I've lived here at the Blake in Kingsport for 16 months and it's almost like being on vacation. Everything is clean, the food, on average, is easily 4 Stars. It's quiet. There are many fun activities which include games, going to restaurants, grocery stores and places of entertainment. When I need assistance, a nice young person will come within 3 or 4 minutes. But the thing that I like most is having friends that I see every day while eating in the dining room or playing games such as my favorite - Bridge. I never get lonely the way I did before moving here to the Blake.

I toured The Blake at Kingsport. It was a very good tour. The staff was very good and gave us a very thorough tour, and introduced us to some of the other staff. One thing I was impressed with was all their amenities. They got fitness rooms and a hair and nail salon. They have a lot of activities. They do the laundry for you. It seems like they were more thorough in what they offered. The room size I was looking at was nice. They have a very nice dining room.

The Blake at Kingsport was very nice and very clean. I really was impressed with it. Everything was very modern, well kept, and very spacious. It was very large. I had a sandwich. Everything you could think of was there: a library, a movie theater, a chapel, and an exercise room. It had a bar that served alcoholic beverages, if you're interested in that. If you've got plenty of money, I recommend The Blake.

Unfortunately this facility is not able to take people with physical disabilities. I would have preferred that we have been turned down rather than moved in and had to move out. Evaluation process of residents should be either more thorough or request for ADA complaint modifications be provided before we were required to be moved out. Obviously the process is to then send residents to rehabilitation when the initial evaluation is not done thoroughly. Then rehabilitation is quite dramatic. And then told to move out. Quite arduous. Beware of this before you move in.

I visited The Blake at Kingsport for my mom. It is very, very costly, but it is very nice. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable; I only spoke with two different people. We did not get to try the food, but it looked very good. We got to look at sample menus and it was above and beyond what you would normally find. It was very clean and well-maintained. I saw two rooms that were available to be used and the maintenance and cleanliness was very good. I know they have transportation available for their guests, and they can take them to do different things. I also know they have activities within the facility. I don't know a lot of the details, but I know they offer a lot. The dining area was very large and open, and they had many tables, so it was not like they were sitting in large groups of people at tables, it was more so two to four people at the most. It was very bright, and the area was all light and windows, and it was inviting.
