The room that my mother has at Mrs. Bush's is really very nice. It's large and they're allowed to decorate it any way they want. She is in a corner room, so there's a window on each wall, which I really like. The people are very nice and very accommodating. I've eaten there and the food was very tasty. They have exercises, bingo, different kinds of games, church services, and a library. I'm very pleased with it.

I was at Mrs. Bush's Assisted Living Facility (Mrs. Bush's Personal Care Home I - Chestnut Ridge Home). It was very clean. The staff was very nice. What I liked about it was they have therapy dogs. They definitely have therapy dogs that go around and visit the patients, and everybody loves the dog, so I thought that was very nice. The staff I met there was very, very knowledgeable, very nice, very helpful, and she answered any questions that I had. They were highly rated as well, because my mother's family doctor recommended them. Everyone that I talked to that knew about Mrs. Bush had said that it was a fantastic place, the care was very good, and the staff was very good. The grounds were very nice. The building was very nice. It was a really, really nice place. It felt very homey. They have a library, and they have a room where everybody congregates to either watch TV or talk among one another. You can go outside and sit on the grounds. They have a huge dining area.

I like Mrs Bush's Personal Care Home. We spent about 2 hours there walking around. They were having a musician playing and singing for the residents. I like very much what I saw. They take the residents shopping once in a while, and sometimes they go out to a restaurant. We like them an awful lot.

I took mom to nine facilities before we went to Mrs. Bush's. Some of the places were fantastic, others weren't too bad. Mom wouldn't really consider living in any of them. Mrs. Bush's was the opposite - she was sold as soon as she walked in the door. My family couldn't be happier with her choice. Mrs. Bush's is more like home than a facility. It is beautiful, well maintained and we love the staff and owners. Mrs. Bush retired and her two adult children run the facility. We can tell that they care about details that matter. The place is beautiful, spacious, and it smells nice. They hire quality, caring staff. They have varied programs and activities. Mom is participating in activities again - things that she had to give up when she could no longer drive. Mom loves it and so do we.

I am an involved parent and a member of my childs schooling group that scheduled a visit to Ms. Bush assisted living facility. I have to admit that I was impressed with the upkeeping of the facilty. I have worked in a few assisted living facilities and I know that the first impression gives you alot of insight on how the place is maintained. When I walked through the doors I was pleasantly surprised to see that it did not smell like urine. Its sad to say put alot of facilities do. The staff was very kind and attentive to the residents needs. The residents seemed happy and some had smiles on their faces, which is really hard to do when you are away from family members. Our children really enjoyed their visit and really do want to go back. I have to admit I also look forward to going back to such a pleasant place. I know that making the decision to place a loved one in an assisted living facility is difficult, but I have to say that if all other facilities were like. Ms. Bush's facility it would really make the process a bit easier.
