My mom is at the Harrison Trail Health Campus Nursing Homes. I have only good things to say about it; we've had no complaints. She loves the place, she loves the workers, and she loves the residents. She says everyone is nice and the food is really good. It's very nice and clean, it's a newer facility. They have a lot of activities; she joins in on everything. They keep the residents busy basically all day long to keep them out of their rooms, so they're really out and about in the gathering spaces, or out on a field trip, or outside on one of the many patios.

Harrison Trail Health Campus is a brand new facility. The room is very spacious and very nice. It has a refrigerator, a microwave, and a nice big bathroom where you can just walk in to the shower. It's furnished. You can either have it furnished or you can bring your own furniture. The staff is very poor, and the food is very poor. They cannot keep a chef. They've only been open since June, and they've gone through three chefs so far. They have a new chef now, and they still tend to serve pancakes for dinner quite often. They've brought some kind of medical team in here, and they were never authorized to treat my father in any way. They came in and did some kind of hearing and bone test on him without our knowledge of it. I'm just now finding out about it because his insurance company was billed. I'm finding all these charges for these supposed doctors coming in here and treating my dad. I'm in the process now of talking with the director about this. They said the podiatrist has been trimming his nails and his toenails, and they haven't because I have. There's some shady stuff going on here. They seem to be very disorganized. We've had trouble with the billing from the get-go. They also lied to us and said that when my dad ran out of money, that he would move down the hall to the Medicaid room, but now they're saying no. They have a little exercise room. They have a lot of activities, and mostly the ladies are always making something. They have special events. Their social programs are very good. A lot of the people are out of their rooms, and they're sitting at the tables playing cards. There's a lot of lively activity as far as that goes. They have a little courtyard and a little putting green there. Sometimes they'll get out the cornhole board. You can play cornhole in this little courtyard area that they have; it's all completely fenced, so you can't go wandering off or anything or no one can come in. It's secure, so that's really nice, too. The aides that come around are very good.

Harrison Trail Health Campus is brand new, it just opened a couple of weeks ago. We were looking at that time at skilled nursing care for my mother because she fell. I just looked at the skilled nursing part of it, I didn't go into the assisted living part of it. They said they didn't have any available at the time. I talked to them anyway. The staff I talked to were helpful with the information. It looks like a nice place, they had big areas for people to meet, and they had bingo and stuff like that, activities for the senior citizens.
