The Sunrise of Plano is a nice place. It's one of the nicest places around, but it's too expensive. My mother-in-law has been in assisted living since January. The place is great. It's awesome, there's nothing wrong with it. Her room is fine, it meets her needs. It's just like every other place, but just a little bit nicer and with excellent service. The staff is also excellent. I've heard the food is excellent too and the dining area is nice and restaurant-style. For activities, they have movies and games

Sunrise of Plano was very nice, but I think the turnoff for my aunt there was they had a dog that lived there, and she didn't like that. Their dining hall was beautiful, and the residents were very nice. The rooms were nice. They had a variety of choices. They had different floors for different levels of care. The atmosphere was very nice. People were out and about. They seemed to be involved in activities and things. The staff during the tour was excellent. She kind of gave us information that we didn't know before in terms of what to look for in a facility. They offered us a beverage and it was delicious. It was like a vitamin water. When my aunt left they gave her a goodie bag, and it had fresh bread in there. The staff told us their company started this whole process of assisted living many, many years ago, so they are the initiators of having assisted living or independent living for elderly people.

The place has a very homey feeling. The staff is very caring and there are quite a few activities; however, the food is not good. There isn’t enough and it’s not high-quality. The prices go up but nothing improves in the menu. My mom loves everything else about it but I wish she was somewhere else so that her nutritional needs were being met.

We toured Sunrise of Plano. We liked the accommodation. We liked the amenities they had. The personnel were very nice. You feel at home when you walk in there the way they have it decorated and laid out. We like the surroundings very much. We like the rooms. The rooms were nice and bright. Everything there was very nice. For activities, they had arts and crafts. They showed us the beauty salon. They showed us where they have their happy hour and where they have their movies. They have a very nice theater set up there. Austin, who was the director, was very nice and very helpful.

I toured Sunrise of Plano. The staff were very responsive because when I walked in, they offered me water. The person that was supposed to take me around came quickly after I signed in. She came to get me, and we took a tour. She showed me what a one-bedroom would look like. We also toured the area where the residents eat and where they have games and different kinds of activities. The area looked clean to me. The staff was knowledgeable about the facility, and she was able to tell me approximately how much it would cost me for a one-bedroom apartment. She let me know the kind of meal plan that they have, and that I can sign up to have two meals a day. Some residents choose not to have their meals prepared by the facility, and that they do their own meals themselves. I think the one-bedroom would be enough for one person. I need to clear down all my excess luggage, but the one-bedroom would be enough. When you walk in, you can see a kitchenette area where you can cook a little bit and a refrigerator. On one side, you have an area where you can do your laundry, and then the bedroom on the other side. The dining area was clean. They have an area where you can get coffee. The staff told me you can get coffee or water all day long. If I needed lunch, I have to order it and she showed me the menu that they have on the wall. We went to what looked like a gym room and we saw one of the residents walking on the treadmill because it was hot and apparently, I don't think anybody wants to be walking outside. For people that are very active, maybe the equipment they have in the room will not be enough. Right now, I have three different kinds of activities that I do, and I don't know if that kind of equipment would be in alignment with what I need. I would probably have to have a gym outside to meet my needs. I didn't get to see residents doing any activity except for the person that was walking out on the treadmill. But the staff explained that they had a craft room and people would come and walk with the residents.

We liked Sunrise of Plano. It's very affordable and the people were friendly. The apartments have their own appliances and a full kitchen. The staff was very helpful and very knowledgeable. I didn't eat there, but I know they have food. They have nice grounds because it's a mature facility.

Sunrise of Plano was very clean, very organized, and very well managed. It didn't look like a nursing home. If you can get around, need assisted care, can get to the dinner table, and that sort of thing, then I think it is a great place. They escorted me around and showed me the room. The room was nice. It's like an upscale hotel room with a private bathroom. They frequently come in and check on the residents to take care of their needs. This is the best it's going to be and for us, and it was close. It's right across the street from us. It's very convenient. It seemed like a hotel. I only met with the manager. He was very, very polite, very conscientious, and very customer oriented. He showed me menus. He was a really nice guy. He took me around and showed me everything and anything I wanted. He took me outside. We walked around in the garden. Based on the way everything was laid out and organized, it is probably a good place to be.

When my Mother and Father went to Sunrise of Plano in 2015 they received excellent care. But, that care was short lived. During the past few years the management has changed and they no longer care about their residents. Both of my parents suffered from broken bones from falls. My Father passed away shortly after his episode. My Mother is struggling now and we are faced with hiring our own private sitter if we want her to receive any care whatsoever. Sunrise cares about one thing, profit. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Sunrise of Plano was clean and had very tight security. People were friendly and very helpful. It's just a smaller community. The staff was very nice. The dining area was also nice, open and clean. It just didn't meet the needs of my dad.

Sunrise of Plano was a well-run place. It looked very comfortable. The people were smiling which meant to me that they liked where they are. It is a complete facility because it has independent living, assisted living, and memory care. We got good information. We were very impressed with what they had. We have a friend that is there in their independent living part and she's been there several years and her husband at one time was in memory care, so I know a little bit about that place already. When we went there, we were looking primarily at the assisted living part. We tried the food several years ago. When we were looking for an independent living place, we visited there, and the food was fine. They provided us with a meal one time and we enjoyed that very much. We've had other friends that have been there and they all have said that the meals are very good. We only dealt with a couple of people on this visit, and they were informative and helpful. The follow-up with the staff was good. They gave us good information. The facility was very nice.

I personally liked Sunrise of Plano. The lady decided to show us the independent living and assisted living portion. I think at that time, we had only seen the independent living facility. I thought that the rooms were a decent size. For what my mom would need, it might be a little bit smaller than what she's got right now. She can get from her room to the dining room. It's on the same floor, and it's just down the hall. On the first floor, they have some little balconies, like a patio thing that you can go out. They had a place where they have a garden. The staff was very friendly. They just painted the outside not too long ago. They gave us a calendar to look at, and it was kind of general. They said they have games. They have activities around the holidays. They do like celebration things, which I like.

Sunrise of Plano was OK. It's an older building. They were extremely expensive, I think it was between four thousand, five thousand dollars a month. The location is good because we live in the Plano area, but their apartments are a lot smaller, so it's pretty expensive just to have a 300 square foot apartment. It wasn't as diverse. Other than that, we didn't care much for it. The staff was nice, kind of pretty firm on pricing, they didn't try to meet in the middle, other than that, they're OK. It was clean.

Sunrise of Plano was a lovely facility. If you're looking for a pool, they don't have one, but they have three levels of care and the apartments were very nice, spacious, and laid out very well. The staff seemed to be very attentive as well.

I toured Sunrise of Plano and the staff was pretty nice. Even though my budget is way off, he stayed there and showed me around, and explained to me what they do. I gave him some scenarios and he explained to me in details what they'll do. The place was very clean and well cultured. I really liked it, but the price is not really a fit for us. It did seem very comfortable. When I walked in the assisted living and the memory care level, there were ladies and gentlemen sitting there and entertaining; it felt very nice. In the memory care, when I got there on the floor, the patients were in one place and listening to someone saying something, like teaching something. The atmosphere was very nice and very warm. The place was well kept and organized.

My wife and I visited Sunrise of Plano, and it was OK. I won't rate it "bad," and I won't rate it "superior;" it's kind of in the middle range. It's an older property, but they didn't have a lot of updates in the apartment. The room that we looked at wasn't repainted or anything, and the facility is maybe five or six years old. But Laura was really good. She gave us a lot of information, and she was very helpful.

We went to Sunrise of Plano. We were able to go to one unit, and it had an exterior opening, which was what my parents liked, rather than a long hallway, but because of COVID we couldn't go see the property, we couldn't see the common spaces, or the dining. The apartment itself was nice, but we didn't get a real feel for the community. The outside appearance is lovely. Carla was the person who took us into the apartment and was very nice. She called and followed up, so everything has been very nice, very pleasant, and no red flags. The unit we saw was pretty, the layout was good, it had a big porch which my dad liked.

Some of the Sunrise of Plano facility itself is newer and some is older. They're well-kept. I interacted a little bit with the person showing me around, she was very helpful. They were an older facility, but it was clean.

My mother has adjusted pretty well at Sunrise of Plano. She has had some health issues since she has been there, but as far as their care, they're doing just fine. She started in assisted living, but now she is in memory care. They have a doctor who comes once a week and a nurse from his office comes another day once a week. It is working out pretty well. The people who take care of her, the food, and her apartment are all good. They have entertainment each week, and they have group activities as well.

I liked Sunrise of Plano a lot and I really prefer the continuum of care option. My experience there was very good. The atmosphere was upbeat, and the staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and long-tenured. The rooms were clean and had everything you could imagine you would need. The landscaping was very beautiful. They had exercise classes, crafts, games, and movies.

Sunrise of Plano is a beautiful facility and the people are very friendly. I chose it for my sister because of its location to my home. I feel the level of care that she was put in to is not matching her needs, and I have concerns about the long-term plan. She likes the food. They have activities posted, but every time I've gone up there, she's been in her room all by herself in the dark. I have asked them to go by and make sure that she's included in those activities and that does not seem to be happening. The daily walk that they're supposed to go on does not happen more often than it should. They put her on the level 2 care plus medication management, but all I see is that they're giving her, her pills and she's in her room the rest of the time.

We chose Sunrise for Mom; it's very neat, clean, and odorless. The staff was very knowledgeable, and the residents in the memory care were very well-cared for, and happy. They do a lot of travelling offsite to restaurants and activities locally. My mom loves the food, and I've been to Christmas dinner there. It's very expensive, but you get a lot for what you pay for.

Generally, very friendly staff, but place doesn't live up to the standards, as far as I'm concerned. For what I pay (parents), they really don't care most of the time. Food is mediocre, and dining service is not good. Many times, I feel residents are not bathed properly. I know there has been some turnover with high level staff there, but not acceptable.

We had a tour at Sunrise of Plano. Their dining was a bit restricted due to the scheduled dining times that they had. It was smaller place, so if someone is looking for a small place with good-sized apartments, then this one would be good. They provided a washer and dryer.

Sunrise is a very nice facility. It's our second choice -- partly because of location -- and we were looking for a first-floor facility with direct access outside because we have a dog. It's a beautiful facility, and they accommodate pets.

The closets at Sunrise of Plano are a little small for me, so I didn’t care for that because I need a larger closet. The establishment is probably about 10 years old or so, and the place is very quiet. I had lunch with a nice couple, and it was pleasant. They have a pool table and art center, but nobody was there. The tour guide was very nice.

Sunrise was one of the nicest places I went to; however, there were no vacancies. I loved the colors they used, and the apartments they showed me were nice. They seemed to have a good social program going, the lunch wasn’t quite as polished as the others, but the facility was good.

My loved one will move into Sunrise of Plano. It's very good, and I had a very favorable impression. The staff appeared to be very good. I have heard good things about it previously, so I would recommend them. One of the key things about it is it's very convenient for us, but it has transitions and different types of care that can be provided to be able to transition when the time would come and that was very important for us without having to move her a long distance away. They had a good food package that was very reasonably priced.

Sunrise of Plano is acceptable as far as the pricing goes. What impresses me is the friendliness of the people and the residents. My parents' room is just about the right size. It could use a little more closet space but other than that, it's fine. The food is decent, and they like it.

This was the first senior living facility my parents stayed at. They are both deceased now, but they really enjoyed their time at Sunrise in the Independent living area. Unfortunately my mother's ailment required them to move an assisted living facility, which Sunrise has, but it was too expensive for us. If you can afford a place like Sunrise it is a good option to consider since they have independent, assisted, and memory care apartments all at the same location. The amenities and location are really good too. Staff was great as well.

My mother is living at Sunrise of Plano. It is clean, bright, and cheerful. She has a standard one-bedroom apartment, which is something you can find anywhere. I have not eaten there, but the residents can select their own meal. They have bingo, mahjong, and a happy hour every Friday. They also bring in a church service every Sunday afternoon.

It was wonderful, and the people seemed happy. It was clean, and they had a lot of amenities. It was well built and beautiful. They had a library full of books that they could borrow and plots of land outside where they could have their little plot of land and put flowers or herbs. There was a card room where people were interacting. I was very impressed. The selection of food looked like in a four-star restaurant. I looked at the two-room unit, and it was beautiful. I was impressed the most with the safety measures such as in the shower, if somebody falls, there's the emergency pull. The cafeteria benefits if someone needs an additional shot every week, you can do that for a little bit of extra money. When people leave and they come back, they have to sign in. If the people aren't in their apartments, they will start calling family to find out where they are. Sunrise of Plano is a place that I would go to. And if you get to the point where you need assisted living, you already know a lot of the people. They have Alzheimer's/memory care unit too. They had bingo, card games, movie nights, bus trips, and last Friday night, they had a singing group to entertain. They had a whole month planned out of activities for the people.

Sunrise of Plano was very nice but overpriced for what I was able to afford. However, it was very high-end. It was newer. It was like a four-star hotel. The facility was divided up into two major sections, assisted living and long-term stay. The prices were according to whatever you needed, like if you needed assistance with medication distribution. They had a lot of stuff. They had good exercise. They had good activity calendars. It was a beautiful facility and it was pretty new, but it was outside my price range. Their apartments were a lot nicer. What I saw there was that you had to bring in certain pieces of your own furniture or rent pieces of furniture. The people were as nice there too, but the other ones were more reasonably priced.

Sunrise was a beautiful facility and it was beautifully decorated. They have apartments with kitchens, but they only serve two meals a day. The people working there were very helpful and very pleasant to talk to. It was a lot larger for my mother though, and a little bit out of her price range. They had a ton of activities; there’s always something going on all the time. It was a place I wouldn’t mind living and I was very impressed with the facility.

The person who gave us the tour at Sunrise of Plano was absolutely outstanding. She was great. The facility is really nice and clean and pretty spacious. Their dining room is pretty big. I really don’t have anything bad to say about this place besides it was just a pretty busy community. I walked in and it just looked very big. I could see that the layout would be a little overwhelming for her. They have a lot of activities going on and there are a lot of times that I thought maybe she should have gone there because of their activities. They have some ice cream nights, some movie nights, and they also have some people that come and play the piano. They definitely have some church services on Sundays and some Bible studies. Overall, I think the staff seemed really good.

I choose Sunrise Senior Living for my mom because I like their director Celes and the place has a homey atmosphere. I also like how the facility is furnished and clean. My mom likes the food. My mom is in a studio and it has a refrigerator, a little sink and a combination of bedroom and living room. Her bathroom is ADA accessible. They have a number of activities and it is really important for my mom to have a lot of activities. Some of their activities are bingo; they have music a lot of musical groups that comes in; they have different discussion groups on currents events; they also have a ladies' group talk about things.
