waco. They gave us a lot of information. They were very kind and supportive. They took us on a wonderful tour of the facility. The facility was not as new and nice as the other one we went to, but it was still very nice. It was clean. I was very impressed with everything in that aspect. That staff was really good. She knew everybody's names and introduced us to people. The people were very friendly, saying hello and saying how much they enjoyed living there. It was very inviting.

The director of Arbor House of Waco was very informative and very nice. When we got there she met us right away. She pretty much answered most of the questions that we had. When we went on the tour through the facility, the residents were in their morning scripture reading, and they were all sitting around. That was nice. The facility was clean and small. I think they have 36 residents, so it wasn't too overwhelming. My husband really liked it. He thinks this would be a great fit for my dad, and they've kept in touch with us, but unfortunately it just didn't work out because Dad is diabetic. The director was excellent. She knew all the residents' names, which was really great. She introduced us to a lot of people right up front by their names. She didn't have to stop and go like, "What was your name?" I really liked her. It's a little bit older facility.

Arbor House of Waco is more convenient for my family so that's where my husband is. I can't recommend them highly enough. They're all very caring, everybody knows them by name, and if I have a concern or question, they're right on it. They take really good care of him and it's like a family. They have cooking classes, bingo, and crafts, but I wish they had more things for men. The food looks delicious, and my husband always cleans his plate. The price is worth what they charge.

Arbor House of Waco was a good place and it was brand-new, but the rooms were pretty small and we had to bring in our own furniture. The food was OK. It wasn't a bad place, but it just wasn't the right fit for us.

We really like Arbor House of Waco, my mom is happy there. Her attitude is so much better now. She has been getting very good care. I know they have different activities there, but I'm not sure what my mom participates in. They always have jigsaw puzzles going on a couple of tables in one area, however, with my mother's macular degeneration, there are a lot of things she can't do anymore. They do serve breakfast, lunch, and the evening meal and the food is good. The staff is fantastic. They're always nice. At the other facility, my mom pushed the button when she needed help, but who knew when anyone would ever come. However, here, their policy is within five minutes there should be someone there with them, and it is always less than five minutes.

I just moved my mom into Arbor House of Waco. The staff was so nice and helpful in the moving process. Mom is loving all of her new friends and the staff. It is beautiful and the rooms are big. So glad we found Arbor House.
