My father has moved into The Delaney at Lake Waco. The staff is great. They're wonderful, and they're very helpful. The facility is excellent. Everything here is very, very extremely nice. The food is good. They have things going on all the time. Like today, they had Christmas carols sing-along. They have someone come in and entertain with guitars and things like that. They have a social hour at 4:00 every day. They had a little Christmas tree giveaway. They're always doing activities. There's an ice cream truck that comes around during the afternoon with root beer floats. The value for money is probably about as good as you can get. None of this is cheap, but I think you do get your money's worth. Everyone makes you feel at home.

The Delaney at Lake Waco was nice. Everything was very clean. Everyone was very nice and professional. The only thing that we didn't like (and my mom would not like, too) is that it's three stories. To eat and everything, you have to come downstairs, and a lot of the activities are downstairs, too. I think having to use an elevator for three stories to get down there would be a little overwhelming for a 93-year-old. But the place is very nice. They have activities and events that go on. The rooms are nice. But I got worn out just going and looking. It's so spread out. Nevertheless, it seemed like a very nice place, and the residents looked happy. For a couple or a single person who wants an apartment instead of a house in a community like that, it would be great. But for an older assisted person, I think it would be too much.

We had an in-person tour of The Delaney at Lake Waco. I can't think of anything negative. Their air conditioner happened to be out the day we were there on one section of it, but it was a rarity. The facility appears to be brand new. Everything was clean. All of the workers were very friendly. The staff took us on the tour. She knew a lot of the residents' names and introduced us to them. She offered us to bring my dad and have lunch or breakfast. She showed us the rooms, the activities that they were doing, and the outdoor area. We toured the whole thing, and it was very nice. We really liked it. The staff member was great. She was very positive. We weren't rushed through the tour. She took her time and showed us all the different things. They have a wall for all the military where they put their pictures up on the wall, and it was really neat. It's a huge building. It's three stories tall. The memory care is on the first floor. It was very clean and seemed to be very organized. When we were there they were all in an exercise class.

When we first got to The Delaney at Lake Waco the lady at the reception was on the phone, which is understandable, but when she got off the phone she asked, "Can I help you?" We said, "We had an appointment to tour the facility today," and she was kind of surprised. My husband was a little put off with that, but once we got in there they were very, very nice. The facility itself was beautiful. It's like a five-star hotel, fancy schmancy, four stories tall. The building itself is beautiful. It was topnotch and clean, but it was the most expensive of all of them. Our little guide lady was the best of all. She knew everybody. She took us everywhere and showed us everything and interacted with some of the people that lived there. She showed us a room that someone had moved out of and that they were fixing up and repainting, and just showed us all the different things that they had. She gave us a complete huge folder with all their activities, which was really nice. That place was great. They've worked with us so hard to try to be able to take care of my dad, but my dad's diabetic doctor had said that the one thing I need to ask these facilities is what is their protocol in the event that my dad's blood sugar either drops too low or it gets too high, and they said, "We've never had that question asked." They called me back and said, "We're so sorry. There's no way we can monitor him in this facility like that." He's pretty much a 24/7 kind of monitoring because of his insulin, but they've been very nice. They offered us to come back to eat food, to come to look at the menu, and to bring my dad and let him eat the food. They were really great.

When I visited The Delaney at Lake Waco, I was very impressed with them. They have a really good facility and have really good services in-house with doctors and physical therapy. They have a very good social environment. I thought the price was on the high side, but it was in keeping with the facility. Their staff was very friendly, and the food was good. I was impressed with that. That is where we would have stayed if they decided to go in. It was a nice dining area, and they had a separate area if you want to have your family in, and that was nice. I saw there were social areas. They have a movie theater, weight room, and where the doctor and the physical therapy people are. They have a gathering area for socializing every evening, and it was all very nice. The facility was in very good shape

We toured The Delaney at Lake Waco for my mother-in-law. I liked that it was a fresh new building, and it's only a few years old. I liked the lake view because it's right there next to Lake Waco. You could see it from the bedrooms that they showed us. I liked the dining area. It was very nice, and the common activity areas were really good. They were nice and has a large enough room for everybody. The staff was extremely friendly. I spoke to several different ones, and they were all very knowledgeable and helpful. It was a great experience, and they offered a lot of indoor and outdoor activities. I think one of the things that I really liked is that they had a rehab available in-house. They have a beauty salon, exercise classes, church services, and a movie theater.

We had an in-person visit at The Delaney. The director and another lady told us all about the place and gave us the brochures too. It was very nice. It was a fairly new place. I think they said they just opened in 2017 so everything was still fairly new, updated, and looked very nice. Everyone seemed very friendly too. We were impressed with the apartment. It had stainless-steel appliances and a granite countertop in the kitchen. It had a carpet in the bedroom and it's a good size room. We saw residents playing cards and reading the paper, but it was on a Saturday so it was kind of a relaxed atmosphere. She showed us the patio and the dining facility and it was very nice. The person who toured us was Mary Jane. She was very nice and friendly.

I've looked into The Delaney in Waco. It's a very, very nice place. The little bit of staff that we met was friendly. We met some of the residents and they were also friendly. The apartments are really nice, but I was a little confused because they have a huge kitchen in them and they provide meals there. I thought, "Why would you have such a huge kitchen for a place that provides meals? Why not take the space and put it into the living area and the bedroom?" That didn't make a lot of sense to me, but it was very nice. It was a bit more expensive though. We did eat lunch there and I was not impressed with their food. I didn't really meet much of the staff, but for the one that we dealt with, she was great. She was very good, very informative, answered all the questions, and I really didn't have to ask a lot because she pretty much told me everything, and that was nice. The facility was very nice and roomy.

Our visit at The Delaney at Lake Waco was very pleasant. We ran into several people that we know who live there. The room that they had available at the time was ironically next to one of my mother's neighbors who used to live across the street. It would have been a good place for her, because it would feel more familiar. The staff members who assisted us with the tour were very nice and pleasant when taking us around, and they were informative. It was a good experience overall. They have activities like music, piano, they have a room with games and puzzles, they have a movie room, a workout room, they have church services, and a variety of different things. It's a very nice place with four floors on one side for independent living and assisted living on another side.

My mom has moved into The Delaney at Lake Waco. It has been great. They provide good food and have crafts that she can do. They have friendly staff. It has all been good. My mom's apartment is a little small but nice. She has been pretty busy moving in, but crafts is the main thing that she has done. The staff members are very friendly and professional. My mom has not had any issues with them at all.

I visited The Delaney at Lake Waco. It just opened. The facilities seemed extremely nice, but the prices were higher than most places. It's a significant difference. The apartments were a plus mark, and they have a full kitchen with granite counters.

The Delaney at Lake Waco was very nice. It was actually brand new, very affordable, and it beat out several other different places. It served the best food out of the five different places we visited, so we were pretty happy about that. It's a several story building, like a giant apartment building, and it has different rooms in different positions. Dad is going into a 2-bedroom, 1 bath, and they're going to assign him a roommate that's compatible with him. They had great people who were very professional, caring nurses, and I believe they really are going to take care of my dad. It has everything you need, including beautiful views. It has an open concept, nice space in the rooms, and multiple dining rooms. They have open-air community spaces, too.
