The Bridgemoor at Desoto was beautiful. It's refreshing. I loved how the apartments were set up. I could see myself living there. The residents were very welcoming. The lady that did the tour was so friendly and so helpful. She took her time with me and showed me all the amenities. One group had a movie going, while others were playing chess. I knew a couple of guys that lived there from my church who were having a chess tournament. The way they were watching movies and where they had a popcorn machine over there was really neat. The food was to die for. They also had a concierge and I saw how maintenance cleaned the place up. It was just perfect.

The apartments at The Bridgemoor at DeSoto were nice. They're just small for what I'm looking for. It was a two-bedroom with a study, I think that's what they call it, and some of them have attached garages. I like that because it is like a form of security for me to be able to get out of the car and go into my house from the garage. I like the fact that you could interact with other seniors your age. I don't need special care like people to deliver food and stuff with me. They have a theater where you could go, a place where you could use the computer and stuff if you need to, and a place where senior women could go and get their hair done right there on site. If you don't have transportation, they take you to the grocery store. They have games and stuff. So to me, those are all good amenities to have, especially for seniors like myself who are getting older and who may not have transportation, even though I do. So, that's some of the things that they offer there. They also have a place where you could get together to watch movies and have popcorn. They have a pool. I thought it was a very nice facility. I liked it. I just think that the apartment itself is a little small and I don't like the high rent. The rent was just too high. The property was kept up very well. The person who toured me was very professional and very knowledgeable about her property, what was available, and what wasn't. She didn't have anything available from their two different places, and they have a two-year waiting list so far.

I went to the Bridgemoor at De Soto. I just looked at the outside and the grounds and basically they showed me the floor plans and then the recreational areas where they congregate to have different kinds of meetings and parties and things of that nature. I didn't go into any of the apartments. This is all one story, and it's in a gated community area. They have facilities where you can park. The staff was very nice. They tell you upfront don't waste your time. It has to be a month or annually before you can qualify to even get in there. It would be based on your income and your credit status. They're remodeling the rooms and bringing them up to the quality of today's style of living, open concept, and putting in new carpet and stuff like that. The grounds were kept very nicely and it's your responsibility to keep your own area clean.

I'm living in The Bridgemoor at Desoto. I like the layout and the single story cottage apartment. It is what I was looking for. I felt that the cleanliness was good, and there were no problems with that. The staff has been pretty good. They are helpful and friendly. If we have an issue, they usually take care of it in a timely manner. They don't have a dining area because it's an independent active living. They offer things like cards. They have a place where you can make things. In the summer, there are aerobics. That is all they have right now. I wish they had more, but COVID kinda knocked out a lot of things. When I first got here they had yoga, but not anymore. They have a salon and a swimming pool. You can barbecue. There is a place for parties that you can rent. Compared to other facilities, this is where we ended up staying because of the price.

I visited Bridgemoor at DeSoto. It's more up-to-date. I lived there before, and it's just a great location for me. It has different staff than when I was there, and they weren't as friendly. They had a beauty shop, and they offered their clubhouse for parties. They had a bus tour when you want to go shopping or whatever.

I've been a resident on this property for 8 years. The space is perfect for me, office staff is amazing and very proactive. Custodial is very friendly, professional and quick to resolve problems. The grounds are kept, very little if any unnecessary interruptions. If I had one complaint, it will be the parking. Whoever developed the property did not plan for each resident.

I was really impressed with The Bridgemoor at Desoto. I live in Cedar Hill, so it would be very convenient for me to live there. The staff member who took me on the tour was real nice. She said she would put my name on the waiting list for a two-bedroom with a little nook on the side. They're apartment type homes and it's all on one floor. They also have a one-bedroom, and I may go that route. They have a big dining area and a pool where they have aerobics. It's a nice and clean facility.

I really did like Franklin Park because they had different sizes available, and it was also more affordable. It was really geared towards independent living, and it was more of what I was looking for. However, they didn’t have any vacancies at the time. That was something that my husband was more interested in. The grounds were very well maintained, and the community looks nice; it’s like a little community within the surrounding community. That would appeal to us more because of the ability to have more independent living. The person that was available was very helpful, and she answered my questions.

All were great at Franklin Park. The people are friendly and caring, and it's a good place to live in. I like all their amenities. They could improve their parking area by providing more space.

Franklin Park is a very nice and pleasant place to be. The surroundings are very nice. They offer activities for people who are at home during the day. Overall, it's a nice facility to live in. I've been here for two years now and I think communication could be improved. I think we should have more input with the things they decide; parking is really a problem here, and I don’t think they value our opinion about things.

I visited Franklin DeSoto and I liked it. They got everything else I was looking for. It's a single level home with a nice patio, hardwood floors. They have a gym and walking trails.
