Morningside of Lexington was very nice. Everybody was very helpful. The staff was very professional and answered all my questions. It was very nice and neat. It had everything my mother would've needed. They have bingo, and they provide transportation. The atmosphere was very nice. Everybody looked happy and satisfied and seemed to be enjoying themselves there.

Morningside of Lexington was very nice. The person who accommodated me was very professional. The dining area looked clean and the apartment was nice. However, the place would not meet my fiance's needs. Overall, the community was friendly. The atmosphere felt warm, friendly and welcoming.

I really liked Morningside of Lexington. It just didn't seem like the room was going to be big enough for my mother. I didn't want it to seem like a hospital room. I wanted something that had a little more space. They have some bigger areas towards the front, but it was getting too expensive. It was very nice and I liked the people there. I just didn't like the room size. The staff, the food, and everything else seemed really great. It appealed to me.

I talked with the director at Morningside of Lexington, and I think he has to learn some more people skills. They were in the middle of remodeling, so I didn't get a true assessment of their grounds. I had visited someone there before and I was impressed with their grounds. I liked that it's smaller because in a small environment, I would get to know people easier and better. I was shown the facility and they covered most everything I was interested in. It was a good meeting. They showed me some rooms and they would be adequate for my needs and seemed clean. I saw some people sitting in the main area. I didn't see any formal activity going on at the time, but the residents seemed interested and engaged with each other. The dining room looked attractive. It's a little bit less expensive, but they don't offer many amenities nor have progressive care.

My mother-in-law is on the list to get into Morningside of Lexington. We all observed a warm, friendly environment where it seems like the people who already live there were a cohesive group. The one time I visited, they all came out as a group to go to dinner as opposed to just people wandering around on their own. My mother-in-law said that they were there to greet her when she came in the door. Not only was the staff there to greet her but the residents were, too. She sat for about an hour and talked to one of the residents who had a very beautiful place and was very happy with it; she enjoyed talking with her. The rooms were very nice. Each of their doors had their own personalized greeting whether it was flowers or a picture and some of them even had a little statue outside their door. Inside the rooms was all personalized, too. It felt like it was a true home environment and they were very happy about being there. It seemed to be a little bit more expensive but had a lengthier waitlist. One thing we observed was the way the community was positioned from the road so that the driveway was a little bit longer and had trees on both sides. You feel like you’re going home more there. When you first see the community, you see the front porch with the rocking chairs, so right away, my mother-in-law had a good feeling.

we moved our mom & dad in here a month ago. They are very happy. They rave about the food and the staff. Dad has dementia and was failing but since moving in here he has done a 180 turn around. He is doing great. Mom is getting more energy since she can rely on the staff to care for Dad and she can take some time for herself. We looked all over west columbia and lexington for a place and this was the absolutely perfect place. It doesn't look like an institution like many of the others I visited and the residents are happy and all 'hang out' on the front porch and talk and laugh. Most of the staff have been there for years and the director Brenda is fabulous. We love it. If you are looking for a place come here. It's wonderful!!!!!!!!

I like Morningside, but at that point I wasn’t sure that’s what I wanted to do. The rooms, and the people were very nice. They have exercises, some of the people were playing Wii games, and a couple were working on puzzles.

Morningside of Lexington was definitely my favorite place and would be our choice for a place. It was clean, the staff was very friendly and very accommodating, and most importantly, the residents appeared to be very happy there. Several commented to us about how happy they were there. They had a cake in the oven baking when we walked in, and it smelled wonderful. The residents all said the food was good. The dining room was beautiful. They had outside people that come in and entertain occasionally. They had movie nights, games, a library, computers, a very nice common area, an activity room, and an outside courtyard.

Morningside was nice, but I like apartment living more. It was a pretty large community. The rooms were updated and were very nice. They had a microwave, a small fridge, and a coffee pot, but you couldn’t cook. The food was good and the dining area was set up like a hotel.

Morningside of Lexington was a lot smaller facility. It was nice and clean. The best thing about it was that it was very close to my children and my church. However, they didn't exactly have everything that we wanted. They had rooms but they didn't have outside apartment, so we left. We weren't very interested with it anymore. As far as activities, they had about the same activities as others, but this type of facility didn't have a recreational room. However, their dining room was very nice.

My friend has been at Morningside for four years and quite happy. It was closer to my home, it was a smaller environment, and we've heard good things about them. I think the price is a little over average. They have bingo and other group activities geared towards older group. The food is good.

I visited Morningside of Lexington. It is a very nice total-care facility. They have very friendly people. The lady who showed me around was nice. The sheriff there talked to me and gave me a brochure of the place. Generally, the staff was very efficient during my tour. The apartments they showed me were rather small. However, the apartments not connected to the hospital were very nice and very unique. They also had nice kitchens.

My mom was at Morningside of Lexington and it was a wonderful place. It had a very nice atmosphere and the people were very nice. The staff were great and they had their own chef. She had a small kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave, a bath and it was very nice. However, my mom had Alzheimer's and she was unhappy because sha was not in her home. But I liked everything in the facility and I would recommend it to others.

This assisted living facility was not as bad as some I have seen. The staff was nice and willing to meet the needs of the patients. When we would visit they always had something going on for the elderly to participate in. Every nurse that we came in contact with was very nice. Their was one incident when my husbands grandmother had fallen and had bruises. The facility called to let the family know what had happened as soon as it occured. That was greatly appreciated. Also they had respect for the patient. When they were being changed, the doors were shut and they had privicy. I do believe that my grandmother in law was well taken care of before she left us and would love to be in needed placed in a assisted living facility as good as this one when the time came.In my opinion this was a great place to live your last days.
