One of the things that Overture Plano 55+ Apartment Homes said when we moved Mom in was that they would have breakfast from Monday through Friday. However, they stopped doing that. Also the quality of the breakfast is not great, and it's no better than it was before. Another thing is there's high staff turnover and the gate to the community park was most of the time broken. So, I have been a little bit disappointed. Other than that, my mom's room is lovely. The maintenance guy is phenomenal. They're keeping up the place nicely. They have not had any arts and crafts or any activities like they said they would do, but they are having a big social event. The dining area is lovely and really pretty, too.

Although marketed as a 55+ community, these apartments really should be marketed to the 70+ crowd. The apartments and grounds are very nice, it's relatively safe and quiet (except for the occasional loud resident), there are plenty of activities if you are so inclined, and lots of common areas to mingle. BUT, Overture is more of a place for retirees. Everyone I've met is closer to 80 than 55. If you are still working you will find that almost all activities take place during working hours and by the time you can get there after work, the food, wine, class, whatever will be gone or over. The food is nothing to write home about anyway. Continental breakfast (at 9 a.m. - hours after I leave for work) five days a week consisting of prepackaged muffins, fruit, yogurt and the like. The occasional dinners, unless catered, are pretty awful, so I don't bother. You don't get a lot of information when you move in. I got no packet of information or anything like that - just the keys. Could not attend the new tenant meeting because it takes place mid-afternoon and would require taking the afternoon off work (how about having it on Saturday?). Took me over a month to figure out how to connect to the Amazon Hub. Asked several people in the office and couldn't get an answer. That's a problem too. Some of the office staff just don't have answers. Don't waste your time emailing office staff or send queries via the portal. You will be ignored. My biggest concern is with maintenance. Numerous, numerous problems (some very significant) when I moved in took WEEKS to be resolved and several necessary repairs I ended up fixing and paying for myself because I was so frustrated after waiting weeks. My most recent (minor) issue was again ignored for several weeks and then the ticket was closed without repairs being made. Submitted another request and the ticket was closed immediately without repairs being made. No explanation given; office staff has not responded. If you choose to live here, all I can say is good luck.

I toured Overture Plano 55+ Apartment Homes. It was excellent and I just really liked the facility. The staff was outstanding. They were extremely helpful, outgoing, and eager to show me, and made me feel very welcome. It just seemed to be put together nicely, and they've given thought to ease of location. They have a game room, an exercise room, a barbershop, beauty shop, and all those things. The facility is only four and a half years and old and looks like it is brand new. It is located close to George Bush Toll Way, not too far from 75, and there is plenty of shopping around. It is a good location no doubt. They have a courtyard, which was very nicely done, with a couple of barbecue pits as I recall. They have a pool, and it was beautifully landscaped; it was a nice setting.

Overture Plano is a great facility, they have great people, and it's reasonably priced. They have good amenities. They have a nice pool and a nice workout area. The staff member who showed me around was great. She's probably the main reason that I decided to stay there. She's very nice, very informative, and very professional. The apartment was very clean, nice, modern, well furnished, and had everything I needed.

Overture Plano is on my shortlist. It's strictly independent. It was clean, it was friendly, it looked like they had nice facilities, it was conveniently located, but parking may be an issue. They have garages, but there aren't necessarily one per household. They primarily have breakfast, but they don't do all the meals. They put out some fruits and snacks for happy hour. They have social hour two days a week. They have kitchens in all the apartments. They have a swimming pool, a little gym facility, and a library. It seemed to be very well maintained and nice appearance wise.

Overture Plano was a brand-new establishment. It was very nice and I would love to live there, but it's quite expensive. It's beautiful, it's large, and they have a lot of activities going on. Everything was outstanding about that place. They have a large room for gatherings and dining, a bistro bar on the first floor, rooms for private meetings, a library and gaming room, a spa for hair and nails, a fitness center, you can bring your dogs (but no more than two), there's a pool, demonstrations in the kitchen on how to cook, and a concierge. The staff member was very nice, took her time explaining everything to me, and took me up to the room to see what it would look like. It was just a very good experience.

Overture Plano is a really nice place and I feel really positive about it. It has the things that I like. They don't serve meals, but they have a very nice community feel, which is what I was looking for. They have several activities going on and places to hold those activities. The apartment is small and the layout is a definite drawback. The staff member who gave me the tour was very nice.

I liked Overture Plano because it was brand new and beautiful. We looked at a couple of good, clean two-bedroom apartments. The catch was that there's very little parking. The person who gave us the tour was very informative.

Overture is really pretty and ultra modern but a little bit expensive. It was beautiful and fantastic. They had nice apartments and tons of amenities like pools, gazebo, exercise, and arts room. It was brand new but definitely not for someone needing extra care.
