My mother has moved into The El Dorado. She has been there for two months now. I highly recommend it. Everybody is very friendly there. She loves her room. We got her room all decorated. She loves everything about it. The people there are nice. The staff is nice. The food is good. They have activities. She's been participating in activities. They have jewelry making, and that's what she likes to do. They have a hair salon, but she doesn't go there because I do her hair, and she is with me on the weekends. The price is good, too.

I lived at the El Dorado. When I moved in there it was a five, and when I moved out it was a two. it was wonderful when I moved in. They had new management in the last year or two. They redid the place. They took out all the comfortable furniture and put in the extreme modern hard furniture. They were allowing people to live in there that needed assistance, and it was no longer an independent living. Everybody was talking about how it was becoming an assisted living. The staff at first was wonderful. They lived on the premises and the corporation moved them off the premises, and then new staff came in and they were not as close to the residents as the old staff had been, and they didn't listen when the residents had opinions about the facility. They let the place go down. They couldn't keep maintenance people. The manager was pretty good. The food quality has gone down, too. They kept saying everything got expensive. They started doing buffet style, which some of the people had trouble getting up to the buffet line. The common area was really nice when I first moved in there. They had comfortable sofas and Norman Rockwell pictures on the walls and the halls and everything. They put up all those extreme modern pictures and the extreme modern furniture, the little tables, and the hard chairs, and everything. There was no longer comfortable furniture in the atrium area. The activities went downhill. We used to have wonderful entertainers and had several a month. They got to where maybe they had one or two, maybe three a month. They didn't have an activity person that was conscious of the activities and the sensitivity of the residents there. It was the residents' home and a lot of them didn't feel that it was anymore. They had the locked rate available for some people, which some people took advantage of, which was great. If they didn't take the value of the locked rate, the prices kept going up, and people felt like for what they were getting, it was not the right amount.

I was impressed with The El Dorado. I like the place. They were very helpful. They explained things to me. We sat down and talked about how I could afford it. They were just nice people. Any questions I had, they answered. The place was clean and very well maintained.

The El Dorado was very nice. It's simple, but it has most of everything that you need. The people that live there are very happy. They all say they love it there. They're very, very welcoming residents. The person who gave us a tour was excellent. We ate there. The food was very good. We saw two rooms and they were fixing them, but they seemed nice. They have a room for a little machine for you to do some exercise and a little library and things like that. I like it. The feeling of being there was very nice, very peaceful, very friendly, and beautiful. The facility was clean and spacious.

I moved into the El Dorado. I haven't been here that long, but it looks like the place is clean. It's a fairly small facility. I think the number of residents is slightly lower than 100, which is good. The food, so far, has been great. The people who run this place, the manager and the sales manager, both of them are super. They have helped any problems that I've run into, like little minor things in the room when I moved, and they have been taken care of. So, I'm very pleased and very happy with the decision I made. I chose this place because of the appearance and the neatness of it, and that's what drew me to it. Plus all of the amenities - all utilities, cable TV is furnished, and internet is furnished. It's got a lot of nice amenities that will help. I have a one-bedroom apartment. They have studios, and I think they have two-bedroom apartments. For me, it's very convenient. I'm close to my mailbox, I'm close to food, and I'm close to the washing area.

I visited this facility with thoughts of meeting needs for my mother. I was very impressed with facility, staff and value. Unfortunately due to very specific nutritional needs I don’t think think this is a match for my 90 year old mom. I think that El Dorado would have been a great match 5 years ago before special feeding became an issue.

The rooms are a nice size and can be decorated nicely. The staff is friendly and caring. Easy to get to know and talk to about any concerns. The residents are really nice also. Many fun activities are offered that help the residents meet others and make friends like bingo and live music. And the meals are quite tasty. My favorite is the fried fish.

The El Dorado was very nice, the staff was nice, they were getting the Christmas things down, and they're very informative. The apartments were nice, a lot more closet space, with individual air conditioner. Some were more updated than the others, but all were nice sized, the bathrooms were very big, and wheelchair accessible. The dining room was great, nice size, we just had a snack there, and the food tasted average. It appeared to be active, a lot of the people I saw were active, definitely independent, and they seemed to interact a lot with the staff and other residents.

My dad is in El Dorado independent living. He is in an efficiency room. He has his own bath, a kitchenette, and a patio. They have a pool table, card games, bingo, and they have an auction next month. They have everything, and I like the staff a lot. They even remember my name, and I only come once a week. There is a park across the street, a senior center less than half a mile away, and a couple of fast food restaurants a couple of miles away.

The staff at The El Dorado were friendly and my mother was happy there. It was just apartments for the residents. The food was good and they had plenty of activities like bingo and outings, although she did not do any of them. I would recommend this place to other people.

At El Dorado, the place was really nice looking. We saw the apartments and they looked really nice. We like them, but we're looking for assisted living facilities.
