My mother moved into The Vero of Bethlehem a week ago. Everything is brand new and the people are wonderful. Their staff is fantastic. The food, I guess, is healthy, but it's very bland. They have activities all day. It's beautifully laid out. It's tastefully decorated and it's very peaceful there. They have a gym, a salon, a movie theater, a bistro, a pool table, they have musical entertainment, and they're going to have bus trips. They didn't start that yet because they just opened a little over a week ago.

For $7,500 a month,I should be getting filet minion or anything I want. I’m tired of the reheated food , that’s if they don’t run out. The chef’s are underpaid , so they are constantly changing. Today for lunch ,I had a hot dog which literally tasted like a ball park frank. Please someone, help us. We are treated like kids ina high school. Cafeteria!

It would be phenomenal if we had the funds for The Vero of Bethlehem but they are more than we can spend. The staff was super friendly. They had lots of activities. As a senior, you want to be someplace where there's sunshine and lots of light and they met that criteria. Their living space was fine, but the bedroom was a little on the small side. Overall, you could make adjustments. It would be fine to choose that if the price were right.

The Vero of Bethlehem is brand new. Everybody was very nice. Everything's a ten. It's beautiful. The price is reasonable. They have assistive care and memory care. The apartments were beautiful. I didn't try the food, but I know the food is good from everybody that I know that is there. They have a theater, and they take the residents out everywhere. Every day, they have a different activity going on for the residents. It's a modern, up-to-date facility.

I did tour The Vero of Bethlehem. A young girl met with me, but she wasn't the scheduled one. I had an appointment with another one who left the building for some reason, and nobody seemed to know what to do. And finally, this young person took me around, and it was almost like she was just out of high school and had no clue as to what dementia patients would need. She was nice, but the presentation didn't come off as a place where I felt my mother would be well cared for. I just didn't have a good feeling about it. I got to see the memory care and the room was very small.

Everyone that I met at The Vero of Bethlehem, including the residents, was fabulous. Everybody was happy there. It's a brand new building, but it's a ride for me and that's what I'm concerned about and my family's concerned about. I can't get there in 10 minutes and neither can anyone else. They're an hour and a half to 2 hours away. So we don't want to put my mom at a facility that's too far for any of us to get to her. The staff was amazing though. I spoke to several people on the phone. I was with Laura, who escorted us around. She was so pleasant. She explained everything in every detail. She answered all my questions.

My wife will move into The Vero of Bethlehem. They're extremely nice people, and they offer a lot. She is going into memory care. We live only a few miles away from it, and it met a lot of what they thought would be very good for her. There were a lot of pluses for that. The people that represent the community are very, very nice people. They're very extremely compassionate and very knowledgeable. For amenities, they have a salon and a dining room. The staff are excellent. The building is brand new and very well laid out.
