When a full staff is on duty including chef everything is fine. But when there are call outs etc the meals are horrendous. At the very least have pizza delivered instead of having a med tech or aide try to cook

Gluco Lodge Personal Care Home was very receptive. I went up, someone was there to greet me, and I liked the place. It seemed to be very clean. There seemed to be a lot of people around taking care of the residents. John did the tour for us and was very nice and gave me a lot of information. They were very helpful in letting me know what information I needed to get to them. Then he came and visited my mother and assessed her and was very quick to let me know that she was accepted there. Their rates were very reasonable. It was just a matter of it being too far.

My husband is at Gluco Lodge Personal Care Home for respite care. It is a great place. The food is decent, and the dining room is very nice. They have activities, like bingo and sing-alongs. All the staff is very nice, caring, and very helpful. The room he is in is very nice. They are very reasonably priced, too. If you needed a little more help than others, then you could be charged a little bit more, which is understandable. It is a very good place. Whoever would go there would be very happy with it.

We went to Gluco Lodge Personal Care Home. I thought it was a great place. It looked very nicely put together. The rooms were pretty much everything you need, like a little studio minus the kitchen, but some of them did have a kitchenette. They're nice and clean. They have a cleaning staff. It's pretty much like a hotel for older people. I like the fact that they had bus transportation there where the seniors can go out to the town if they would like to at their convenience. If I was to choose, I think that would be the best place for my friend. It provides amenities for different levels of elderly care. They offer personal care where they would make sure you take your medicine. Also, for people who needed less, that was available for them, too. They provide the meals, and they had a nice little outdoor area with a stream in the back. All the staff there seem to be knowledgeable in what they were doing. They had a nice little setup. They were like a smaller facility. But I like that they had like two living rooms on each floor so that if one was crowded, family members could go to another one. I enjoyed the place. It was a good experience. They said that they do little activities in the cafeteria like bingo night, and they have people come in for live music, which I think is nice. The only thing that may be lacking is that not everybody wants to go out on the bus, so if they had more of like outdoor greenery that people could go out and walk around and just really enjoy the nice days when they can and not always be caught up or just sitting on the deck, that would have made it to be a 5. The facility was very clean. There was no smell when you walk through. They seemed to be on top of it.

I toured Gluco Lodge Personal Care Home. They took the time, they walked me through, and they answered all the questions. They were very, very good. The staff there was friendly and receptive. Throughout the tour, I saw lots of people keeping the place clean and people prepping food in the kitchen. It was well-staffed, and everyone seemed to be happy and well attended to. It offers a lot of comforts, knowing that my father would be there in their care. The layout was very warm and very cozy. All the rooms have a nice, homey feel to them. It didn't have any sort of issues that I picked up from some of the other places I toured. The facility is fairly large, surprisingly so. From the front, it doesn't look like it's that big, but it's long and it's got a nice little area around and the back. They had several guest rooms over there where you can go, sit down with your family. They had a well-posted itinerary of what's going to happen that particular day and what's on the menu. So, it's easy enough for both those staying there as well as family to know what's available.

I toured Gluco Lodge Personal Care Home for my mom. When I went there, everyone was super nice. They went out of their way. They gave me a tour of every single bit of the facility. They didn't say," oh, I can't let you go here, I can't let you go there," like a lot of them did. They took me on a tour of every place, and they've been nice. Every time I needed assistance with anything, they constantly called and asked if they could do anything. The staff's name was Joanne and she's excellent. I needed assistance with VA, and she called them for me. She was terrific. Lunch was ending when I was there, but I did talk to some of the people that were sitting around, and they said that the food was fantastic. The facilities were terrific. They have outdoor decks where, if you are in a wheelchair, you can wheel yourself out to them. They have two separate decks, one to the side and one to the back. They do all kinds of activities for them, too. They have bingo and movies. There's one in particular that they showed me. It was some kind of a setup where they did a tour of a different country on a big screen, and it was like being there. It was amazing.

My mother-in-law is in Gluco Lodge Personal Care Home. There's somebody there all the time 24 hours. It's been good. It's a small place. They only have 40 residents, so she gets good care. Everything seems good. They specialize in diabetes, dementia, and Parkinson's. She's in a shared room. They do bingo and different things, they do shows, they bring in entertainment and stuff like that, a magician, and the Girl Scouts come in. They have a regular hairdresser and all that. The staff is very good. We haven't had a meal, but she does complain about the coffee not being hot, but I think they do that more so they don't burn themselves. She enjoys the activities.

My mother moved into Gluco Lodge Personal Care and I'm extremely happy with them. They have been phenomenal, and when she's not acting normal they call me, just to make me aware that there's a change in her personality, and that's exactly what I want. The people there actually care. It's not a job to them, it's like a big family. It's family-owned. They are updating things, and they just bought all new furniture for all the rooms. Some of the rooms still need replacing, but they don't smell, and although you can tell they're older, there's nothing wrong with them. It's well cleaned, the place is always extremely clean, and they just got a whole new security system with cameras on all the doors, hallways, and parking lots. They have call buttons, and they answer pretty quickly when you press that button. The food is very good, they have a chef, and you can have lunch there at no extra charge. Their price is half the price of the others, and they get the residents to join in the activities.

I have no problems with anyone here at Gluco Lodge. I enjoy the people and just the day to day. They provide activities such as Bingo and stuff like that. Most of the staff I get along with fine. The rooms are very nice. I don't have any big problem with it. There are some of them here that you can't communicate with, and you just have to accept it.

A home like environment in a resort type setting. So beautiful there! Excellent food and what a great program! Was floored when I saw the rates. Thought it would be so expensive, turns out to be cheaper then most. Wow
